A collection of autobiographical comics inspired by the author/artists' experiences as missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Backed this on Kickstarter and I'm so glad I did. There are a few misses, but overall a lovely anthology of mission stories. It's got it all: knocking on door after door, Dear John's, inspirational moments, bike accidents, dogs pretending to be golden investigators, and giant bugs. It's great to see LDS illustrators all in one book, and it definitely makes me want to track down their individual projects, too.
This book was amazing. I really enjoyed every story and I am so grateful for all the different experiences that were shared about being a missionary for the Church or Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It made me nostalgic for my mission. I’m grateful that this book exists. When I finished it, my wife picked it right up and read the whole thing in one sitting. We both laughed and felt touched by this wonderful compilation. I hope this is just the first of many compilations. Who knows, maybe I could whip something up for a future one.
