So it seems in this story that Guinevere, Lancelot, Merlin, Boris, and Modred's reincarnations/descendants are on a continuous loop to repeat the past (i.e. the Arthurian legend's ending for those characters throughout different periods). And, they just continue on this loop until Guinevere kills "evil" Arthur. Guinevere's harem is Aima's who are like vampires shifters who each have a Queen within their individual harems. I also want to add that I felt confused at some points because as a new reader of this author, I did not know anything about her past books or the setting within them. Overall, not at all what I expected and kinda a let down since I love the Arthurian legend. My biggest issue was just the reincarnation type characters, an okay plot, and the imbalance in the harem. I also want to clarify that this book is not complete but in an ongoing series. 2.5-star rating.
2. Death’s Choice – Laura Greenwood The heroine Kali is a necromancer that is an assassin because of blackmail. Kali gets sent on a mission to protect the prince wherein the palace she meets her soulmate harem. Overall I enjoyed this one but something was missing and it was mostly drama-free. 3.5-star rating. (standalone)
3. Immortal Seduction – Jen Katemi A story about Aphrodite falling in love with three firefighters. This was a stand-alone erotica story. This book was just not to my personal taste and I didn't like it. 1.5 stars.
4. Queenie – Helen Scott A runaway empath princess who has to return home to her dying father. This story centers around her relationship with her royal guards/ex-best friends. This was unique and enjoyable. 3.5 stars. (standalone)
5. Golden Binds – Laylah Roberts A story about a Cinderella/belle character with a gang leader brother going into a mysterious castle. Very similar to beauty and the beast but with bear shifters not yet activated. Overall, I really enjoyed this. 4 stars. (standalone)
6. Envy’s Revenge – Scarlette D’Noire I didn't like this book. The whole idea of an island girl in love with her island is just not what I'm into. Especially since it's her choice to live that way. Also, there wasn't enough background information on the previous character's relationships before the book began. And, the romance just wasn't there for me. 2 stars. (standalone)
7. Interwoven: The Selection – Rene Folsom and Tigris Eden So this was similar to a post-apocalyptic setting where women were rare and there is a selection similar. It was like a dragon twist on the Handmaidens tail. This book was different and I really liked it. Overall, great pace, characters, and plot. 4.5-star rating. I would definitely continue this series.
8. Three Arrows – Skye MacKinnon This is a story about cupid's forced apprentice and her relationship between 3 shifters she accidentally shot with love arrows. Overall, this read felt lacking and incomplete in many ways. For instance, there wasn't really any romance. But the other elements of this book were very well done. 2.5 stars. (incomplete novel version, possible series)
9. Oracle Defiant – Keira Blackwood and Liza Street This is a story about an oracle that can't see (visions). Her sister is taken and she gets guards to protect her who becomes her love interests. Not a lot of action happened in this one but I really enjoyed it and would definitely continue the series. 4 stars.
10. Wonderland’s Secret – E.B. Black This was a twist on Alice in Wonderland. Although not a true RH I enjoyed this. I thought the plot was good but I could have used some more details during the fight with the queen, more explanation about dying wonderland, and an epilogue. 3.5 stars. (standalone)
11. The Big, Bad She-Wolf - by Delia Castel This is about a werewolf who gets in the assassin guild. And, she has her first heat with her three targets. This also has some revenge plot elements not against the love interests but against the leader of the guild. This was a quick and three little pigs inspired novel. I liked it. Although I think it was an incomplete type of standalone book I'm not 100% sure. 3.25 stars.
12. The Crazy Cheetah Lady – Pepper McGraw This is about a paranormal romance author named Abby who saves three cheetah cubs. Abby ends up getting a mother bond with the cheetah cubs and becoming a half shifter. Overall, this was a really great shifter romance and all the characters were well developed. 4.5 stars. (standalone)
13. Amina’s Choice – Lori Titus This took place in a setting where there's a mate competition/choosing ceremony. I felt that the heroine was dishonest and I didn't really like her. Also, the triad relationship (not technically RH) was done improperly. Overall, this book had potential but I think the overall execution was lacking. 2 stars. (standalone)
14. Out of Control – Donna R. Mercer This is about a romance taking place between scientists and the heroine in Antarctica. This book was okay but not amazing. But overall it was well done and enjoyable. I just felt something missing. 3 stars. (standalone)
15. Nuriel – Nikki Landis This was the first book within a series. This was about an angel (actually half-angel half-demon) earning her wings. Basically, it has this plot by defeating a demon prince, stopping suicides, and having both demon and angel lovers. Overall, this book felt way too rushed and not developed enough. Too many things happened in a short amount of time and it just wasn't my taste. 2 stars.
16. Saving Eira – Laura Greenwood A book about the descendent of jack frost, Eira, and her love life. Her love interests include her guy witch best friend, a vampire, and a summer fae. This was a book within a series and it included some fae drama. Overall, this book was kinda blah and wasn't very interesting or unique for me. 2.5 stars
17. Their Hybrid – Skye MacKinnon So the heroine, Dex, is a half-human half cyborg. Which was not what I was expecting from the title. This book really reminded me of Cinder from the lunar chronicles. Although in this story Dex has masters that send her to go on different missions and tasks. The romance also starts as a marriage of convenience. Overall feels rushed and too much focus on being a hybrid and not enough on romance. 3 stars. (standalone)
18. Mystic Hallows Harem (Black Magic Voodoo) -Nikki Landis This was a book within a series. The heroine is a Salem witch descendant whose enemy is a rogue voodoo witch. The story centers around fighting her. In the plot, the heroine has no badass moments just constantly being injured by the villain. Overall, this just wasn't my taste specifically because this was a witch book and felt a little too YA. 2.5 stars.
Overall Thoughts: All these stories were full-length books and not just novella's or short stories. I ended up dragging my feet on finishing this compilation just because there was a lot of just okay books within this one. But, unlike the majority of compilations I have read, there were quite a few gems in this series. 3 stars. My 2 favs were Interwoven: The Selection – Rene Folsom and Tigris Eden and The Crazy Cheetah Lady – Pepper McGraw.
***************Queen Takes Camelot by Joely Sue Burkhart***************
Rating: 5/5
I really love the arthurian legends where Arthur is this beloved and awesome king, so I wasn't sure how I would react when Joely re-writes this to make Arthur the villain, and make Gwen unable to choose between the knights (hello, reverse harem #whychoose). But my scepticism was unfounded and man, oh man, did she deliver!!
Joely has a knack for writing these amazing worlds and characters, that makes me forget about time and place whilst I'm reading about their adventures. And Queen Takes Camelot is no different!
Readers meet Gwen for the first time in Queen Takes Checkmate (Their Vampire Queen Book 5) and already there, she's a really interesting character. But reading about her in her own book, was nothing short of amazing. She's by no means a powerful queen, yet. - But she's wilful and she's determined. That determination shines through the pages and makes her a worthy lading lady. Of course it doesn't hurt that we also hear from Shara in this book.
My only complaint is that the book isn't longer. I could easily have stayed with Gwen for another 100's of pages.
***************Envy's Revenge by Scarlette D'Noire***************
Rating: 3.5/5
Envy lives on an isolated island and she doesn't know her origins. With her kind, caring spirit and connection to nature, she is a mystery. I feel that this story give readers a small glimpse into her world, and I'm definitely wanting to know more. As interesting as the characters are, I did feel that the plot was a little bit rushed and I would have loved to get underneath the surface of it all. The end of this story is a huge cliffhanger, and I cannot wait to find out more.
My review currently is for Nuriel by Nikki Landis. This is a fantastic reverse harem story that is filled with non stop action and of course steamy sexual desires being fulfilled. I was Captivated from the very beginning and couldn’t put my kindle down. I can’t wait to see what the other authors in this anthology have to share because I’m hooked.
I loved Nuriel. The story was hot and steamy and kept me captivated. I want more and more and more!! And WOW what a way to end a story. So perfect. Please tell me Nikki that you are writing more about Nuriel, her angel and demons. I can't get enough.
I am reviewing Nuriel by Nikki Landis This book was fantastic, a quick read with a great storyline that kept me fascinated and turning the pages. The story was intriguing, daring, sexy, and much much more. The characters are amazing and you can't help falling in love with them. Amazing read and I definitely recommend it!
I received a free copy of this book via bookfunnel and I am voluntarily leaving a review
Angels & Demons RH Adventure! Unique storyline pairs angels with demons and brings an engaging twist to this reverse harem saga. This is the first in this new series which pits Nuriel and her mates against Satan and his cohorts. Interesting characters, intriguing mystery, magic, mayhem, steamy romance, a sweet ending with lead-in for the upcoming books. Enjoy!
I received an arc copy and am happy to leave my honest review.
I loved this book! The different story lines going on were great! It kept you guessing what would happen to Nuriel! I can not wait to read the rest of this series!! I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to read!
This is a fab collection of reverse harem tales written by some fab authors! Nikki landis - Nuriel - This is a fast paced, action packed and steamy novella with angels and demons that is an intriguing and quick read! Laura Greenwood - Deaths Choice about a necromancer and assassin . Tons of mystery and chemistry . Skye Mackinnon - Three arrows, a story full of love and heartache and Cupid .
Loved this new storyline. I know I’m going to love Gwen and her guys as much as Shara. This is really a great set up and start for what is to come. I already have an enemy to dispise and a team of queens to love. Another fantastic addition to the Queens.
Nuriel by Nikki Landis:
I absolutely loved this story. I love the heaven and hell dynamic and all that entails. This has a nice, quick moving plot that kept my attention the whole time. I liked the MC and her guys and the dynamic. I look forward to the full series later on the year.
"Captivated Anthology" has a phenominal array, eighteen books to be exact, in this anthology. It includes: 1. QUEEN TAKES CAMELOT - Joely Sue Burkhart 2. DEATH'S CHOICE - Laura Greenwood 3. IMMORTAL SEDUCTION - Jen Katemi 4. BLACK MAGIC VOODOO - Nikki Landis Strange things started happening in Mystic Hallow exactly on the day Samhain was to begin. Damian Rockcastle, a vampire .. Gabriel Alton, a Lycan or Werewolf … Ryder a Ghoul showed up acting as if it were coincidence but knowing Cassie and having answers. Things Cassie didn't immediately understand. Once again, Nikki Landis has created a world full of magic, both good and evil, with a plot so intense it will leave chills and characters that will make you laugh, shed a tear, while infusing you with loyalty. All the while, you'll be infused with indignation and outrage at the evil she has created in this story. What an enchanting tale and what promises to be an outstanding series. Congratulations once again!!
5. THEIR HYBRID - Skye McKinnon 6. QUEENIE - Helen Scott 7. GOLDEN BLINDS - Laylah Roberts 8. ENVY'S REVENGE - Scarlette D'Noire 9. INTERWOVEN: THE SELECTION - Tigris Eden & Rene Folsom 10. THREE ARROWS - Skye McKinnon 11. ORACLE DEFIANT - Keira Blackwood & Liza Street 12. WONDERLAND'S SECRET - E. B. Black 13. BIG BAD SHE WOLF - Delia Castel 14. THE CRAZY CHEETAH LADY - Pepper McGraw 15. AMINA'S CHOICE - Lori Titus 16. OUT OF CONTROL - Donna R. Mercer 17. NURIEL - Nikki Landis This was a quick read that was just over the top intriguing, adventurous, and sexy. The storyline is a classic, good vs evil, and yet it was so much more. Nikki Landis brought these characters to life is such a way you felt like you knew them. What a great read! Even though this one is in the Captivated Anthology, I'm hoping we get stories for all seven deadly sins. What a rush that would be. 18. SAVING EIRA - Laura Greenwood
How exciting it this? Almost all new authors to me at this reading, so my choice right now for review are "Black Magic VooDoo" and "Nuriel", both by Nikki Landis. If you've not read any of her works, then you are certainly in for a treat as she is one of my favorite authors. With her in this anthology, I can only assume the same caliber of writing from the others who have stories in this book, which makes this very exciting indeed. I can't wait to read the rest of them.
Saving Eira by Laura Greenwood Once again Laura Greenwood’s take on the paranormal universe is captivating. Eira is a descendant of Jack Frost (plus she has a little something more), who is connected with her mates - a witch, fae and vampire in this fun reverse harem story. Saving Eira by Laura Greenwood is a beautifully written story, and one that I’m disappointed that I didn’t read sooner. I highly recommend this, and can’t wait to read more of the Fated Seasons series.
Three Arrows by Skye Mackinnon Honestly this is one book I’ve been waiting to read from Skye Mackinnon, and she didn’t disappoint. Three Arrows, is a beautiful story filled with love, heartache and discovery. The story follows Miya and her latest mission as Cupid’s apprentice, to have her 3 targets fall in love. Simple. But unfortunately or maybe fortunately for Miya, the mission doesn’t go to plan. I highly recommend Three Arrows, and can’t wait to read more.
Death’s Choice by Laura greenwood Kali’s a necromancer and assassin in a world that doesn’t know necromancers exists, where she’s given assignments by the Order to kill. After another successful assassination, she’s give a rather unusually commission - bodyguard for the Prince. Kali embarks on her journey, and when she meets the Prince and his inner circle, she’ll realise that this assignment won’t be as straight forward as she thought. Not only are there other supernaturals around, but she’ll discover her soul mate (or two). Death’s Choice is a paranormal fantasy reverse harem story, and one of my top picks and high up on the recommendation list. I absolutely loved this story.
Three sexy demons, Two Feuding Realms, One Angel trying to earn her wings...
Reaching her goal is supposed to be quick and easy. Nuriel has one last assignment - save the soul determined to take his own life. Only Josh doesn’t want to be saved and he’s not who he appears to be. Her partner and fellow angel Cam isn’t much help, especially when they discover the seven deadly sins are wreaking havoc in the human world in ways they never imagined. Add the trio of demons sent to destroy her, and it’s one BAD day. When the old feud between demons and angels drives her to seek the truth, Nuriel is forced to question her origin and the real reason she’s been given an impossible assignment. Now she’s torn between love, lust, loyalty, ancient bloodlines, and four sexy men who want to enslave her soul and harvest her blood as much as ravish her body. Choosing her path isn’t easy, especially when angels aren’t supposed to be wicked.
My review is for Nikki Landis Nuriel.
I was absolutely intrigued with this one being 1 angel and 3 demons. This is a fantastic reverse harem story. It is filled with non stop action and of course steamy sexual desires being fulfilled. I was Captivated from the very beginning and couldn’t put my kindle down. I can’t wait to see what the other authors in this anthology have to share because I’m hooked. Nuriel is HOT AND STEAMY with a fantastic story line.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.
This book is totally something new and fresh in my reading mind. I loved the way the story unfolds and the backstory of Nuriel. Seeing the history of Angles and Demons….super cool for me anyway. This book is all about Nuriel, who we know is an angel annnnnd something else but what??? We get to understand the “world” she is living and working in plus see her suitors….yes and they sure are a mixed bag of yummy……a traditionally good alpha and 3 anti-heros….what girl wouldn’t be happy with that situation??? LOL
I loved the set up of the story and knowing we have a lot more to come makes me even happier. I mean Nuriel has a whole lot more instore for her with dealing with Hell and Heaven. I am going to guess a lot of trouble dealing with the men in her life too. The chemistry was insane between the characters!!
Considering this was a novella to get your interest peaked in the story, I think the author did a great job. It was very action packed but the details were never skimmed on IMO to jump start the series.
I have read only one of the books in the collection, Nuriel by Nikki Landis.
First I have to mention that Nikki has built a world loosely based (extremely loosely) on archangels, demons and the seven deadly sins. I suspended what I know about the mythology of these in order to read the book.
Nuriel is learning. She is in angel training and is sent on missions to save souls. Cam also is in training and has affections for Nuriel. He maneuvers things so he is Nuriels' partner on her missions. On the latest and last mission, Nuriel and Cam meet three demons. The demons have been sent to make sure the soul Nuriel is trying to save is lost, but they are also attracted to Nuriel. Before it is over, Cam and Nuriel are battling one of the demons associated with the seven deadly sins. To top it off, there is a mystery about Nuriel that Cam tries to solve. The answer to the mystery is the answer to Nuriels' very nature that will impact the war between the archangels and the demons. This book also has explicit sex scenes.
Some of the shifts between scenes and points of view are a bit awkward. However I still found myself looking forward to the next twist in the story. Good for a light read if you are ok with the sex and the unusual structure of the mythology.
** Nuriel by Nikki Landis ** Demons and angels are a combination that creates a unique story. This is increadibly steamy with non stop sction. The ending is even more wow worthy.
** Three Arrows by Skye Mackinnon ** A Cupid's apprentice mission gone wrong! This is a short yet beautiful story that is chock full of love, adventure, and heartache. I can't wait to read more!
**Death's Choice by Laura Greenwood** A necromancer & assassin who hates to kill is a bit of a paradox but make for an intriguing story. This is a quick read with mystery elements and has incredible chemistry between characters. I liked that there was some unpredictability in the story.
**Queenie by Helen Scott** Queenie by Helen Scott is a moving romance. At the beginning it seemed like it was starting from the middle of the series and had books before it. After reading I can say that it is a standalone RH romance where everything is explained in it's own time.
** Saving Eira by Laura Greenwood ** Fun twist on the descendant of Jack Frost. The story was fun, unpredictable and leaves you wanting to read the next book in the series.
This is a great collection of reverse paranormal stories. I've reviewed a few of my favorites and I'm looking forward to reading some new to me authors. Nuriel: By Nikki Landis Nuriel is still learning about being an angel and is sent on a mission to save souls. Cam has got a thing for Nuriel so her arranges to be her mission partner. Loved the good vs evil and fight for souls between the angels and demons. This is a intriguing, steamy, quick read full of demons and angels and a great ending. Black Magic Voodoo: By Nikki Landis This book has it all vampires, witches, werewolves, ghouls and more. Cassie and the guys are great characters and the story line is interesting. Looking forward to reading more episodes in the future. Saving Eira: By Laura Greenwood Eira is a descendent of Jack Frost and her only job is to make sure the frost arrives on time but this year it's late. Everything changes for Eira when she realizes her power is blocked. Rueben, Leth and Josh are Eira's fated mates and are working together to find a way to get her power back. Great writing, interesting characters, a steamy reverse harem and a great start to the Fated Seasons series.
Review for Oracle Defiant by Liza Street and Kiera Blackwood
I received an ARC of Oracle Defiant, book one of the Spellbound Sisters series (set in the same world and time as the Spellbound Souls series, which has Ariana, Slade, Quentin, Taylor, and Whitesong corporation) in exchange for an honest review.
Oracle Defiant follows Sparrow, an Oracle who struggles with her powers. After her sister Wren goes missing, Sparrow is assigned shifter bodyguards. This book is definitely fast burn, a change from the Spellbound Souls series, and hot as hell. Not to mention, Sparrow is a firecracker, and she doesn't take shit - but she's also not stupid, a lovely combination. I liked her guys, and I hope to get to know them better if we get her perspective in the next book (not sure if it will switch to her sister Wren). I read it in one sitting, and I really enjoyed it. 4 stars. I will definitely read book two. Great work as always, Liza and Kiera!
So many amazing authors in this anthology that wrote some awesome and addicting stories that just pull you in and won’t release you until you get to the very end. Joely Sue Burkhart, Nikki Landis, Skye Mackinnon are the main reason I bought this anthology because I absolutely love the way they weave their stories. The rest of the authors were just a sweet added bonus I thought. So it’s going to be a big HECK YEAH I most definitely do recommend Captivated to anyone who searching for some awesome stories to get lost in.
This first installment of Paragon’s Creed — Nuriel will take you to a different dimension of angels, Archangels, seven deadly sins, sexy demons and how will they work together to save the world from the seven deadly sins and their demon counterparts.
It’s my first book of Nikki Landis and it’s amazing. She explained each character well but I believe she would be able to develop each character more in the next book. I also expect twist and surprises!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I am a big fan of reverse harem stories. This set features a diverse collection.
I liked that many of them told a complete story instead of just an introduction to a series to get the rest of the story.
The heat level is not as high as i expected but I did like that the authors focused on developing characters and not rushing to sex scenes without any buildup.
I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. This was a story about Nuriel, Cam, Oro, Enzo and Phen. Cam and Nuriel are angels tasked with saving people's souls. When they run into three demons, Enzo, Oro and Phen. Lots of sexual tension. Everything she knows is not as it seems. Watch as they save some very important people.

OMG OMG OMG! I LOVED NURIEL! 💧💧💧🔥🔥🔥🔥❤❤❤❤ THIS WOULD BE MY REVIEW, HA HA I truly truly loved Nuriel, the adventure, her naivete and her willing to self sacrifice, a true heroine. Add to this an RH, An unexpected alliance with Angels, Demons, Gods, Archangels, i couldn't put it down let alone breath at the end! I can't wait to see the next installment Nikki Landis, you blew me away!!
I was captivated from the beginning. This story gives us insight into Nuriel's life and the history of angels and demons. As the battle between good and evil escalates we see Nuriel struggle to protect herself and those she loves. This reverse harem is a hot and steamy must read.
I have only read one story in this group Nuriel by Nikki Landis. Nuriel was a wonderful adventure of Angels and demons. I loved this short steamy good and evil story. I always love a good story where good and evil find a way to go hand and hand. If the rest of the stories are like this one this is a wonderful set of stories.
Nuriel is an angel in training, and wants to gain her wings - her father Uriel disappeared years ago and her partner and fellow angel cant seem to help her a lot. They are tasked with saving Josh from suicide and demons - but discover that there are many secrets in play! Why is Mammon targeting Josh - and Nuriel? Will she be able to beat him, and discover the secrets about her life? An awesome story!

I am a great fan of the authors' work and I really enjoyed this book!!! It would fantastic if the story could be expanded into a series. I enjoyed the angel and demon interaction and the mystery surrounding Nuriel's ancestry.

This review is for Nuriel by Nikki Landis. I really enjoyed this book. It has just the right amount of action, suspense and steam to be a well rounded book. The story line and characters are interesting and I cant help but want to read the next book!
***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.*** Nurial by Nikki Landis is a great reverse harem book. This was a great quick read and completely pulled me into the story. I couldn't get this book out of my head. I really hope Nikki decides to write more to this story.
I received a free copy of this book however all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. I loved this! It grabbed me from the first page, kept me til the last and enthralled me in between. Well worth your time to read it.
