( Determination, haircare products and a strut like I own the place will do the rest.) These boys are in for a treat. Maybe. Possibly. What did I just get myself into? The Casanova Club – Only one can win her heart.Note to the This is a completed 14 book sexy romantic comedy series. You'll be following the journey of Piper, one funny, down-to-earth young woman, and her willingness to give up everything to save her family. The books are standalone in nature, but do have references to the books before as Piper will spend a month with each member of the 2019 Casanova Club. Enjoy. I did.
Ali Parker is a full-time contemporary and new adult romance writer with more than a hundred and twenty books behind her. She loves coffee, watching a great movie, and hanging out with her hubs. By hanging out, she means making out. The man is hot. Hello. She’s a creative at heart and loves coming up with more ideas than any one person should be allowed to access. She lives in Tennessee with her hubs, teenage son, two grown daughters, and two love-of-her-life grandbabies! Telling a good story that revives hope, reminds us of love, and gives a vacation from life is all she’s up to.
The Casanova Club is made of of twelve billionaires who have chosen one woman among many to date. Piper is real and intelligent and sexy and she is their choice.
I really liked how this storyline was set up. Unfortunately, this series ((14 books to start) is in dire need of continuity editing. One of the male characters in this book has a daughter but in his book the daughter has just disappeared. The h is apparently 21 and a waitress in her parent's restaurant and talk about doing shots with customers a long time ago....so usually, places like that get shut down quickly.
Overall, if you can get past all the continuity errors and the very repetitive descriptions of sex, the series is just OK. For me the errors distracted too much from the story to enjoy the series.
I haven't read a bad book from this author yet and this book is no exception! The great plot and character development kept me so engaged throughout the entire book that I had a very hard time putting this book down until the very last page was turned!
"I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book."
I am a bit excited to go through this journey and seeing that every guy has their own book (month), it’ll be interesting the way Ali sets it up. The concept is very intriguing... a spin on the bachelor but like 10x more intense.
It would have made her options a bit less creepy and more appropriate if she wasn’t 21... like how Aaron is 36; that’s two completely different worlds, there’s just no way.
First Impressions: 1. Joshua: sweet, looking for something serious, a romantic? 2. Easton: full of himself and doesn’t seem to be looking for anything deep under the surface 3. Wyatt: a bit judgmental(?) when it comes to experiencing areas outside of his familiarity but extremely generous (and complete opposite of city boys) 4. Miles: similar to Wyatt without the country, no patience and not a massive fan of Easton 5. Jeremiah: the first one to have a bit of substance with his daughter and his deceased wife (?), he also doesn’t seem to believe in the process or have the patience to really make connections beyond it 6. Aaron: I had a feeling it wasn’t because it is in italics but I had a slight inkling that the beginning of his chapter was his life... of course he was an author. He’s so sweet, shy and insecure. I know this is going to be so difficult to deal with throughout this series but when Aaron says “...I knew there wasn’t a chance that I would actually be a contender.” it breaks my heart and I’m gonna want Piper to just pick all of them (LOL) 7. Cooper: NOT happy about Cooper and him just wasting time; at this point, I hope he doesn’t win because he wants to get to the end even if he has to play games and that’s just such a waste of time for everyone BUT I have a feeling he’s gonna be the one that changes the most after this experience. 8. Levi: He seems pretty genuine but doesn’t give off that vibe of wanting to have a serious long-term relationship but wanting more of a fling.
I really enjoy how the time is transitioning through the guys’ eyes; so the first part of the “final” round where the girls come to the cocktail hour starts with Levi and continues through Asher’s chapter. It helps give the reader different perspectives on the guys’ experience but also learning about the girls in unique ways.
9. Asher: Seems extremely sweet and of course a gentleman, but the fact that his family would disapprove of the process and probably the girl, how would it even work? 10. Christian: his backstory is going to be the most exciting thing about him as he seems a bit boring and laidback 11. Max: his priorities are his family and he seems to follow his own rules but not in an asshole kind of way Also, I WAS WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO SEE PIPER OUTSIDE OF THE PROCESS. 12. Camden: sweet, skeptical but willing to try and by the looks of it, will put the effort in when he wants something.
Ali does a great job of individualizing each man so when they’re all in a room together, you don’t get confused.
Just wish there was a way to see the other contestants faces when they found out Piper won because honestly F them.
Okay readers, get ready to begin the ride that this set of books is going to give us. Piper is a student that wants to go into Pediatrics but will that dream come true? She’s not quite sure lately. She is not only going to school and getting good grades, she is helping out at her parent’s failing restaurant, tutoring, working in the school cafeteria, works in the school library and knits scarfs among anything else that will help her make a dollar or two. Yes, she does it all but still it’s not enough to get through financially. When her friend tells her about the Casanova Club that her boss runs, she is intrigued. This is a private club of 12 very wealthy men who vote to date the same woman for 1 year, she gets one man for each month and then decides if she want to marry one or take 1 million dollars and run. Sound good??? Is it too good to be true? When her name is put in for this, she is up agains 10 other women and vying for these men to notice her. These women don’t think she’ll make it but guess what, she does and that’s where the next story will continue. 10 out of 12 of these men picked Piper as the woman they wanted so she will start in Canada come January 1. I thought this was a well written book and thoroughly enjoyed the story and I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Enjoy.
Oh boy have we got a treat in store for us with this brand new series by the amazing best selling author, Ali Parker. The premise is that we have these billionaire bachelors who are wanting a wife [although I have my doubts about two of them] and one woman is chosen to spend a year getting to know each one of them by spending a month with each in turn. Piper is the 'lucky' woman that is chosen amongst the hundreds who apply. In this book we are introduced to the different men and there are two that just repulse me and when you read it I think you will easily guess whom I mean! Of the others there are some fascinating characters some who seem to be very lovable choices and others who seem interesting and others who I'm not sure what to expect of them at all. Altogether I think the fact that the majority of them chose her against all the other females who applied [and when you read it you will find out more about why she did apply as I really like her character and it seems out of her comfort zone and personality trait. I am not a fan of series but Ali has me hooked already and I'm now really looking forward with anticipation for books 2 and all the rest. I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED
Book 1: Piper. 4 stars An easy flowing mildly steamy introduction to the hectic life of Med school hopeful college student Piper James, her struggle to afford college and save the family restaurant Piper’s Paradise, how she becomes the 2019 Casanova Club Girl as well as a good glimpse into the personality of each of the Casanova Club bachelors and their sponsor the newlywed New Yorker Jackson Lee.
Book 2: Joshua 5 stars Sweet and steamy with pictures descriptions,a travelog of 1800's Quebec and modern tourist points, and a poignant ending. January finds Piper away from her family for the first time and in Canada with a strong attraction to artist Joshua Curtis.
Book 3: Easton 4 stars A highly steamy reformation of an alpha male romance with a poignant ending. Both Piper and egocentric, crass Miami Dolphins quarterback Easton start out February biased against each other and with Piper missing Joshua but, a day out on the ocean changes both their opinions. I enjoyed the softening of Easton's personality but not the fact that Piper could jump from Joshua's bed into Eston's while still professing feelings for Joshua.
Wow! Wow! Wow! What an absolutely fabulous book. I can’t wait to see how each man tries to convince Piper he is “the one”. Piper is a struggling student who gets her best friend to get her into the Casanova club to possibly be picked as the one woman to spend a month with each of 12 men for a solid year for a chance to win $1 million. Which men are in it for fun and which men are in it to find real love? She wants the money to help her parents, help her brother, help friends, travel, finish her schooling so she can become a pediatrician. She does everything for everyone else and hardly ever thinks about herself. But what if she falls in love, too?
What an awesome book. You will not be able to put it down. Great storytelling. Great writing. Great personalities for all of the men, to the point you can’t figure out which one you like the best either. I hope the next book comes out soon. This is one that you want to just keep reading after the last page and go to the next book immediately. Great writing.
Piper is a hard working girl trying to help her family keep afloat a struggling business. 12 billionaires wanting to settle down and find love set up a dating club and the process is brutal. One girl is to spend a month with each of them. If she doesn't find love she will get $1 million at the end of the year. Piper struggles to even get in the selection process because she's not on their radar.
This is the first book in a series and is establishing the many characters. You need a little patience with this one as pipers story is the strongest. Each of the billionaires are introduced but I found that a little distracting from pipers story as you forget the billionaires from the start of the book.
It's well written with good characters and dialogue.I felt sorry for pipers situation, the pressure she feels and her family adding to that pressure. They are in denial and won't face the truth nor understand what piper is doing just to keep their dream afloat. Worth a look.
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the first book in the Casanova Club series. This book introduces Piper, a young college student who works at her parent's failing restaurant. When Piper's roommate tells her about the Casanova Club, Piper wants to take part. The Club features 12 billionaire bachelors who will each have a month to date a lucky woman. If at the end of the year, the woman can pick one of them to marry or she will get one million dollars. Piper wants the money to help her parents and pay for school. Her roommate arranges for her to be one of the women applying to be the one woman they date, but the men vote on who the final woman will be. When Piper meets the men, they all think she is the one and she will spend the next year travelling with each man. This is an interesting idea for a series and i really enjoyed the first book. i look forward to reading more about each man and their adventures with Piper. Good one.
The Casanova Club is an exclusive club where ultra-rich men go to hopefully meet the love of their life. The only catch is that they’re competing with eleven other men for the same woman. No pressure – right?
In this first installment we meet all of the players and last year’s “winner”. Piper has been running on a treadmill trying to keep her family’s restaurant above water while also trying to get an education and pay her own bills. When her best friend tells her about the club she wants in. If the woman decides she doesn’t want to marry any of the club members she walks away with a million dollars. Enough to solve all of her problems. If, and it’s a big if, she’s chosen as this year’s “prize.”
I’m looking forward to the rest of the series, seeing Piper interact with each of the men and their different personalities and romance techniques. Stay tuned.
ONE AMAZING READ!!! OMG! Wow! I'll get it out eventually. Maybe. This is one exciting, heart pounding, pulse racing, smooth flowing, page turning delight that's as riveting as it is captivating. A whirlwind of emotions and events that really pulls those heartstrings. The characters are complex and believable with such depth and individuality its easy to relate. The scenes are so graphically detailed and descriptive it's easy to picture each scenario as they play off one another in perfect balance. All the drama, uncertainty, fear, strength and determination brings everything together front and center. You can't help but fall in love with this story. The twists and turns, along unexpected circumstances make for one incredible experience. Ali did an amazing job bringing this read to life. Incredible job Ali, thanks for sharing this little jewel with us.
Piper, a student struggling to make ends meet for both herself and her family, gets a crazy idea when her friend tells her about the Casanova Club contest. As the story progresses things with the family get hairy, the lies she tells weigh her down as much as the financial crisis her family is facing and getting in to the contest could solve or create problems for her. Book one of Ali Parker's The Casanova Club series gives the reader a great introduction to all the players involved and leaving the reader wanting more even knowing that there is a cliffhanger. I am looking forward to seeing where she takes them.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
I can tell, this book is going to test my patience over the course of this next year. I’m already halfway in love with Piper and the “game” hasn’t even begun yet. I’m not entirely sure what to make of all the contestants yet. There’s some of the guys I’m sure I’m going to adore. And there’s a few that I think are going to make me hate them before I can love them. I’m not even going to try to guess what the author has in store for us with this series, but I’m sure it’s going to be a wild ride. I can’t wait to see what comes next. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
Wow if this is the prelude to 2hat is to come with this series then we are all in for the ride of our lives. Twelve men are vying for the love and affection of one woman. Her name is Piper and she's had it rough. This will either make or break her by the end but from what I can see all 12 guys find her genuine and true natured. I am so looking forward to seeing how each month one of the guys gets to spend with her. I'm thinking it's going to be tough to choose. So I hope that the next book is here faster than fast. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy
Such a Novel idea, that makes for excellent reading. 12 very wealthy men and one female - you have Club Casanova an exclusive year long dating gig - has them looking for the one. Piper works her per verbally tale off, taking care of her parents restaurant, being a student, tutoring and working any other odd job she can get. She is given the chance to compete for the attention of 12 Men (Joshua, Easton, Wyatt, Miles, Jeremiah, Cooper, Asher, Aaron, Levi, Camden and Christian). Will she get the spot and can she really do this? I can not wait for the next books in the series to see what happens.
This is probably one of the best books I have ever read from Ali Parker, totally captivating. I was so engrossed in the story and plot when I turned the page to find I was at the end of the book, I found myself sad, I definitely didn't want this one to end. I am excited this will be part of a series but I can already say I will be impatiently waiting for each new release. I certainly recommend one-clicking as this one is worth the time to read, exciting, captivating, engaging, entertaining and of course well written. I am voluntarily leaving my voluntary opinion with this review.
I enjoyed the story but wasn't impressed with the writing.
There was a lot of telling so I had a hard time picturing what the characters, environment, etc. looked like. I also didn't have a strong emotional connection to any of the characters. (I was irritated on Piper's behalf for how she was treated by her parents, though at the same time, I was irritated with Piper because she was 21 and didn't need to ask her parents' permission to do things.)
I will be continuing with the series because the plot was enjoyable and I do want to learn more about each of the men and find out who Piper ends up with.
Piper was the first of 13 books in this new series and I am so excited for the next one! The Casanova Club is an interesting matchmaking club where 12 men fight for one woman, each taking a month to date her. Piper is such an unlikely match for 12 men with more money than they know what to do with. But that’s probably what makes her perfect for them. Her family is going to freak out when they find out she’s leaving them for a year. I can’t wait to read it...and her adventures in Montreal.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book and voluntarily provided this review.
A very well written story with great storyline and plot. I like the characters. They are well described and makes you curious to know them. A first book in the series of thirteen and it makes you want to have all in front of you so you just can continue reading through the all to see how it ends. But there is a catch here. The reader chooses how it ends. The readers have to vote for their favourite bachelor and choose who Piper has to marry. A series that reminds me of Calender girl but the twist with the voting makes it a lot different. I like that. Cannot wait to read this series.
This is the first in a 20 book series but you can read it as a standalone but you wont want to.. This book introduces you to The Casanova Club and all the members and what will happen. I have already read this series but when I did I had to wait a month for the next book to be released. They have all been written now so no waiting. I loved this series so much. Ali wrote each of the characters so well with their background stories so believable and with so much depth, I was cheering for each one. I'm enjoying rereading this again with new eyes on the story. Enjoy it.
The Casanova Club is a very different kind of book series I have ever read!! But it you like the show Bachelor or Bachelorette and I like both of them you will love this series!! Piper is the type of girl you want to get her happy end for. She works so hard for her family and wants to help everyone and wants to make something of herself. You just have to rut for her!! I would recommend this book series!!
If five is the highest star rating, this book is a ten!!!! I absolutely LOVED this book! Any female on this earth loves to read novels about billionaires because it triggers their "what if" dreams, but a dozen???? Let the imagination begin!!!! I usually delete books from my Kindle once it is read, but NOT this time!!!! It will be like a favorite movie, to be revisited countless times!!!! (I think I just broke the speed-reading record!!!)
Once again, we see Piper struggling with her emotions and trying not to fall for the man. Max gives her a run for her money although their first date did not go as well as expected. Will she be able to follow through on her promise to her parents and take the money instead of the man? Only time will tell, and she still has one more date to contend with! I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
When Piper hears that the reason is a way she can make 1 million dollars to change the lives of everyone she loves she does everything she can to get the chance. Only problem; she has to spend the next 12 months dating different guys for a month at at a time and not falling in love.
Variety is the spice of life.... and what a variety there is in this book. 12 men that are unique in their own way with the one goal to win the girl. Piper gets involved when she’s struggling to get by and her friend gets her a last minute spot at the Casanova Club. I cannot wait to see how this series progresses through all the men and their relationship with Piper.
"No Spoilers" What a great story line! Great characters and good writing! I just wish there weren't so many separate books because it's too expensive when there are 13 books all under 200 pages and with that many it's too expensive...so I'm sad that I won't be able to read it...maybe she'll have a special sale one day...
