This was a cute way to learn about Buenos Aires! It was a fun fictional story in Spanish that incorporated real-life stuff to do, places to go, culture, common phrases, food, drinks, etc. I actually learned a lot and am even more excited to go now :)

This is a very good book if you are studying Spanish! The story is catchy, there are words and expressions in bold, so you can learn them in the glossary of the book, and you can also learn things about Buenos Aires! Highly recommended!

I read the story in one sitting. Very entertaining.

Spanish learners will love the story, and it has aids at the end to be able to understand it better, in case you don't understand through content as the author suggests in the introduction.

The glossary at the end is very clear and helpful and I love that you can also learn things about Buenos Aires.

Can't wait for the next one!

Very difficult Spanish - not a B2 level I think.
Good story, some Argentinian Spanish and you learn some swear words!

I really enjoyed this short story. It was not only a fun read but the level was pitched perfectly for those who have an intermediate level of Spanish. I'll be looking out for more from this author.

While I enjoyed it this is written at the B2 level (advanced intermediate) and in Argentenian Spanish, so bit challenging for my B1 Spanish. I was ab;e to follow it but I think there were some key points that I didn't grasp.
Format: Short chapters followed byte very brief summaries written first in simpler Spanish and a second in English.

There are also audio links that I haven't listened to yet.

Leaving this one in my to read section for a revisit.

secret consequences

An interesting little story with idioms sprinkled throughout. I read this to practice my Spanish. There were some sections I struggled with but I always got the gist of the content without a dictionary. I did use a dictionary to fill in the details.

Me gusta este libro

I am an adult learner of Spanish from English. I read Un café en Buenos Aires the first time in 2018 and I read again in December 2020. Happyly my comprehension is better now, I have read other books in between! I find It a gripping story that has really helped my language development and a lot of new vocab.
