A laugh-out-loud cozy paranormal mystery.
Evangeline Winther accepts that she is a witch... but is she a capable one? Eh, not so much.
She can’t control her powers.
She can’t cast a spell.
And—let down of a lifetime—no one rides a broom.
But she does have the love of her hot mechanic and her ever faithful—if somewhat annoying—cat. Things are looking up.
Until someone runs her off the road.
Now she must figure out who—or what—is trying to kill her.

A paranormal mystery romance

Andris Bear has written a book that combines the paranormal and romance with a gentle humour. Four sisters have recently lost their parents to (dare I say it) witchy powers. The mystery deepens partly because nobody will talk openly about what’s happening to them. Evangeline doesn’t want to frighten her young sisters unnecessarily by telling them that they are all witches. This isn’t made easier by the fact that she didn’t know that she was until very recently. Unfortunately, ignorance can lead to other problems. This is a good read and begs you to get the next book!

GAH! Another cliffhanger! I'm now assuming this whole series will be like this. This series is serial rather than episodic, and you definitely have to read all the books to get the whole story. None of them can be read on their own. That's not usually my thing, but I'm enjoying things enough so far to keep going--at least for now. I like the characters (though there were a couple of times I was annoyed with Evangeline in this one), and I'm looking forward to seeing where this is all heading. This book, the second book, is more an introduction to the characters and their abilities than anything else.

This book was longer. Still under 200 pages. But it felt a little more like I'm at least getting my money's worth. This book introduces us to the rest of the sisters and a few more facts about people and sets up the fact that someone is trying to kill them. Or at least one of them. It feels like it takes up a lot of pages and yet doesn't do a whole lot. It still feels like I'm reading parts of one book and not individual books.

Pretty good

This was a pretty good read but I really hate "DALLAS" type endings. Not sure I like this book but it is not too bad.

A great storyline

I am enchanted! I love the humor and banter of the Winther Girls. I think it’s going to be a fun series of books!

All hell broke loose!

All the sisters now have power. Freya is trying to kill Evie; and Mallory absorbed the nurse's heat and killed her. Now what?

Adult content, reader discretion advised. Evangeline is one twitchy witch. Though nothing can bring back her parents, she is starting to make a new life in Whisper Grove with her three sisters and the annoying talking cat.

I love Evie and Shane. Their connection is amazing and once Shane accepted the role as Evie’s guardian, the connection strengthened.

I also loved getting to know the sisters better as well. As this series is progressing, I’m looking forward to seeing what the Winther sister’s get into.

Want a sweet and edge of your seat read? Grab this series! I love it and looking forward to the next book!
