Mikey and Gabriel have been neighbors for years but other than exchanging a few words they've never really talked.

Mikey loves to party and Gabriel seems the total opposite; nerdy with glasses and aloof. He's certainly not the type of guy Mikey would fancy.

That's until New Year's Eve and Club Heaven is throwing the hottest party in town. When Mikey spots Gabriel in the crowd he thinks his mind is playing tricks.

Because Gabriel isn't staying in Heaven, he's heading downstairs to the members-only venue: Hellfire.

What happens when you follow someone from Heaven to hell? Mikey is about to find out.

There was nothing offensive about this one, but it just didn't do anything for me as a reader. I didn't particularly like or dislike the characters, but I also didn't feel like they had any chemistry together whatsoever, and finishing this (admittedly brief) 7K word story felt like a bit of a slog. The writing felt a little tortured throughout, but that might be smoothed out as the author gains more experience. Maybe? I hope...

Bottom line: I can appreciate that this was a freebie intended to whet the reader's appetite for more from an up-and-coming MM author, but I won't be running to Amazon to stock up on Joyce's backlist.

An interesting quick read with nice characters and an interesting set-up. Would be interested in seeing what happens to these two after their chance meeting at the club.

This is my first time reading this author. This was a short hawt mm contemporary story about Mickey and Gabriel.,who start off as innocent neighbours and it gets hotter from there. I’ll read more from this author.

Beaucoup trop court, j'aurais aimé qu'il y en ai un peu plus, mais sur le principe, l'histoire est assez sympa - le livre divertit et se lit vite (je sais, c'est contradictoire avec mon commentaire qui dit que je le trouve trop court), et c'est pourquoi je l'avais choisi à la base.
Et en parallèle, j'ai bien aimé l'écriture ce cet auteur que je ne connais pas.
Affaire à suivre !

Loved this story, so promising, but it was way too short. Gabriel and Mikey have just got together and it ends?. I know they appear in Theo’s book but they are already established. We have not been given enough of their character traits to glean anything about them. More about them please.👌

A cute little story, we learn here to never judge a book by its cover, there is more to Gabriel than Mikey ever believed. Gabriel is quite something indeed and an unexpected meeting in a weird room gives us one hot but short story.
