Renae tends to fall...a lot. But what she doesn't expect is to fall so hard for her best friend's big brother when he returns to Quinn Valley. She'd never dared to tell him she had a crush on him all those years ago, but maybe now it's time to take a risk. What could she have to lose?
Chad Duncan has finally returned home after serving in Afghanistan, ready to start his business training horses. It's been his dream for as long as he can remember. But when he runs into Renae Quinn....literally knocking her to the ground, his world gets sent into a tailspin. She's not the girl he remembers who always sat around daydreaming with her head in the clouds. Instead, he sees a woman who he somehow just knows he's ready to spend his life with.
Now he just needs to figure out how to sweep her off her feet without her getting injured any more than she already is.
To label Renae Quinn as a klutz might seem harsh, but the reality is that she is a walking advertisement for the nearest Urgent Care office. She freely admits that she’s prone to accidents, to falls, and to those odd circumstances that lead to pain that few other people seem to experience. For example, she ran smack into the solid chest of the man who would love her forever during a whiteout snowstorm – straight into Chad Duncan’s chest, bounced off landing on the ground on her now very sore butt. You have to admit, that is unique if a rather painful way to begin the adventure of falling in love.
I adored Renae, not only for her love of life, being able to laugh at herself but because I have a friend who is just as accident-prone as Renae is – although she didn’t meet her husband in such a unique fashion. So I completely get that there are people out there who are so busy living and loving life that they don’t notice silly, mundane things like an icy sidewalk. Chad is a man who knows what he feels quickly but isn’t afraid to bide his time and work toward the final goal of Renae as his wife. I loved their romance so much. It’s realistic, funny, sweet and full of family shenanigans that are as natural as wintertime snow in Quinn Valley. There is a slight misunderstanding but nothing that truly takes away from this couple’s feelings for each other. If you love a good romance that is completely believable with characters you’ll fall in love with then DARING DREAMER should be on your need to read list.
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
I have read seven out of the nine books in the Quinn Valley Ranch Series. And a lot of other "ranch" series stories. This one is unique. It was funny from the beginning to the end. Her ability to laugh at herself and his ability of accept her for what she is is amazing. I've thought about her accidents, and I don't think she is accident prone. I honestly think she is so positive and outgoing and so in love with life that she doesn't use the same precautions most people put in place. Like salt for melting ice from the driveway to the door. And she suffers for it. I have loved every book in the series and but this one stands out. I just laughed so hard at their banter back and forth. Her openness and lack of self-control I think are a clue to the accident prone image. She just doesn't hold back. She is who she is and anyone who doesn't like it had better step out of the way because she will run right over the top of them. I think she is adorable and I bet a lot of people would like to say what they think instead of over thinking everything. Good Work.
This book had all the feels. The quirkiness of the Quinn family made for many comical moments, while the seriousness of those in service to our country had me in tears with the poignancy of family members away during the holidays. Renae’s klutziness and Chad’s caring and concern made for a heartwarming story. The proposal and announcements to family made for wonderful reading. Fabulous story in a wonderful series.
When I read this book it was as if someone (Kirsten) had talked to my family. Let's just say it nade me laugh & cry, sometimes at the same time. The cry part was me being me & things my family thought of my natual abilities. Thank you Kirsten Osborne to a book my mom would have loved, just because i have a few similarities to Renae.
Kirsten Osbourne has a way of bringing characters to life. You feel what her characters are feeling from ecstatic to despair. This book is another wonderful adventure watching how Renae Quinn and Chad Duncan fall in love! Thank you for being such an amazing author!
Renea is a character. She is fun and inert at the same time. Chad is a good old boy who happens to be the big brother of Renae's best friend, Sam. And of course, she has had a crush on him since Jr. High. He is home from the service to stay and she has her sights set on him!
Cute and hilarious story about a woman who is known by the nickname Grace as she has a habit of tripping and falling all the time. She literally bumps into and falls down after running into her teenage crush. He is back into town after he return to the States after he returns from overseas. A quick and fast romance develops.
Very fast read, no set backs, no surprises, all just go with the flow throughout the book. Chad n Renae have known each other for years, meet up again after he returns home from serving our country. Jokes about marriage proposal in different settings, life goes on everyday, he asks again, just as she wanted, arrangements made fast.
When her best friend's brother returns to Quinn Valley, Renae learns her childhood crush is so much more. As they discover truth of their feelings they begin to realize their love is forever.
Quinn Valley is the perfect place for love and romance. The family believes in each other and living life to the fullest possibility.
And Chad’s sister Sam. Here is the story, Renae and Sam have been friends since grade school. Plus Sam Had the cutest big brother and Renae had a crush on him starting in grade school. Well really for a long long time. The he went and joined the army. The rest you’ll have to read for yourself. You won’t want to miss it.
Renae was the klutz of the family. She when she gets knocked down by Chad nothing unusual in itself but he is the not she had a crush on. Now a man home from the army she's keeping him. Great story, love the characters.
Chad- back from army and Renea -a foot zoner and clumsy. I enjoyed reading this captivating story of clumsiness whether it's in proposals or just walking and love. Their story has a sweetly humorous and complete HEA .
I just love the way Chad loved Renae and toke such good care of her and knowing she is clumsy made it that much better. He loved her for who she is which i think is true love.
This was a sweet story about a girl who was forever falling. She was a klutz named Renea Quinn. Her best friend was Sam, and her brother was Chad, Renae he hand a crush on him even in Junior high school. Chad came home from the Army and Renae was so happy to see him. This story is about them getting to know each other and Renae making her dreams come true.
Renae comes across as quirky, clumsy, self-focused develops a relationship with ex-soldier now trainer who is protective of Renae due to her clumsiness that he finds endearing.
This is such a fun story. It has a very clumsy girl and a can-do-it-all gorgeous guy. The author did a fantastic job. It is one of the most entertaining I have read recently.
So much to love! Renae literally “fell” in love with Chad. He was quite willing to catch her. I loved their sweet relationship where they teased and joked. I really enjoyed the way they talked. Neither character set back and wondered. They let their feelings be known and talked about their wants and needs. I highly recommend this book and this series and this author.
