Dispatches from Hell: A Vegan's Guide to Love, Sex, Relationships, and Other Suicidal Tendencies

Rate this book
Go to any bookstore, and you'll find reams of hackneyed, dumb, touchy-feely self help books for singles. Sadly, no one has written a hackneyed, dumb, touchy-feely self-help book for vegans yet. Don't you think it's about time? Dispatches From Hell is the answer to your prayers. Finally, you have in your hands a book that will answer all the usual questions about love, relationships, dating, and sex, but with an eye towards veganism and how it relates to these already complex topics. Is your partner non-vegan? Don't really know about the whole 'dating' thing? Need some advice on how to deal with relatives and inlaws, what constitutes a healthy relationship, or just what forms of birth control are cruelty free? In this book, you'll find answers to common questions like these and more, such as: * Should I date non-vegans? * Where can I buy vegan bondage gear? * Are blowjobs vegan? ...as well as pages of questionably helpful tips and ideas interspersed in separate text boxes throughout. Dispatches From Hell will give you the ropes, show you the ropes, and teach you how not to hang yourself with the ropes, when it comes to being a vegan navigating the treacherous waters of all things related to relationships.

In retrospect, I can't believe I read this gramatically troublesome, self-important drivel. It was a quick read, but still an entire book of male-centric (the author assumes the reader to be male), egotistical relationship advice from someone who doesn't seem to have gotten around too much. But it struck a chord in me, I found at least a little wisdom in his words. And I did take the time to read it, which must mean something.

one of the funniest books I've ever read. I laughed out loud on almost every other page. The Vulgar Vegan never disappoints.

Not that I ever fall in love, have sex, or get into a relationship, but in those rare occasions, I think this book would help. Anyway, it's got a funny cover. So, like, yeah.
