You only turn thirty once, and Ruby Diaz gets a once-in-a-lifetime birthday present when her friends drag her to a secret club opening. Wonderland After Dark is off the beaten path, and serves cocktails that whisk those who drink them away to magical realms.
Four hotter-than-hell lion shifters greet Ruby when she arrives in Oz, a place so familiar it almost feels like home. Discovering she has the abilities of a witch comes second only to finding out she’s mated to the lions. Getting back to reality will hit hard, but does she really ever have to leave?
Ruby’s Pride is a high heat reverse harem novel that can be read as a standalone. One click your copy today and open the door to Oz. Your pride awaits...
Ruby's Pride is the first book in the Wonderland After Dark series, and whilst this one focuses on the land of Oz and Ruby, don't worry, Alice is around too!
Ruby has worked her backside off for years but is still not closer to getting the promotion she wants. She has major issues with men, which come out as the book progresses. Warner, Ax, Corwin, and Ransom are the four lions who are able to shift into humans who find her when she first appears in Oz. She has lots to do, and little inclination to stay, when she first gets there. But things are about to change for Ruby...
This was a great story, with plenty of sexy times and a good storyline. I can't wait to hear about the Crystal and Pearl, and what they go through. Ruby does change as the story moves on, but the reasoning behind her feelings is made clear. Yes, she acts like a brat at times, but she owns it. I also hope Ruby shows up in the other books, as I would love to hear how she's getting on.
A great beginning to the world in which this is set, and I have no hesitation in recommending it. I can't wait to continue with the series.

Holy WOW! I binged this first book in a new Wonderland series.
This book focused on Ruby and the land of OZ. Ruby is not a nice person. She has been stepped on for as long as she can remember.
When a magical drink sends her to OZ she is met by not 1 but 4 lion shifters. Then things heat up! No spoilers here but let me just say that if you like the fast burn of an RH & sexy shifters then this book is for you!
Ruby is a fiery little witch who gets sucked into the land of Oz after going to a club. She has to defeat a great evil who has taken over and is hellbent on riding the place of magic. While there she meets four sexy as sin shifters who are the grandsons of someone famous. Corwin, Ransom, Ax and Warner risk it all to keep the sexy witch safe and help her defeat the great evil plaguing their world. We get a glimpse of a couple other worlds, but this is a stand-alone HEA with some serious heat. I volunteered to read this book.
I love the wizard of Oz so I was excited about this. It didn't quite live up to my hopes but it was alright. The plot felt rushed and it fully fleshed out. My biggest complaint was Ruby. She is a witch with a b. She even admits it at points but doesn't seem to care about changing it. I don't think I'll read the rest of the books in the series. I liked her friends a lot better than her so I would probably enjoy their stories more, but I just don't care for this author's writing style all that much.
What a great twist on the Wizard of Oz story!! I really enjoyed the story overall; however, it did take me a little while to warm up to Ruby (the female main character). I found that as the story progressed and her past was revealed, she grew on me. I took a star off because there was a lot of build up to Ruby having to conquer the Darkness and her not knowing what it is or how to do it, but then she suddenly does it in like a paragraph and kind of changes her mind about everything. I still enjoyed it, though. The steamy scenes were super hot and the guys were (mostly) easy to love. I'd recommend this book to those who like fairy tale/classics retellings and I'm looking forward to the next book.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
It felt rushed and forced. There wasn't much time spent on getting to know the other characters, there wasn't much time spent in developing relationships, and all of the steamy scenes had almost zero build up. I really wanted to like this but it just left me feeling disappointed.
I found this book to be boring. The FMC has no real struggle - her magic responded to her every desire and her instincts were right on for everything. I found myself skimming the book just to finish. Sexy times were repetitive, and the Hs didn't feel fleshed out as characters.
This is soo cool and imaginative!!! You have to read this to see what a fabulous story and how all the different characters play really exciting parts. Now I want the other two stories that would make up a great story please.
