This volume has my whole heart. It’s the introduction of Giyu and Shinobu, plus it finally gives Zenitsu’s backstory. I love every second of it.
Also, this arc is legitimately the only one that scares me. It’s not too scary, but the human/spider hybrids freak me out.

First of all, I want to say a little about the golden trio of the Demon Slayer. It's not impressive, not memorable, not "golden" in any way. And I'm no saying it just because I don't like either Zenitsu nor Inosuke. Tanjiro's first meeting with both of them ended up in a conflict, and none of these situations painted Zenitsu and Inosuke in a bright light. Tanjiro is a glue holding these three together because, despite the initial conflict, both Zenitsu and Inosuke were impressed by Tanjiro's words and/or actions, and want to stay by his side, even if they wouldn't say it out loud. This trio doesn't quite work as friends, but they work as battle comrades (as it's proven in the Tanjiro/Inosuke team up in this volume), so that's something, right?

Anyways, volume 4 of Demon Slayer concentrates on Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke's mission where they had been send to the woods because of an emergency. They end up in a very gruesome and morally complicated situation. They are met with a terrifying sight where their comrades from the demon slayer corp. were being used as puppets in the hands of a demon. It was just as difficult situation for the heroes as it was for me, as the reader. They didn't know any of these people, I didn't know any of these people as well, but that didn't matter in the face of their bodies being used in such a gruesome way. It didn't matter if they were dead or still alive, everyone were just puppets in the demons hands - free to be used however it pleased. In this case - as weapons against Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu who were seen as intruders. On the other hand there was the demon situation - which wasn't as clear as you might initially think. There were humans used as puppets by a demon, yes, but that demon wasn't evil. It was just another victim, another being that needed help, but was afraid to say it out loud.
It was one of those situations where I felt incredibly conflicted. At one hand there were the soldiers being used, killing each other and fighting over and over again, not being in control of their bodies, being led like puppets on the strings. On the other hand, there was the demon who fought hard to clear the woods of the intruders, terrified of the entrance of the bigger evil. I was sorry for the demon, I was, but I cannot forgive her for the way it treated all the poor souls of the demon slayers. My heart cried for them all, especially the ones who were in so much pain (both physical and mental) that begged Tanjiro and Inosuke for death. Tanjiro fought so hard to keep them all alive, but the demon decided otherwise, and I will always hate it for this. All this death was completely unnecessary. I wish we could know these slayers names, so their sacrifice wouldn't be forgotten.
When I'm in the topic of the demon slayer corp, I'm quite baffled by the decision of sending just normal troops to these woods and then of sending the three rookies there instead of, well, sending the Hashira members right away. I know that Shinobu and Giyu were send there eventually (vol. 4 is also Shinobu's introduction), but I'm still pissed off about it, because so much death could've been avoided if the Hashira were send there earlier. I will not even comment on the fact that there is such a big gap between the Hashira and other demon slayers, why weren't they properly trained is truly beyond me.
Anyways, before I will end my review, I want to say that I absolutely hated the whole spider situation, because I hate the spiders. They always terrified me so seeing ones with a freaking HUMAN HEADS gave me all the creeps and I couldn't sleep at night. I've seen it in the anime, but I totally forgot about it! And the face of the father demon close up? O my gosh. I don't remember him looking so terrifying in the anime!

In my review of the last volume, I said that the straw-haired lad was the class clown of the trio. That's not quite true. When together, the trio of Tanjiro, Straw-hair, and Boar's head were more like the Three Stooges.

المجلد الرابع من قاتل الشياطين يعتبر البداية الحقيقية للصداقة القادمة بين " تانجيرو \ إينوسكي \ زينيتسو "و كما بدات صداقة " زينيتسو و تانجيرو " بصداع نصفى من العويل و التوتر الذى يصاحب كل من يلتقى بزينيتسو جائت صداقة " تانجيرو و إينوسكي " بصداع اكثر شراسة لكن من الغباء المطلق لشخصية إينوسكى التى تمتاز بالعنف و التنافسية لابعد حد وبعد عراك انتهى باصابتهم جاء وقت الراحة اخيراً .
نبدا بالتعرف تدريجياً على إينوسكى و اسباب التحاقه للفيلق و ايضاً تاتى اللحظة التى يسأل فيها زينيتسو تانجيرو لماذا يرتحل مع شيطانة حتى يخبره تانجيرو و تقع عين زينيتسو عليها و قد كان !!! الحب من اول نظرة و فاصل فكاهى بين الشخصيات ينتهى بمهمة جديدة كانت الهدوء ما قبل العاصفة .
مهمة جديدة للثلاثة معاً لاول مرة للذهاب ناحية الشمال الشرقة لجبل ناتاجومو فى مهمة محفوفة بالمخاطر و منها تشعر بالدنو تلقائى للبداية الفعلية لمواجهة شياطين اكثر شرا و عنفاً و قد كان بعد دخولهم اليه مجزرة و كثير من المبتدئين امثالهم تم قتلهم و استخدامهم كعرائس الماريونيت من قبل الشيطانة الام لقتل زملائهم و الهجوم عليهم .
عائلة من الشياطين تتكون من 5 افراد كل فرد منهم يمتاز بقوة غريبة فى غابة لا حصر لها و مع افتراقهم تبدا مواجهة بين إينوسكى \ تانجيرو من ناحية للعنكبوتة الام و مواجهة بين زينيتسو و شيطان عنكبوت من الابناء .
كالعادة القتالات حماسية و الرسومات بديعة لكن اعتقد البطل الحقيقى لهذا المجلد هو زينيتسو , شخصية قوية قوة لا محدودة لكن يقابلها خوف من الاخفاق و الفشل يجعله فى حالة من التشتت تجعلنا كقراء نفقد صوابنا احياناً و نضحك بهيسترية احيانا اخري .
نهاية المجلد قوية جدا تنبأ بمواجهة قوية قادمة لما يشبه من قوته اننا اخيرا مع لقاء مع احد الاقمار السفلية ال12 و فيما يتعلق بالمسلسل فاالحلقات التى تتناولها هذا المجلد هى من الحلقة ال 14 الى الحلقة ال 17 فى الانمي .

En este volumen Tanjiro sigue haciendo cosas de protagonista,como ser amable y preocuparse por sus compañeros,a la vez que patear traseros demoniacos,pero creo que este volumen se lo llevan Inosuke y Zenitsu;El primero con su actitud tan extravagante y alocada,Mientras que Zenitsu sigue haciendo cosas bastantes geniales cuando bueno,ya saben cuando.
Las arañas como villanas me estan agradando mucho,pues son bastantes poderosas y un tanto escalofriantes.
Sin embargo la pregunta mas importante de todas es cuando volveremos a ver a Nezuko en accion.

Zenitsu (the blonde guy) is the only character written to be realistic. He’s the only one constantly freaking out and having panic attacks by seeing fucked up demon spider people. His anxiety attacks are so violent that he cries and fucking passes out.
I feel the same way seeing spiders.

Me ha gustado, creo que es el mejor tomo hasta el momento son batallas interesantes frente a los demonios araña del bosque.

Arco: Natagumo Mountain Arc (28-34)
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Vol. 4 es un nuevo arco para los protagonistas. Y es un arco muy prometedor. Los personajes, el diálogo, los sentimientos, la historia. Creo que la historia va por buen camino, es atrapante y conmovedora. Hay muchas escenas y paneles que me gustaron, sobre todo, las escenas de acción y humor.
También hay nuevos personajes, como Inosuke. Es un personaje un tanto difícil cuando es introducido, pero es un personaje interesante. Es muy divertido leer como Tanjiro y Zenitsu lidean con él. Y a pesar de todo, hacen un gran equipo. Tienen química y sus interacciones son muy naturales.
En cuanto a los villanos, debo decir que desde este arco, se introducen antagonistas cada vez más fuertes y con poderes diversificados. Como Rui, que es una luna inferior y la primera luna en aparecer. Creo que los villanos son cada vez más prometedores.
Además, me fascinó el último capitulo. Zenitsu es un personaje que me encanta. Es mi favorito en el anime y en el manga, así que me gustó conocer un poco más sobre su pasado. Sin mencionar, que es fascinante ver sus escenas de pelea.

Holy shit this manga just turned amazing.
Tanjiro is still on his mission but now he is joined with Zenitsu and Inosuke. Both of these character's can't be more opposite. IN saying that it makes their interactions great. When a corps member is drawn back into the forest in front of everyone, Inosuke and Tanjiro run in to save him. In doing so they meet creepy crawlers who begin to attack them. Inosuke deals with a Spider-like creature which is both badass and extremely funny.
The comedy jumps up a few notches here with multiple scenes that made me laugh really hard. The art and fights also get better as I was able to follow it all this time. The dialogue stays strong, and Tanjiro is a great main hero. Overall awesome volume and a easy 4.5-5 out of 5.

Zenitsu is such a cutie patootie!! And Inosuke is so funny for no reason. The demon spider family made for some pretty interesting combat this volume; I loved seeing the fights between them and Tanjiro’s newfound squad.

I'm waiting to like this more, but I'm still unsure. I think I just really like the character designs, but not personalities? Right now I just like Tanjiro and Nezuko. I mostly just want to find out if Nezuko is going to turn back to a human. I just wish she got to do moreee.

Wow wow wow. This volume was the best one SO FAR! I liked how Tanjiro and Inosuke are fighting as a "team"(even tough Inosuke is very, very stubborn)
And then ZENITSU, god. I'm loving this boy so much!!
Can't wait to pick up the anime later to see all of this.

Me gustó este volumen, Inosuke se llama el cabeza de jabali jajaja me hace reír con sus tonteras y su afán por ser el mejor. Es competitivo pero despistado.
Y el otro chico, Zenitsu, contaron un poquito de su historia y el por qué se volvió cazador. Ya lo había comentado en el volumen pasado pero ahora mostraron escenas con su maestro.
Todo esto en medio de la nueva misión y ahora trabajando los tres jeje y Nezuko en la caja xd ah a Zenitsu le gustó jajaj el enemigo actual si es uno de los doce y tiene cara de araña iugg y no se que tan relevante sea pero también tiene familia aunque no era buen esposo. Tanjiro acabo con la señora, aunque ella igual se entregó a la muerte.
Me agrada la manera de ser de Tanjiro, esa bondad y su capacidad de entender el sufrimiento que llevan o vivieron los demonios.

Pues... un poco mejor, gracias a la mayor interacción entre personajes. Un grupo siempre da más vida.
Me hace mucha gracia Zenitsu, lo suyo en humor del malo pero funciona.
Inosuke me pone nerviosa con su cabezonería... al final sera un blando XD
Tanjiro es demasiado bueno... y su hermana... sácala mal leche!! La única mujer hasta el momento y a penas participa.
En cuanto a contenido, en este tomo el hilo principal de la historia no avanza mucho. Y que mal rollo las arañas y que risa con las caras de Zenitsu jajajaja

It’s certainly getting stronger now. Not just the characters, but the story. Of course, it’s mostly battles here, but we’re seeing some of the massive creativity of the series come out now. A family of spider demons. Part one.
Of coure so many Slayers are dead. They are *probably* outclassed. (I know they are. But the attempt is so cool.)

Inosuke gets introduced properly in this volume, now the main trio is complete! Things are getting exciting and the story is in proper, full motion. I find myself laughing loudly at their interactions at times.
The Demons are slowly being introduced from multiple angles, with an unexpected backstory every time that stirs empathy behind the revelations. In the rain scene (as well as the earlier drum scene) I fell in love a little bit more with Tanjiro's gentle approach and deep understanding of the value of recognition, aknowledgement and ability to be soothing. A lot of displayed traits in meaningful scenes come from a profound wisdom.
In whichever form of fiction Demons or Evil becomes personified or displayed, I make an active effort to remember that it's just a metaphor for an evil or the shadow that exists and can be stirred or created in all of us, mostly from suffering. And only love can soothe it.

This was such a great volume! As Tanjiro meets Inosuke their blades clash and we learn a little about Zenitsu and Inosuke as they make their way towards a resting place then go on some mountain range where they are met by a family of Arachnid demons. They are controlling the other DSC members through webs and so it falls on them to defeat it and also Zenitsu dealing with a spider demon and the whole backstory, motivation is explained here and its so good getting to know Zenitsu like this! Just fantastic art and the story is gonna get even better now! I am liking the slow getting to know these characters while also exploring the different demon types that exist.

After Tanjiro’s fight with the boat head swordsman, we get to see a determined warrior named Inosuke behind the mask. Meanwhile, the group is ambushed by a demon threat and we learn about cowardly Zenitsu’s harsh origins and see his more braver side. A- (91%/Excellent)

i’ll be writing my review in the last volume for the entire demon slayer manga after i finish it.

I can’t get enough of this !! Zenitsu is the star of this volume; his backstory got me in tears and I love him even more.

This story is increasingly captivating me. The first volumes left me reluctant, but this one definitely showed me that this story has huge potential. I'm off to read the next volume!
