So, this book indeed had 50 stories. It maybe had 20 which I would deem 'traditional' horror stories. (which were coincidentally the ones I enjoyed most!) And 'greatest' is certainly a matter of opinion.

The three stars are for the stories I enjoyed - see aforementioned interpretation of 'greatest' if you're unsure how I rate the stories I didn't enjoy so much.
