Three years after the apocalypse Sam and her three kids continue their life in the safe haven. Well,as safe as they can be. The military is at a constant battle to keep the walls standing but the zombie herd just keeps growing stronger by each passing day and finding there way into the compound that once protected everyone.
Supplies are running low, weapons are far and few. Now Sam must help a group of soldiers find weapons and food. Her journey continues with her fighting to save the only home she has left and the only family still living.
The End Is Near is the fourth book in the Hell Bound series but can be read as a standalone. To understand Sams story you may want to read the Hell Bound series from the beginning.
Hell Bound ( A vacation from Hell) Hell Bound ( A world apart) Hell Bound ( Till death do us part )
Kathy Dinisi is an Amazon Best seller and a Award winning author. She lives in California with her husband and two boys. When she is not writing a horror story or two she is riding her horses or hiking with her family.
I have loved every one of these books! It's such a scary thought to be trapped inside a compound during a zombie invasion and start running out of food and weapons! Imagine having to leave safety of your new home to go find these things!
We find Sam, her children, and her parents at the Haven. But not all is peaceful and quiet there, zombies are breaking in, causing trouble and chaos. Sam meets Captain Craig and after things happen at The Haven she leaves with him and his men to go after supplies. This book to me wasn’t as good as the others, but it’s gripping and keeps you reading.
This book follows Sam and her family after the apocalypse. Shes living her life as safe as she can but things happen and she has to help the military. Amazing book
After waiting so patiently (lol) this next installment finally got to my kindle. I was nervous because a beloved character was scratched out (pun intended) and worried I wouldn't care about the new adventure of Sam and her kids. Well I'm extremely pleased to say Kathy didn't leave us hanging for nothing. I am somewhat giddy over a certain new character that Kathy promised I would love. Well he's manly, rugged and just what the new story needs. My only negative thing is in wishing this book was longer. I didn't want it to end. We are definitely left wanting more and Kathy can't write fast enough for my liking. Make sure you get her other 3 books before this one so that you get the full effect of the evolution of the life of Sam. Worth more than the .99 cents that she is asking for. It's a real deal for the enjoyment I got from The End Is Near.
It’s been three years since zombies first started roaming the Earth and it just seems to get worst instead of better. Sam and her three kids are safe behind the walls of the Safe Haven but once in a while zombies do manage to find a way inside the walls.
One day when zombies find a way in and chaos sets in behind the walls. Once the zombies have been taken care of and everything returns to normal or what normal is these days they find that there were a lot of people injured and the hospital is running low on supplies. Safe Haven is also running low on food and other supplies as well. A team has been gathered to go out to search for the supplies needed so they can restock. Sam decides to go with the search team to look for medical supplies as she will know more about the meds that are needed.
Sam and the soldiers have a long hard road ahead of them fighting zombies along the way. Something is not quite right with the zombies they run into; no these zombies are acting differently, they have evolved in some way and they are so much faster now than they were in the beginning.
The End is Near is filled with action and suspense on nearly every page with a lot of zombie killing. I have read every book in the Hell Bound Series and loved each and every one of them but I do love me some zombies. I can’t seem to get enough of zombies.
I have found myself another favorite author. Oh yeah I have now added Kathy to the top of my favorite authors list. I can’t wait to check out more of her books. Kathy is one of those authors who can make you feel as if you are right there with the characters and you can feel what the characters are feeling. When reading one of her books you can see it playing out in your head like a movie. Oh yeah and I would love to see the Hell Bound Series on the big screen.
If you like shows like The Walking Dead or Z Nation then you are going to love The End is Near. The End is Near can be read as stand-alone but I would highly suggest that you read the other books in the series so that you up where they are now.
The Continuing story of Sam and her family is fantastic. You can feel her pain with the loss of family and friends. Sam has opened up her heart to another but can't get Mattew out of her mind. She battles the zombies for the ones she loves and leaves her children again to help a friend. These books have you on the edge of you set and turning pages. More to come I hope!
To put it simply, I loved it. I loved the first books and was thrilled when Kathy decided there was more to be said. No book is good without some heartbreak in it, and Sam has had an awful lot of heartbreak. Looking forward to the next book, write fast Kathy
Another great addition to the Hell bound series. Had me glued to my kindle needing to know what happened next. I can't wait to see what happens next for Sam and her family. Will Craig penetrate her walls and will there be hope of an end to the outbreak?
What a perfect opportunity to get a taste of how the characters are doing... i was so glad that the author decided to do a continuation. this book was so good and I enjoyed it..
