SUMMER ROMANCE FOR NERDS
Narumi and Hirotaka’s relationship is going swimmingly, so now the two have a new problem: the rumor mill. The couple is going to have to rely on Hirotaka’s reputation as an undateable gamer to quash the gossip, because it’s shaping up to be a busy summer. There’s a double date with Hanako and Taro at a festival, Narumi’s first try at cosplaying, and even that otaku classic: a hot springs episode. Meanwhile, when Naoya’s incredible misunderstanding about his new friend Ko comes to a head, will their friendship survive?
Okay, we're back on track. No filler. Just fun and funny and feelings. I'm here for it.
Also, there is a ✨MOMENT ✨with Taro/Hanako that had me squeal/screaming. I already knew because of the cover art for later volumes but it did't lesson the actual moment at ALL. I'm well and truly obsessed with them.
Impulsively giving this volume the full five stars for that one moment that broke me (in the best way). Fully subjective, of course, but that’s always the case when I review anything.
So the first half is really focused on Hanako and Taro. They're having a bit of relationship issues. Hanako is deciding if she still feels the same spark she did at the start with Taro. However, Taro is kind of a clueless idiot at times and things get messy when she loses the neckless he gave her. Luckily this storyline ends on a super happy note.
The relationship with Nifuji and Momose seems a bit static and not sure if we're going to go much further.
Kou and Naoya's relationship is FUCKING ADORABLE and I need more of that right now.
Since this is a comedy manga, things kind of tootle along without much event or development, and that's just fine. There is one life change coming up, though: the wedding of Kabakura and Koyanagi, the unhealthiest pair in the series. Congrats? I'd noticed that they had been far mellower with each other for a little while, and it turns out that Kabakura wanted to not say things that would make Koyanagi cry in the days before he proposed to her. Not being an asshole to your partner is something to be reserved only for special occasions? All right. :|
Naoya and Ko are adorable, and Hirotaka and Narumi are quite cute together too. Neither pair has crossed the threshold between hanging out and physical intimacy, and I rather like that. It's cool that they're getting along as friends before getting it on.

Yay! The side couples stepped up to make this a much better volume than the previous one. A little bit of drama shakes things up and shakes off the feeling of being stuck in a status quo like Garfield and his lasagna.
i was considering bringing volume 4 and 5 with me for the train ride but then i was like “nah there’s no way i’ll finish this one in a single hour-long train ride”
i was so, so wrong.
the angst?? the drama?? IMPECCABLE. yeah sure, there was less of hirotaka/narumi, but the amount of stuff that went down with kabakura/hanako and naoya/ko?? INSANE.
and then ending the volume with that ANGST between naoya and ko?? EVIL.
i cannot wait to get home and read the next one ASAP.
This series just keeps getting better I have so much fun reading it! I love all the characters and all the couples but my fave has to be Hirotaka and Narumi they are just so adorable!!!
Volume 8 The ending of this one was just wow.... i mean a proposal like this out of the blue was just 😍 I was getting a little worried right along Koyanagi but at the end I was so happy!!!
4.5 - this was just so cute - I loved this volume so much a lot of things happening, both the volumes bound up in this volume end on such stunning moments I can't wait to read more. This is my favorite in the series so far!
This really just feels so real. Like so much slice of life romance stuff has melodrama in it. Which is fun and fine. This just feels so real. This is completely how geeks interact. It's lovely

Review: I love this series it's so fluffy and fun . Hanako is sad she can't find her necklace Taro gave her when they were in high school so he gives her his but that makes her upset and then he proposes ahhh so cute . I love nayoa and ko friendship. And Narumi and Hirotaka’s are still sweet I love all these characters can't wait to read the next volume.

NO THEY GET MARRIED They are very unmached to themselves. I hope they break up in the end please. This volume changed my point of view on this manga. My favourite couple at begining become the worst. In the same volume my least favourite couple become very great. The moment when he wanted to change kun to chan warmed my heart so much! Just like „To be seen” moment was like good builded before and his reclessnes in positive way was used perfect! I opened volume 8 and saw idea of changing all genders to every couple and I can’t forget about it.
I’m beyond happy that one pair got engaged and another, younger pair, might be coming to a realization about their feelings for each other. I also love that while a 3rd pair stay in a bit of a constant, it’s not shown as a bad thing; they’re just incredibly comfortable with each other and don’t necessarily need to take the next step in their relationship yet. I’m extremely excited for the next volume (or next 2 volumes technically), because major relationship steps are happening!
