Every Word takes you on a journey of understanding the narrative of God’s redemptive story in the Bible. Reading the Bible with the “astronaut’s view” helps you to see the entire story of God’s love, His plan to rescue humanity, and restore all things through Jesus.

Every Word provides guidance, direction, and details, which helped me understand the history, poetry, and prophecies of the Bible. Seeing the big picture gives new richness and deeper meaning to stories I have read before, and helped me clearly see the thread of God’s unchanging love throughout the Old and New Testament.

Excited to revisit this guide in the future, expectant of what God will reveal to me through His Word.

A wonderful guide that provides helpful context to let the Bible speak for itself. The 90-day reading plan was my partner in reading the entire Bible for the first time; with momentum, new eyes, and a new love.

The Bible has changed my life and this book is the most helpful resource to guide you through the greater narrative of the Bible and its redemption story. It also leaves room to let the Bible do its work as the living and active word of God!

Perhaps the most significant Bible reading I've ever done. This book guides you through reading the Bible quickly, yes, but in a way that opens your eyes to the messages I've missed while reading a chapter a day for a decade. Every Word has made me fall in love with the Bible again. I am no longer content to talk about the Bible as something I read once...I want to know the text well. It makes more sense to me than it used to and I am different as a result--empowered to read.

Reading the Bible in 90 days is many good things (revealing, substantive, thrilling, encouraging), but most importantly, it connects various stories we’ve heard disparately across time into one, complete narrative, with a beginning, climax, and a never-ending “end”! It really is God’s story to us, and reading at this pace pulls you into the shoes of His people — their rebellions, hopes, sins, trials, strivings, rest and rejoicings — and how, by faith, they come to believe and celebrate that “Salvation and glory and power belong to our God!”

BUT it is a challenging road to walk without helpful guardrails providing the modern day reader with appropriate context for these ancient texts. Every Word’s introduction and overview to each book is concise, knowledgeable, and inviting. It contains quick references (i.e. charts of good and bad kings in northern vs. southern kingdoms), traceable timelines (i.e. now entering the fall of Jerusalem), and informed backgrounds on each of the books’ authors that gives reason behind their message, style (poetry? prophecy? historical narrative?) and motivation for writing to the original reader.

I am deeply grateful for the way this plan has helped to refresh and re-awaken my desire to “feast” on God’s word. Reading in bite-sized chunks at a slower speed will be all the richer now that I can point to where events fit in the overall Biblical arc, because in reading, I have seen His faithfulness span generations, and now look forward to His sustaining my faith into eternity.

A wonderful resource that guides you through reading every word of the Bible, in 90 days. I loved the “Don’t Miss” bullet points and the notes that explained harder topics and important connections (i.e, Old Testament prophecy, “why is the Law is so cruel?”, How we got the Bible, etc.). The book’s main intention is for all readers to see the story of the Bible in its entirety and that Christ is the centerpiece throughout. From Genesis to Revelation, it’s all about Jesus! The experience itself is transforming in how you approach the Word of God and Every Word adds wonderful knowledge, insight, and encouragement to the journey.

I loved this Bible reading program. It was challenging, but it was so helpful to get a quick overview of the entire Bible. I would also recommend the YouVersion Bible reading plan. It includes bullet points from this book as well as relevant videos from the Bible Project. Was a great complement to this book.

Wow. 90 days. This has been a journey which has brought me so much joy. I started this 90 journey in April with my mother when the world around us seemed so uncertain. I found comfort in the fact that this world will always be uncertain until the day that Jesus comes back to restores all. I spent the past 3 months reading stories about how when the people of God listened and obeyed His words, the Lord blessed them but when they didn't, He corrected them. Through this journey, I have found the only way to feel certain in the uncertainty is to turn to the Lord. I cannot wait to continue to read the Bible (maybe slower this time) and learn something new.

Lord, I pray you never stop revealing yourself to me through Your words.

This is an incredible guide to the greatest book ever written.
Year long Bible studies or deep dives into certain books are great and have their place.
This is like drinking through a fire hose…from Genesis to Revelation in 90 days!

Reading the Bible this quickly and intensely holds so much value.
-The commitment of 90 days feels more attainable versus a year and if you get off track you can easily get back on track.
-The overall themes of the Bible become more clear.
-You can better understand the timeline of who came before who and how long or how quickly one thing from another occurred.
-If you pray in earnest the Holy Spirit will speak to you.

The Bible is God’s story many believe in Him even Satan and demons. Few obey God, daily surrender and seek to know Him.
Accept the challenge to be the few!

Notes
This is a guide to reading the Bible not a devotional.
This book is great but you also can access parts of this guide on the Youversion app for ease. The app version is great because it also includes videos from The Bible Project to go along with it.
Many will be intimidated by the time commitment but I would highly encourage you to set aside the time each day to read or listen.
Read this alone, with a group or your spouse!
I like to do this at the end of the year the last 90 days but some like to start the year with this.
Any time is a good time!

While I read my Bible every day, using this guide to read the Bible through in 90 days provided a fresh perspective. It groups readings together so that when you are reading about King David in 2 Samuel, you also eead the Psalms written by David. Solomon's writings coincide with reading about him in 1Kings. You read the various prophets alongside their mention in Kings. In the New Testament, Paul's writings are grouped with the action in Acts and John's writing come at the end.

If you’ve ever lamented that you haven’t read the Bible in its entirety, this is a great resource. You will take in giant gulps of the Bible (reading about an hour each day) in a chronological manner but in doing so I think it opens up connections that may be easy to miss when you read just one small passage at a time.

A great resource for reading the Bible in 90 days. Love the concise overview which allowed me to take in large volumes in a short amount of time. I feel it helped me form a grand narrative of Scripture and desire to know God more. I’ve already started this a second time.

This book was so helpful and the plan is transformative. I will be doing the 90 day plan again for sure! The book does little pageish snippets about each book of the bible, giving you context and some themes to look for as you read. I ended up reading between 20 minutes to an hour every day, then playing a lot of catch up on Sundays. Reading for big-picture stuff took pressure off from finding something monumental and important and spirit-driven every time I read, which helped me thirst for the Word more. Passages gained different significance when the rest of the bible was so freshly on my mind. Highly recommend!

This means I read every word in the Bible NIV. A great feat. Would 10/10 recommend. Will do it again. It’s a great read not just the devotional but the Word of God itself.

Super helpful book to read alongside the 90 day reading plan for the Bible. While I didn’t read it in 90 days this year, I have in the past without the book. Definitely recommend having this for summaries, context and encouragement for what to pay attention to as you read and digest gods word. 10/10

It’s a great book (my ratings are based on “I couldn’t put it down” “I learned a million things” or “you have to read this in your lifetime”) I know not everyone rates the same but just want to be clear why I rated it 4/5

LOVE the 90 day reading plan itself though
