I liked book two much better. That Hero was all in the second he saw her. Axle, this one, on the other hand, even after meeting the h, had thoughts about the only reason he didn't go out and get laid was because of his parole conditions, NOT because he only wanted the h. No. Just no. I don't want to read about a guy that even thinks like that. It lessens what we're supposed to believe he and the h feel for each other. Granted, his tune changed and he was willing to go back to prison for her, but it was tainted by the earlier thoughts.

Jackhammered by Ava Kyle
Axel is a ex-con that was convicted of beating up a guy that tried to force himself on a woman in a bar but unfortunately gave him life changing injuries.
Josie is a rich girl who’s daddy runs the construction company that Axel has to work at to keep himself out of prison.
At first I didn’t like Axel he came across as a right dick, all he cared about was himself and getting laid.
When he starts his dance with Josie it was weird and creepy at times but when they actually started a relationship things became serious and feelings started to get complicated and much more serious.
Axel and Josie are from completely different worlds but somehow work well together and I really enjoyed the development of the relationship and how things played out between them and his job with Jodie’s father.

He can't ignore it, being a 6'3" , 27 year old hot blooded, just out of prision, all American male!
This well written book is hard core romance💕 with not much story inbetween. It's more erotica than romance,💕 and is novella length.

For me this is a read that you have a real clue of where it is headed, if you enjoy that kind of read .. at the beginning was a bit confused of the age of the girl ...thought maybe it was going to be one of those forbidden age romances, but then it was mentioned she was in fact 21. Blue Collar Heat series. Yes, the chemistry, is holy hotness for sure. newbie author to me, great style! If you enjoy that kind of read, u need and should check this out!!

Josie and Axle are going to steam up your e-reader. Holy Hotness. Ms. Ava Kyle is a fairly new Author to me, however, I can assure you that I am 100% a huge fan after devouring this superbly crafted book. Jackhammered is the real life version of Beauty and the Beast (but in an incredibly sexy way). I do not like to give away any part of the plot in my reviews, so I'll try my best. Obviously, this release is a powerful read in a very realistic way. He is the definition of bad boy with a heart of gold. After being whisked away to jail, after trying to do the right thing, Axle is out and being back on the straight and narrow comes with a long set of rules to adhere to. Josie is a college student as well as the only child to a very devoted and wealthy single Father. As it happens, her Father is Axle's new boss and Josie is definitely off limits. I truly loved everything about this delicious book. Jackhammered has an absolutely addictive storyline as well as an incredible set of characters. I guarantee that this book will keep you riveted throughout.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the first book in the Blue Collar Heat series. In this book, Axle has been released from prison and he is starting a job at a construction site through a work rehab program. Axle's conditions to his parole are to stay away from bars, alcohol and not to date for 6 months. Axle knows he doesn't want to go back to prison, but when he sees the boss's daughter, he knows he has to have her. Josie is a 21 year old college student and her father keeps a close eye on her, not allowing her to date. When Josie sees Axle, she can't keep him off her mind and wants to be with him. When Josie flirts with Axle, he tries to warn her away from him, but he can't resist her. When she shows up at his apartment, he knows he will have her now, only when he finds out she is a virgin, he sends her away. Josie is even more determined to be with Axle and keeps trying to get his attention. I liked this story. I liked Axle, he is a strong dominate alpha male who wants what he wants and doesn't care as long as he gets it. I love how Axle tried to send her away, but he couldn't resist Josie. Josie wasn't the spoiled rich girl i thought she was. This was the first book i read by Ava, but i will be looking for more.

He's also banned from women, courtesy of his parole officer!
Which of course makes Josie, the boss's hot 21-year-old daughter, Josie, all the more desirable.
But the course of true lust faces obstacles.
"He’s a blue-collar ex-con, and I’m a pampered upper west side princess. We have nothing in common."
"Baby, I stick my dick in you and I’m going back to Sing Sing. You may be a hot little piece, but you’re not worth it."
And there is the small matter of her virginity. "Girls get too clingy and want things I can’t give them after I pop their cherry."
"Jackhammered" ain't a great read by any means - it's somewhere south of ok.

Wow! Talk about intense. This is one exciting, fast paced, smooth flowing, nailbiting, heart pounding, pulse racing, page turning bombshell that's as riveting as it is captivating. A whirlwind of emotions and events that pulls those heartstrings. An instant connection, chemistry that's off the charts, white hot and explosive really grabs your attention. The characters are complex and believable with such depth and individuality it's easy to relate. A surprisingly absorbing story, I loved it! I didn't it would be as good as it was, but I'm so glad to have been given an advanced copy to read and voluntarily review. Axel and Josie don't have much in common at all, but you can tell from their first meeting that something big was brewing. Axel had so many things to overcome to even be a regular guy, and Josie started off seeming kind of sheltered, but quickly became more. I loved the plot but the characters were on point in their presentation that they came to life in my mind as I read this. The love scenes were incrementally hot, like they didn't just fall over each other in the first two pages, and their encounters built up over the course of the story. If you have to pick one story to buy this week, let it be this one, you won't be sorry.

Axel is just released from jail and has started a new program for people on parole. Its to help them find work in a filed they'll do well in. Axel's boss is an a** when he first starts but when he sees that Axel is great at his job he promotes him. There's just one little problem the boss's daughter Josie goes out of her way to find Axel. Axel isn't supposed to get involved with anyone and he's to stay out of trouble. Josie is about to have him breaking both of those rules. Can Axel stay away from Josie? Will he end up back in jail?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning until end. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this to any book lover.

How does society see an ex-con? Poor, dumb/uneducated, no manners, lazy with no goals? How does one think of a college woman living in the penthouse of an upper East side Manhattan building with her father? As a spoiled high maintenance princess used to being furnished with the best?
But this story shows Axel, an ex-con willing to work hard, respect his boss, yet dare to welcome Josie, daughter of his boss, to his run down apartment in Queens, knowing she sneaked out of her home and rode the subway from Manhattan. This is a really fine book, telling of the risks taken by the lovers and in the end we see they are not from two different world views as originally thought. This is a very enjoyable quick read

“Jackhammered” is an incredible fast-paced romance which I read in one sitting. Josie is a rich spoiled princess whose father keeps her on a tight leash. Axel is an ex con working construction for Josie's father. Although Axel and Josie are totally opposites there is an electrifying chemistry when they meet. Part of Axel's probation states no booze or women for 6 months. Will Axel risk his freedom for a tumble with Josie? If you appreciate bad boy romance, you must grab this book. Definitely a captivating read.

Josie and Axel surprised me with the way their relationship evolved and the way the author matured them along the way. Their thought processes and decision making definitely changed from the way it was in the beginning. Yes it was more of an insta love story but Axel proved himself to be more than just a horny ex con with no future. Didn’t expect much but then again I didn’t expect to like this as much as I did. Nicely written for a short story that’s perfect for before bed reading.

Actually, the attraction is mutual: they try to fight it but no way!
The H is a strong dominant alpha male with a pretty dirty mouth.
Lots of sex and a cute/positive epilogue

Her father has a construction company and has a hot alpha male working for him. Only thing is he has been prison for three years. The bosses daughter has the hots for him. She knows if she makes a move her dad will send him back up t o prison. He wants her just as much. Can she have a future with him and keep her dad from sending him back up? I have to say I didn't like Axel much at first, but I do like to see a character grow and develop and have me change my mind. I wasn't sure about him and Jose together at first but again my mind was changed. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow and how both their relationships changed with her father. Josie is tired of living in her tower. Axle was just released from prison. They shouldn't be together. Will Josie get what she wants? Will Axle have to return to prison?
Loved how Josie wasn't some stuck up rich girl and how she was tired of being treated like a glass doll. I loved how Axle was willing to risk everything for her. Great quick steamy read!
