Since Luca was a child, the smallest things including a smile haven't been easy to come by. He has grown accustomed to living a solitary life full of anger and occasional fits of rage. Fate causes him to cross paths with Avery, who is naturally beautiful from the inside out. Working a stressful job as a hotel manager, she constantly deals with disgruntled people, but she never seems to lose her cool. As much as he tries to fight it, Luca can't help but be intrigued by the peacefulness she possesses. She introduces Luca to a more calm way of living life, one he didn't think was possible to live. His anger once again gets in the way of his happiness, causing Avery to leave his side and him to face his issues. Is beauty enough to tame a beast or is peace for Luca unable to be found?
This is the first time I read anything by this author and I enjoyed her book thoroughly. There were a few grammatical errors but nothing to take away from the story. I love that this storyline was different from any other book that I've read. Personally wished to read more in their relationship to see if he relapsed but that's just me being wrapped up in the book...lol. I think that any one would love this book to get a break from the norm of the guy saving the girl, too having the girl"save" the guy this time.
I love how this book gave an aswer to the controversial hashtag, "Be My Peace". It shows us that we should find our peace within and that it truly cannot come from any outsource.
Mr. Luca, even in his temper tantrums seemed like a guilty pleasure and I got nervous for him once the sunshine of the story, Avery was sliding through his fingertips. The part when he tried his luck in going after her, pulled on my heartstrings.
This book was awesome. Oh and his backstory about his parents was heartbreaking. The book for me was urban meets, The Notebook meets Beauty and the Beast! I definitely reccomend it and was happy to have something to read by her as I have read all of her work. Simply outstanding!
This was my first read by this author and I'll be checking out her other books..I enjoyed reading this book. It was a good short book. I loved Avery and Luca together. I loved the way this book turned out. Great job Tiff. I look forward to reading your other books..
1st read by this author. It's true that opposites attract for while Luca's temper was out of control at any given time, Avery was as cool as a cucumber during the most disastrous situations. Good quick read as I look forward to reading other stories by this author.
The bigger message in this book is mind blowing. What people expect from others they can just do themselves. I literally love Luca and his permanent mean mug. I feel like everyone in their life have had a Peace but took them for granted. I never seem to be disappointed when it comes to Tiff Smitty. She has satisfied me with yet another banger.
There should've been more depth with the characters. The main male character goes off for no reason. Like when the security company rep called to verify with Luca and he just snaps at the guy for doing his job. Also, if you're a manager of a place like a hotel, why does someone have to tell you to have training sections with your employees? When the female main character's dad did it, I thought that was odd. That should be something a manager would do across the board. I would give it one and a half star.
This book brought tears to my eyes and I can relate to the main character because I have anger but now having someone to come into my life and help me be a better me is everything. This book is definitely worth the read
This was so emotional and just unconventional. To see Luca on this journey to self discovery. It made me think of how many of our men are so bottled up with life and hurt that it unwittingly shows in everything they do. Love is always the catalyst to change. I am just so glad I got to see his progress. Very good job 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This book is a cute love story. From beginning to end it had my attention. Luca was a mystery and I wasn’t really feeling him at first but I’m glad that Avery made him realize he needed to get help dealing with his anger. I love the way this author tells a story and is able to keep your attention from the very first sentence.
This was a good fast read about finding love but loving yourself enough to know you can't properly love someone else until you learn to love yourself. It's also about how you can't change someone else until they're ready to change things for themselves. I enjoyed it.
I absolutely loved this book. Peace had a spirit that was so powerful, she even had me calm while reading. Lol She was just what Luca needed. The story was so well-written, and the author held my attention from beginning to end. Job well done!
This story was kind of slow to me. Luca needed someone to be his peace because he was filled with anger. This is my first time reading something by the author. I will try something else by her.
This was a beautiful love story. Well written and sucks you in. Luca was complex but likable. Avery was a beautiful soul. I would highly recommend this book.
