R.E.A.L.: Remember Everyone Ain't Loyal

Rate this book
**FULL STANDALONE**Not many individuals living the street life are motivated to leave it behind. Sometimes the reality of death or prison aren’t enough to convince one to walk the straight and narrow. That was the case with MB, who ruled the streets and didn’t think twice about what the final outcome would be. Even after pleas from his loved ones, he isn’t willing to let the fast life go. It's not until something drastic happens that hurt the very depths of his soul that he begins to contemplate his actions and if continuing to live this lifestyle is worth the risk. As dramatic events in his life begin to unfold, he realizes that he can’t trust anyone out here and nobody is as loyal as they appear to be. Porscha is struggling to raise her spoiled teenage daughter Tatiana, that she has with MB. He’s an active father, but what he does for a living goes against the values she's trying to instill in their daughter. She falls ill and doesn’t have the energy to battle with Tatiana’s rebellion and enforce discipline. On the other hand, it’s not until Tatiana is faced with life or death that she begins to think more clearly and wants a second chance to do right by her mother. Will MB be able to save his daughter from destruction? Will he ever figure out who’s really loyal to him or who’s just riding his wave for the benefits that comes with being acquainted with him?

Maurice “MB” Bishop (narrator) had taken Tatiana “Lil Bit” Renee Bishop (16 daughter) out to shop for a dress at Mally’s (W. Florissant).
Dyson (Porscha’s fiancé, stepdad) came to tell Tatiana, Porscha Watson (34, mother, bus driver) said it was time to eat.
MB, Frost (north side), T-Streetz (west side), Damu (south side), Unanimous, & Draco (MB’s right-hand man) were having a meeting.

Dr. Price (gynecologist) gave Porscha the news. She had Stage III Ovarian Cancer.
Dyson & Tatiana were told at dinner take-out time.
A drunk driver hit Jeremy (Tatiana’s BF) & he was in a coma.
Jeremy’s funeral came/went.
Tatiana moved in with MB & Unique (GF), even though she hated the woman.
Later, MB cut Draco from the group & booted Unique out the door.

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review. Only an honest one.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A fairly well written Urban African American book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great Urban African American movie, or better yet a mini TV series. Not for the faint of heart but I will fate it at 4/5 stars.

R.E.A.L: Remember Everyone Ain’t Loyal

This book touched home for me and I’m sure a lot of people out here. It was so well put together and flowed effortlessly it didn’t mess a beat to reality of the world today. I really enjoyed how it brought so much awareness to cancer, sex trafficking and the thing our teens might be going through. I rated this book a 5 because it proved to be that plus more. This book is a must read to me it’s enjoyable mystery and awareness all in one.

Well done

This book was well plotted. The characters were well developed and the story flowed effortlessly. It seemed like a short read because it was such a fast paced story. Yet, everything you needed was there, including enough shady happenings to keep you guessing. I thoroughly enjoyed this book; it was my first read by this author and I will seek out more of her works.

Loved it

I enjoyed this book I couldn’t believe Dyson was as grimy as he was how could he do that to someone that considered him a father. Draco is the meaning of that saying keep your enemies close and your friends closer however the saying goes. I can’t wait to read something else by this author she didn’t disappoint Me.

Wow
MB was definitely the boss. His love for his daughter Tatiana was shown throughout. Felt bad for Porsha as her health declined quickly. Content went well with the title as an unexpected turn of events made this a suspenseful read.

Powerful Story glad it was written because it’s so relevant and necessary. This book reminds us parents to monitor our children’s social media activity and not to want love so bad we have people that may due them harm around them.

Everyone isn't loyal

The title of this book is so true but what happens in this story is more real. It's always the people closest to you that you need to watch. You already know what to expect from a person who doesn't like you.

Great Book

I was not expecting this book to go the way it it. It was kind of sudden, but I really enjoyed it. I thought I was going to be reading the typical gangster story, but it was awesome that it touched on real life issues.

New Fan

I read the 2nd part first so it was great to fill in some of the blanks. The greatest saying in this book is everyone is not your friend. Be careful of the people you have around your children.
