Takumi Suzuki, kind of a loner at school and a hardcore pop star fan (and an amateur singer himself) inadvertently uncovers Misaki Hayakawa's secret. Misaki, being the most popular guy at school (as well as Takumi's crush), has to stop this secret from getting out at all costs. As leverage, he makes Takumi dress up as a girl and takes photos of him like this... It's mortifying, but at the same time, it's incredibly exciting... For some reason, Misaki kisses Takumi, and that's when Takumi loses it. He pounces on Misaki, and has his way with him! Takumi apologizes profusely after the deed is done, but Misaki tells Takumi he'd been saving himself for a pop star... The only way Misaki will ever forgive him is if he makes Misaki's dreams come true by becoming a real pop star!!! A geeky, hardcore pop star fan (who's actually a cross-dressing pop star!!) and the most popular guy at school in a heart-thumping pop star romance.
The story isn't overly developed but it has what you would want from this kind of book in spades and well articulated. There are also moments of real cuteness and geekiness that is fun if you are also a fan of idol culture or have ever felt nerdy in the past. The real selling point for me as a general book enthusiast though is the beautiful production of this book, the cover sleeve has a lovely illustration but peeking underneath you get a lovely illustration in white and pink on the front, a fully utilized spine decoration and an extra comic page on the back that just shows the team cared about making this. Kuma have really made something spectacular with this one, I'd definitely suggest picking it up.
One for the crossdressing kink crowd, and probably a much younger reader than I. The art was cute and the trope-y, slightly problematic start to the relationship isn’t actually too heinous, considering the couple is fleshed out into a pretty cute pair. It improved as it went and stayed fairly positive, but its specific modern cultural relevancy is the only real novelty here. The best thing about the book to me is its presentation and it won’t be re-read often, if at all. (I really wish this publisher’s foray into BL started with better books, but it’s hardly surprising given their background, and a topic for a different place.)
For starters this book is an adult book, 18+ only for sure! It's a little silly, fast paced, lots of sex, entertaining read.
I really did enjoy this book, I like the swaps with the Seme/Uke dynamic. Very typical 18+ BL story for the actual plot, lots of sex, lots of unrealistic and over dramatic reactions to sexual situations lol. It's good for what it is, a fun time with some cute characters, no big plot points, nothing extremely investing.
I am a huge enjoyer of deep plots and lots of relationship build up, so I will say I was kinda disappointed that the main character and the love interest just immediately started hooking up and acting in love within the first chapter or so, but I have read Waco's work before on Renta and this is something she does often, have the characters get into their relationship very early on (so they can bonk for the rest of the book) so that was just one thing I wasn't really feeling much, you know we were just going so f*cking fast LOL but that's my personal preference.
This is a good book for any adult BL fan who might want to read something with light plot and lots of squishing 😅
Annotations (in order of appearance) Blue - cute moments Pink - pretty panels Red - pages before and after rape scene Green - aspects I like Purple - pages before and after sex scenes
I'm a huge fan of traps and the idol aspect was a great idea. I just really wish the first intimate scene wasn't so rapey. It's ok to like cnc, but if that's the case it should have been discussed beforehand. This story would have been 10x more enjoyable if they were college students instead of highschool but sadly I know the majority of stories will remain set in highschool regardless. The side characters were useless as Hell and had no point being in the story. I loved the additional story at the end!
Obviously, I do not condone the actions in this manga.
With that it mind, I understand how some (a lot) manga authors are toward taboo subjects, so I won’t throw this book away and tell people to not read it. It was a fun and dirty read that fits into a unique category. If you like crossdressing otaku’s that are “forceful,” this is for you. However, “forceful” means boarding on the line between rapist and “extremely-horny-towards-idols.”
Will I read other mangas like this? I won’t search for them, but I won’t not read them....
Also, I was wondering why this was plastic wrapped at the store... now I know! (๑ó⌓ò๑)
I rarely read summaries when I am book shopping. I do judge books by their covers.
what the hell? this book is nasty and i don't see anyone talking about it. i was so excited to buy this book, and the cover and art looks adorable, but as soon as i open it up the main character starts talking about how he's 16 and in highschool. fine, but its an 18+ book where he's constantly drawn having sex/naked. yes, i was expecting that kind of book, but NOT with underage characters. the plot of it also seems to be that he rapes him and then constantly crosses his boundaries. i seriously hate this book, don't buy it. i wish i didn't even own it after opening it up.
Let me just say first, this is for mature readers and there is sexual content in here so if you're not interested in that, then do not read this. Otherwise, I thought this story was fun and interesting especially when it came to the idol culture in Japan. My only issue I had was with the format putting a short story that has nothing to do with the title manga in there was very annoying plus there was too much sexual content presented in my personal opinion. Because of these points, I have to give this a 3.5 out of 5 stars
This was probably one of the funniest mangas that I’ve read that has come out of Kuma printing company. It’s exactly as expected a high school student who is in Disney and dancing considered as an Otaku in the two that he’s interested in secretly an Otaku as well. I love that, although their relationship started in unexpected ways, they worked together, and really didn’t have a downside to their relationship. I also love the artwork and the way that the story is told. It’s a great and easy read for one shot and I’m content with how it ended.
Still not really sure what the bloody hell I just read. My mistake was perhaps not looking into this Manga before picking it up as it had adult content in which I wasnt expecting. The Relationship was very wierd at the start but did improve as story went on. Art is very pretty, overall it was an entertaining read.
Not typically what I'd go for when looking for a new manga to read, but I enjoyed the character development as the MCs relationship progressed. Typical tropes still apply, but it was a good amount of sweet and spicy. Solid 3.5 stars!
Definitely a fun cute read. It is a RAUNCHY title, hell, it's published by a Hentai company, so I shouldn't be surprised. It was a lot funnier than I was expecting. I would recommend it if you like very dirty high school love stories.
Wooo, this was a wild ride. I love switching stereotypes and this manga, besides being STEAMY AS HELL, did just that. Thanks to Dynamic Dylan for **turning me on** to this manga. lololol
The cover is definitely deceiving I wasn't expecting the contents from what the cover gave. I didn't even realize it was bl until recently when I noticed that it said seme pointing at the "girl" on the front. This was kind of cute, kind of funny, very silly. I liked reading it. I just like Kuma publishing in general so I wanted to pick up something else from them. Their books are so cute!
Okay so i’m really trying to be nice about this book but I can’t. The aesthetic is so cute, I love the cover and the characters are adorable. The story just doesn’t really make sense and honestly it’s not very good… Also unconsensual sex is a HUGE no for me!!!
