Having grown up with scotopic syndrome, and the challenges he faced with reading and processing information. Books were the one thing that HDA was able to learn and use to grow out of his need for coloured glasses and overlays on his work. Reading nightly, with many years of help from his mum, HDA admits his writing may never be perfect. A note at the beginning of all of his works, he asks his readers if they can make it past the slight errors that he alone has edited, they will be granted with the stories he, as a storyteller has crafted for them.

With more books flowing out of him daily, HDA cannot wait to spread his stories, it’s characters and their adventures with the world.

‘Nerdiver’ - Book two of the ‘Magical Creature Series’ has blown my socks off! Fantastic continuum of the story, with more twists and turns than expected! Beautiful! Bring on ‘Nimfa & Master’ !!!

After reading Flighty I was excited to stay in his world and explore further.
Initially I felt like this book was very disjointed from book one, as book one focuses on Flighty and his encounter with Master but book two focuses on Nerdiver and Cyth and other than their friendship there did not feel a huge connection BUT as I continued reading it felt more like the stories were connected and flowed better. I am hoping in book three and any future books in the magical creatures series we see the story of Flighty and Master but book two did end up tying them in together nicely.

After book one I thought we were meant to love Nerdiver, but this book has made me question her character. I thought she was innocent in what happened to flighty in his story, but this book made it clear she had more selfish intent than I had first thought, thought she does remain incredibly forgiving.

I love how the author builds the word, and his brilliant descriptive language makes it easy to visualise the characters and the setting they are apart of.
Flighty had a very clear message that we are enough as we are, initially it felt like the message within Nerdiver was along the same lines but as the story concluded (for now) it felt more along the lines of not everything is as it seems and it is ok to find forgiveness.

I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading book three soon.

Nerdiver is a captivating journey that took me by surprise in many wonderful ways. One of the most unexpected and delightful twists was discovering the friendship between Nerdiver and Nimfa. This revelation truly highlighted the strength of Flighty and Nerdiver’s bond, and I was particularly impressed by how Flighty handled the news with understanding rather than feeling betrayed. It added a beautiful layer of depth to the characters and their relationships.

The world-building in Nerdiver is nothing short of extraordinary. The unique creatures and the ability to create new races kept me constantly intrigued. Each new species introduced brought a fresh sense of wonder and excitement, making the book a true page-turner.

Perhaps the most jaw-dropping moment came with the secrets that Cyth had been keeping. The revelations were shocking and added a thrilling twist to the story. The ending, where everyone comes together to fight for each other and their beliefs, was incredibly satisfying. It was a powerful conclusion that left me feeling inspired and hopeful.

Overall, Nerdiver is a masterful blend of friendship, adventure, and fantastical elements. It's a must-read for anyone who loves a story that keeps you guessing and leaves you cheering for the characters' triumphs.

Nerdiver book 2 of The Mgical Creature Series is beautifully written just like H.D.A.Pratts first book Flighty. As H.D.A.Pratt explains in his book he is a storyteller not an author and I think he tells his stories in a unique way.
I love how the books follow different main characters but still in the same world / timeline and I loved the character development of Nerdiver in this book. There were twists and turns that I didn’t see coming and I can’t wait to dive into book 3

A wonderful follow on from Flighty the first book in the series. This story focuses on Nerdiver who is a magical and mystical mermaid and Cyth who is an Elf. I love how these stories connect together. There’s lots of encounters with creatures such as giant spiders. Quite entertaining and engaging. Looking forward to reading book 3.

Nerdiver is a fairly well written book but what I loved about this was the unexpectedness I had with how much I enjoyed the world and all it’s characters! With twist and turns from page one, I truly enjoyed the way HDA has continued flighty journey but brought Nerdiver to another level with where her world is going. I can not wait for the next one.
