One Lucky Girl #4

Training the Rookie

Rate this book
I was just a rookie.

I never knew how dirty a cop could be.
Until I had three of them in my bed at once.
When I started on the force, I knew I’d have a partner.
I didn’t know Jeremy would be hot as hell.
Or that he’d have two brothers that are just as sexy.
What I didn’t know turned out to be delicious.
They’re gorgeous, strong and protective.
I never planned to get involved with all three of them
But I can’t keep my mind off them.
And they can’t keep their hands off me.
Danger approaches and I have three men to keep me safe.
Can I keep all three of them satisfied?
Could a girl pass out from too much pleasure?

I’m about to find out.

Wonderful MMFM romance.

Blair is a rookie cop who is looking forward to starting her career as a police officer. Jeremy is assigned as her partner and right from the start there is a clear attraction. Then Blair meets Jeremy's brothers, Noah and Peter, there also seems to be an attraction between them as well. After a few days on the job, Blair has to shoot a robbery suspect and gets threatened by his cousin that she will pay for what she did. She ends up sleeping with Jeremy when he comes by to check on her. Then one evening as she is heading home she notices a man standing outside her apartment complex and it gives her the creeps. She ends up calling Peter and after an altercation with the guy, Peter takes her to his place and they end up in bed together. At another point she ends up with Noah and while they are all trying to figure out what is happening between them, they are also trying to protect Blair from the man who attacked her and Peter. This is a great story with lots of action and some steamy good times. Grab it today and find out if these brothers can share the beautiful, sassy Blair.

Training the Rookie by Natasha L. Black was a fast paced read for me as I just wanted to know what happened. Blair is a rookie cop who is paired with the smoking hot, Jeremy. Being a woman in the police force, Blair feels that she needs to prove her worth and falling for her new partner isn’t going to help that, even if he’s sexy, fun and smart, oh and he also has two equally, sexy, funny and smart brothers who also take her fancy, but how is she going to choose and keep her career on track? Due to an incident at work, Blair is thrown into the path of all three protective brothers, where she gets to spend time with them independently and in a group, here is where the fun begins.

This book was a great read. I particularly liked the relationship that the brothers had and they were all different but treated Blair like the strong woman that she is. Even though their relationship was complex, they all decided to work through it, albeit with a few road blocks and communication problems along the way. I also liked Blair as a character, even though she liked three men and understood what that would mean, she didn’t give up on being a police officer and certainly didn’t hide when it came to someone being after her, if anything, it made her more determined to do her job!

This was a sexy book to read and had a great story to it. It has definitely put Natasha L. Black on my must-read author list!

What a way to bring in the new year. Whew! Super Addictive Must Read. Training The Rookie is a wonderfully written romance filled throughout with a realistic storyline as well as the immense power poured in to creating each of the characters. As a rookie cop (& a woman), Blair, has more than proved her worth to be on the force. Too bad upon entering the precinct, she runs smack dab into the hottest man she has ever laid her eyes on and gets struck dumb. Unbeknownst to Blair, she already met her new partner as well as the beginning of her incredible happily ever after. All she needs now is to figure out how to choose; is it Jeremy, the partner, or one of his equally gorgeous brothers, Noah and Peter? Perhaps she doesn't have to choose? What Blair unfortunately does have to do is fight for her life against a perp with an ax to grind (& she's it). I truly adore a great romance, however, this book is perfection from cover to cover that I highly recommend devouring ASAP.

I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of Training The Rookie in exchange for my honest/voluntarily given opinion and I can not wait to see what is next from this brilliant Author. Thank you to Mrs. Natasha Black for your creative mind.

This is a wonderful story about Blair who is a police officer just starting her career with one hot sexy partner, Jeremy. They have an attraction right from the start and Blair does what she can to stay professional and does Jeremy. Noah and Peter are Jeremy’s brothers and once they meet Blair they are also attracted to her. During work one day Blair and Jeremy go out on a robbery call and she ends up shooting a man and he dies and is threatened that he will get Blair for it! Blair ends up sharing a special time with each brother as finds herself falling in love with each one for different reasons. The guys show her over and over again how much they care for her and how they will do anything to keep her safe. Blair and the brothers try to keep their unusual relationship to them selves but once the chief finds out she has a little talk with them and they all realize if they do love one another they they need to go all in! For the record (and not just because my sweetheart will know this review), I’ve no need or desire to stray ... or to get into a ménage, bit I gal is entitled to daydream, right? Natasha L. Black’s Training the Rookie: A Reverse Harem Romance is a great way to have heated day (and night) dreams. Not only is this a totally yummy and hot (really, really hot) ménage romance between rookie cop Blair, her experienced partner (experiences both as a cop and in, umm, enjoyable off duty pursuits) Peter and his brothers Peter and Noah, bit it’s also a neat thriller of a suspenseful cop story. A double win that is well executed and supported by a strong cast from precinct captain on down. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.

This was a very good reverse harem story. Blair is a rookie and just started working at the precinct when she runs into Jeremy, a fellow cop and her new partner. The attraction between the two is instantaneous and when they find out they’re partners, well the feelings are ratcheted up. Then, she meets his brothers, Peter and Noah and Blair is attracted to them also. They all know they can’t ache on their feelings, but it proves harder and harder. The connection Blair has with each brother is strong, and she likes each of their personalities. Peter is the oldest and more gruff and strict brother, Jeremy is the middle brother who is more relaxed and funny and Noah the youngest brother is quiet and a little shy. The chemistry with them is off the charts explosive. This has a great storyline with fantastic characters. These men will go to any length to protect the woman they are falling for.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of "Training the Rookie" and was pleasantly surprised.
Blair just made it out of the academy and accepted to the Police force. One run by a very strict, talented Captain whose rules and guidelines left no leeway. Blair had high expectations of herself, always had since Junior High School. Every thing she'd done had been building towards the day she was accepted onto the force. What she didn't see coming was being partnered with one of the hottest guys she'd ever seen. Nor could she foresee being attracted to his three brothers. What's a girl to do?
Don't miss this sweet, sexy, thrilling story by Natasha L. Black. The storyline flows and the characters, both good and bad, will leave you with a heart felt impression. Definitely a fit for an afternoon of pleasure reading.

If you're looking for a story with a lot of group action, this one isn't it. The only group action was a scene in the epilogue. Despite that, I thought it was a good reverse harem story. Blair had individual time with Jeremy, Noah, and Peter. I liked being able to see her developing relationships with each man individually. The scenes between Blair and each of her lovers was hot. Along with developing romances, there was some drama and danger. I thought how easily their relationship was accepted by others was pretty unrealistic, but that's sometimes why I read romance, to escape into a world of fantasy relationships. Overall, I enjoyed Training the Rookie.

Becoming a cop was everything she wanted to do and now she is one. And her partner is super hot but she is not here to look at guys she wants to be a cop. Focus. All she has to do is focus. But how can she when she is surrounded by hot guys? Her partner and she went to a robber in progress and she ended up taking the shoot. However, the other guy is not too hot about what went down. (You'll have to read about it to find out what happened.) His brothers are hot and now after what has happened, they are all concerned about her now. But as everything is going down she is falling for the brothers and they aren't jealousy about it. They just want to make her happy like they are making her happy. Does this story end with a happy ending. Well, you'll have to read to find out.

Blair is fresh out of the Police Academy and looking to make a good impression on her new boss. She just has one minor complication. She's attracted to her new partner. Things become a little more complicated when she meets Jeremy's brothers and is instantly drawn to them too. She tries to maintain a strictly professional relationship, but after they interrupt a robbery in progress and Blair ends up shooting and killing one of the assailants, everything changes. This steamy page turner is filled with temptation that could jeopardize more than one person's career. Will they be able to find a compromise before outside influences rob them of a real chance at love?

Well written story with nice storyline and plot. Likeable characters who develops nicely through the story. A story with steam flowing of the pages. It is written in multiple POV which gives the reader more of the feelings and thoughts of the main characters and brings the story closer.
Steamy and hot story but not because of steamy group scenes all the time. This is because of the chemistry between the characters. Three brothers which the heroin learns to know and have a relationship with. But she does it in a different way that usual in this kind of stories. Here she learn to know them individually and then decides what to do.
Worth the time and read. Entertaining and enjoyable easy read.

I started off this book with good intentions because of the positive reviews about it but there were many flaws not just with the storyline but with grammar and typos as well. There were sentences that abruptly stopped with no punctuation to say that they were done, there were several grammatical errors in sentence structure, and many typos that just ruined the fluidity of the story. Also, the story was just far from unbelievable. They don’t act like cops when it comes to the female MC being stalked, and they go around all together like it’s not going to raise suspicions when they’re trying to be on the down low with things. It was rough to even give it two stars...

So you've wanted to a Cop all your life? You work hard, train hard, pass the Academy, and get hired for your first job! The first job is with the strictest boss, and she puts you with the hottest guy. Oh and Hot Partner has two equally Hot brothers! Whats a girl to do? Get drunk, ride a bull? Or enjoy all the attention! This was a fun story, but not without it's drama! As the four go red light and siren into the future!

Blair is a new cop and partnered with a very attractive Jeremy. There’s instant attraction then Blair is also attracted to Jeremy’s brothers. One thing leads to another with each of them and she develops feelings for all three of them. They care about her enough to be willing to share if that’s what makes her happy. The attraction is believable and the sex is hot.

I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

Break out the handcuffs...

Plenty of sexual chemistry between Blair and her men makes this one hot read. The danger and intrigue makes the story-line an "attention keeper". So, I think it's safe to say that this one may have it all. It's definitely my favorite read by this author...so far.

Steamy reverse harem read! Blair is new to the police force and when she meets her new partner, Jeremy sparks fly. When she meets his brother, fireworks go off. While on the job Blair gets threatened and Jeremy and his brothers will stop at nothing to protect her, even spend the night in her bed. Great story and oh so hot! I loved it!

An amazing read. One woman just starting on the police force and 3 guys who want to train her in a lot of different ways. They are all hot alpha males. Read the blurb. NO spoilers. It is exciting, suspenseful, hot, intriguing, drama, emotional and so much more. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.

Awesome RH !

I always adore brother RH book and this one was so worth reading ! WoW three 🔥cops and a woman to share between them. They didn't expect to find themselves falling for the same woman . Jeremy , Peter and Noah never thought they'd end up dating one woman between them but Blair was someone that understood each of them . WoW I absolutely loved this book !!!

Training The Rookie

Ms Black has written a very good story. Believable and a fair assessment of how working conditions can lead to interesting outcomes. The author must have done some in depth study to make everything seem like the norm in these lives. I really enjoyed the book and would recommend it to those who like this genre and those who are just starting to read it.

Lucky girl

Some girls have all the luck. J
Not content with meeting one hot guy she meets three. Three hot brothers. It's a well told story of a bit unbelievable. Call me crazy but it could work. A follow up book would be great and lots of babies, one to each? Yeah that could work
Enjoyable

Nope

This is not what I would consider a reverse harem. This is one girl in separate relationships with 3 different guys. When they have sex it’s always separate, except for the last page on the book when it hints at them all being together in the bed, but it only glazed over it. Meh, not what I enjoy reading.

Um.... Not the only way I expect ever

Although author Natasha L. Block's writing with more of a story line is getting better; the intimate couplings are still immature. All sexual penetration is one on one. When reading poly couplings, one expects to read being taken by both or more partners at the same time, filling up more than one intimate body part.

Minha primeira experiência com RH, definido como RH. Eu esperei um Maya Banks (que amo), mas a história ficou muito tempo focando no individual. O que não faz sentido se é um RH. Certo? 😅

Lots of errors

I really would have enjoyed giving this book five stars, but it wasn't properly edited. The writing and the characters were outstanding. I can't wait to read another of Natasha Black's books.

First police RH I've read, 3 brothers & a female rookie. A robbery gone wrong finds FMC as a target of criminals set to make her pay. Working through their problems brings them closer together & their relationship flourishes, a light but good read. Thoroughly enjoyed it

Rough read

The story is a bit rough and needs to be tightened up and have the spelling and grammar checked too. It was a long story and some parts didn’t add any value and could have been edited out. Just a rough read.

Enjoyed it very much

Great new twist to this type of romance. Great characters. Better editing would've made it read smoother in a few places. Overall as a budding writer I'd have to say she's off to a good start
