Bunny loves to read! An outdoor story time at the Library caught his attention one day and he’s been hooked ever since. But as soon as the weather turned cooler, story time moved indoors. How was Bunny going to hear the stories now? Something has to me done! He needs his books. So Bunny sets out on a Bunny book heist! The picture of him trying to break into the Library is hilarious. Haha….It looked hopeless at first. The Library was locked up tight until…wait! I won’t spoil the surprise for you. You have to see how Bunny finally hops in. :D Once inside, the magic of the Library world will charm readers from head to toe.
“He took a deep breath. It smelled as if he were wrapped inside the pages of his favorite book.”
Bunny reads and reads and reads. Bringing piles of adventures home! Once the word spreads of Bunny’s book break-ins, everyone wants in on the fun and learning. Bear, Porcupine, and more all want books to share and read again & again. But what happens when the Librarian discovers Bunny and all his friends in the Library. Will Bunny be without his beloved books once again?
A fun, sweet book with soft, adorable pictures filled with Library love and the joys of reading. Bunny hopping around the Library made me smile.
Perfect for reading before or after getting your very first Library card.
Every librarian should run out and display this proudly in their children's section. With cute illustrations and an adorable plot that supports the contagious fun of reading library books, I think any book lover will be charmed by this sweet read.
Прекрасна книжка за четящи родители и деца! Толкова мила история, която по много простичък и емоционален начин разказва за любовта към книгите и магията, която носят!
Ben gives this one five stars mostly because it has a porcupine, which looked to him a lot like a hedgehog and he's a big fan of hedgehogs. But he was pretty into it even before the porcupine; the illustrations were great, the style different from his other books, and the story was very exciting for him. He spit up three times, and even started crying when the lights in the library suddenly came on... but we don't want to give anything away. This is a great picture book for anyone who loves libraries, books or bunnys...
This book is charming. The illustrations are lovely, and the story about animals sneaking into the library to form a book club is original and engaging! I love this as a read aloud!!!
Bunny's Book Club by Annie Silvestro is absolutely adorable and the illustrations by Tatjana Mai-Wyss are gorgeously cute and colourful. If you love animals and libraries as much as I do, then I highly recommend it. It's a children's picture book, but I'm pretty sure we all have an inner child ^.^
Bunny listens to the stories the librarian reads as she sits on the steps for library story time. Like they do for many children, books allow Bunny to imagine himself on great adventures. But when the weather gets chilly and story time moves inside, Bunny misses the books so much he can't even sleep! This adorable book follows Bunny as he discovers a secret way into the library...and brings his book-loving forest friends along for the adventure of a lifetime. A perfect read-aloud for little bookworms, with sweet illustrations full of humor and warmth. The library-card pocket in the endpapers (showing that the books has been checked out by Bunny, Bear, Porcupine, and Raccoon) is the cherry on top of this delightful picture book.
This is a super cute book about reading, sharing and loving books. The book is about a bunny who loves books. He secretly listened to individuals reading to their children in the park and he listened along with the children outside the library as the librarian read, rabbit hid in the bushes. Problems arose when the summer program ended and all the activities moved back inside the library, leaving rabbit outside without his stories. He could watch them through the window but bunny couldn’t hear about the adventures that were inside those pages.
Bunny couldn’t handle life without books so he decided to sneak into the library. Wow, so many books awaited him! After creating a huge pile, Bunny found his way out of the library with his books and he hurried home to start reading. Bunny was so happy!
What a happy, positive story about reading and the love of sharing this with others. I thought it was funny how bunny’s house was getting full of books and I loved how bunny gathered a variety of books. As his friends joined in on his adventure, I liked the titles that they were looking into and I loved that they all got together to share this common activity. The illustrations were adorable! This book is a treasure. I see that there is a sequel to this book, I’m going to have to grab that. 5 stars!!
This is one of the cutest picture books I've seen! Bunny falls in love with books while listening in to storytime at the library. But when storytime moves inside at the end of summer he must find a way to get access to more books. So, he finds a way to get into the library and borrow books. Soon all his animal friends notice he's not around as much and one by one bunny introduces them to the library. The illustrations are just beautiful and the story is so cute and illustrates a love of reading and the library.
Ahhhhh! So cute!! A bunzo loves to listen to storytime when it's held outside during the summer, but once it gets a little chilly the librarian moves it back inside. Jonesing for some stories, the bunny hops into the book drop after hours and starts reading reading reading. More animals join in, but eventually the get busted by the librarian who gets them all library cards! This would be a really fun book to use for a class visit where we're distributing library cards, and it also puts the idea in kids' heads that they can have a book club. Double whammy!
This is a delight! The illustrations are wonderful, I love the library card slip on the end pages and so is the story. Rabbit has gotten everyone involved in reading, even bear trying to squidge in through the return chute is hilarious! I'm so pleased that the librarians solution is to just give them all library cards. Although I'm curious about Porcupine being so excited about a book on hedgehogs, does he like hedgehogs? Like just really into them and wants to learn about them? Porcupines and hedgehogs are not related…
Who wouldn't love a book about a bunny starting a book club. Bunny loves books so much that it causes sleepless nights when books aren't being read. I loved the fact that this bunny shared books and encouraged the other animals to read. There was one thing that I didn't like, when Bunny broke into the library and stole some books and brought friends along for the mission. All was made right with a forgiving librarian who issued library cards to all. This was a fun book and a great addition to storytime.
The illustrations and story are perfectly, heart-warmingly adorable. Bunny loves books and listening to outdoor storytime, but he isn’t sure he’s allowed in the library to get books of his own. Once the season changes and storytime moves inside, he misses it and, yearning for books to read at home, breaks into the library to get himself some. So cute! Painfully cute! I loved this.
I recently purchased a stack of kid's books, each full of great art and a cozy little story. This is the first one I have read! It was a charming story of Bunny and his animal friends all finding a love for reading. The illustrations were so cute! When I came to add it to my shelves, I saw it is the first in a series! How exciting!
A bunny finds out he can get into the library after hours via the book drop. He enlists a crew of animals to essentially steal books so they can enjoy them in his rabbit burrow. Fortunately, the librarian discovers the crew and gets them all library cards and teaches them about borrowing. Really cute illustrations and a great introduction to the purpose of a library - sharing!
