Okay, I'm giving this volume four stars for the sheer fact that Kaneda did NOT make Shuna one of Romio's love interests despite being so close to him! THANK YOU SO FUCKING MUCH!! Also, I really liked the final brawl between Romio and his brother. Under normal circumstances, I would say that this was a hastily ended conflict, but considering that Romio's complicated relationship with his brother has building up to this point, I think it's a good resolution. Well done, Kaneda, well done.
Romio and Juliet's interactions were great, as usual, and I love Romio's mom! She's so stinkin' cute, I can't take it!! However, I didn't feel much weight towards the forbidden relationship story. Considering that they had a forbidden romance, were kicked out of their homes, but were able to marry into wealthy families makes the conflict kind of toothless. As in, even though this is a big deal, Romio and Juliet may still have good lives even if their relationship becomes public knowledge. I dunno, maybe this will change, who knows.
A great volume to be sure, despite my gripes. I do really enjoy this series and look forward to future installments.
Really loved this manga version of Romeo and Juliet! There are these 2 dorms at the Dahlia Academy; The black doggies and White cats and they have this longstanding feud(Like the Capulets/Mantagues) And Persia Juliet and Inuzuka Romio have to keep there love a secret! Really awesome beautiful story and artwork! Highly recommend if you enjoy any Romeo and Juliet Renditions😁😻❤️❤️
