I'm finished as in DNF!!! These characters are the most immature, idiotic, tstfl that I've read in a long time!! Mike, a very successful reproductive doctor has a one night stand that he wants more from. Julia the one night stand who is in her early twenties, supposedly successful in her job decides she is ready for a family. A family in the form of just a baby, no baby daddy!. Julia decided she wants a baby without a daddy because it'll be easier, it'll force her to be more independent! Are you $h;tin me right now?!? Her friends try to talk
sense into her, she refuses to tell her family " because they'll just talk me out of it" WTF people?! Does she sound like a responsible mature adult who should be raising a child alone?! Not to me! What she sounds like is a little girl who wants to play mommy and dress baby up! Oh and Mike? Totally wants to have a relationship with Julia. He refuses to be a sperm donor so she totally friend zones him! I give this a negative star! Frustrating ridiculous characters! Secondary characters ridiculous as well...Her friend Sarah has sex in public and continues to get arrested repeatedly. Yep these characters totally sound like mature twenty-somethings living in New York right? Feck No they don't!!

OMG!! The Baby Package by Sarah J. Brooks is awesome. It is so good that I had to buy it to read again. This is the story of Julia and Mike. Julia is only 25 but wants a baby but no relationship so she decides to go to a fertility doctor. Mike is friends with Julia's older brother, he does not know who she is at first, and is also a fertility doctor who works in the same practice as Julia's doctor. Mike and Julia meet at a bar and then again at the doctor's office. Will Julia get past her embarassment and continue with her plans? Will Julia and Mike get together again? You will need to read the book to find the answer to these questions and to find out if Julia and Mike get their HEA. This is a must read and definitely recommend this book.

Julia and Mike are finding that there is no wrong way to make a baby 😜 Julia has made the decision that while the picturesque picket fence happily ever life isn't in the cards for her that shouldn't disqualify her the joys of motherhood. She just didn't think her chosen fertility specialist would be the man that so rocked her world on her one last night kicking her heels up on the town. Mike says he will help her get her aims but only if they do it his way… Mike has just about everything he could possibly desire. He just didn't realize what he was lacking until Julia blew head long into his life. Now he just has to make her an offer she can't possible refuse.

This is such a heartwarm and well written story that it took me by surprise. It was not what I expected. And that in the most positive way. It is another billionaire/baby story but it is so much more than that. It is written with heart and has likeable characters. The mix of passion, humor, want, jealousy, romance, steamy scenes and twists and turns makes it an awesome read.

SUPER tiring back and forth, back and forth.
Julia is super immature and doesn't know what she wants ("I'll do it on my own" - "I want him in my life." - "Fuck this I'll do it on my own." - "I'm mad he doesn't want to be involved." ... yada yada...) and Mike is probably the most unprofessional and indecisive hero I have seen in a long time.

Okay, this book was good, but after a while, I got bored with it. Though it wasn't long, I was over it like I said above. Julia was getting on my last nerve because she kept pushing Mike away, like dang, she was annoying, you could tell he wanted her and wanted the kids that he had with her. But she kept throwing in his face about how the twins were her kids; she didn't want a relationship, she didn't want him part of her life or the kid's life. Push him away, after sex, or get mad when he go and tell people what she tells him the time "those are her kids" "she doing it alone".. When he does what she says she piss off and push him away as I said above, then stop answering his calls, or text messages. Didn't even want him there after the twins were born. Had to sneak to see his kids, because he wanted to be there for them and also her. She was so whinny, until the end until she stopped being a cunt bucket and accepted the fact that he wanted to be with her and the twins, and she admitted that she Love him too with her annoying ***.

Other than Julia, being mad annoying, the book was interesting enough to finish and rate it a 4.5.

Good read...

Julia was a single, self-sufficient young woman Hell bent on having a baby when she encounters Mike, a friend of her brother who became an OBGYN and fertility specilist. After a night of passion, Mike offers to father her child and she agrees but neither can decide on how to define their relationship.

This story is good but tended to become wordy and over explanatory. The fact that Julia was completely blinded to others emotions or that Mike was only following her lead was exhausting.

Don't be fooled by the blurb

This is not a 2nd chance romance. The guy doesn't fight for his family. Wow, this book has so many problems. The most glaring is the constant misused word or tense. It just got worse as the book went on. The author doesn't understand the difference between nodding and shaking your head. Julia is actually kind of nice. She knows what she wants and doesn't pine away for Mike everytime he lets her down or disappears. Which is often. At one point she even starts dating another guy. Good for her. Which brings us to the walking dumpster fire that is Mike. He's another in a long line of romance novel heroes that are absolute human waste. He's arrogant, narcissistic, stalkerish, cowardly, and shows zero respect for Julia. The way he talks about Julia with his partner, Bruce as though she's nothing more than a receptacle is appalling. He and Bruce should have their licences revoked. Fertility doctors who also act as donors for their patients?? Just no. Mike makes bad decisions throughout this book. First he accuses Julia of being a stalker when she shows up for her appointment. Then he immediately starts stalking her when she tells him off. He stalks her to her job. Then he asks her out. She straight up tells him no, but because he has no respect for women or what they want or maybe he can't imagine a world where every woman falls at his feet, he immediately manipulates a situation in front of her boss that forces her to have dinner with him. How romantic. This is even worse when at the 86% mark he lets us know that he would never push himself on a woman. Really? Later, he manipulates her friends into helping him get her back after he blows her off immediately after she gives birth. How is this romantic? Ultimately I couldn't even like Julia because she clearly was fine without him and there was never a hint of emotional connection between them, only lust, but she takes him back time after time without any fuss. Just an absolutely terrible "romance". And the epilogue is so strange and ends with some terrible dialogue that would never be spoken in that given situation. Please avoid this book.

Another hot read from Sarah. I loved this book. This might be my favorite by her yet.  ♥♥

Julia is ready for a family, but not ready for a relationship.  She decides to do it on her own at a fertility clinic.  While out one night with friends she runs into an old crush.  A night of fun blooms into a beautiful friendship.  When Julia ask for his help to have a baby he gives in.  Will the friendship last?  Or will Julia push him away because she is afraid?

This story was heartfelt and exciting.  This book touches on some deep and serious issues that make the book very relatable.  The story flows nicely and is never rushed.  With amazing characters that will draw you in and have you cheering them on.  The main characters Julia and Mike have such amazing chemistry.  I thoroughly enjoyed watching Mike and Julia come together.  Their journey is not an easy one.  They both had plenty of struggles and hardship.  But the end result is an amazing miracle.  

Sarah has out done herself with this  book.  I went into this thinking it was another baby contract type romance.  It is not.  It is so much more than that.  Sarah takes that plot and twists it up into so much more.  She gives it her own spin that really sets it off from the rest.  

I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good dirty book with a great heartfelt story.  ♥

A Story Of Love & Hope

Sarah J. brooks is one of the USA's best selling authors for a very good reason - she is an author who knows what her readers want and she conjures up the most wonderful storylines with fascinating characters that just make your heart melt.   This is one must have read by her that I think you'll love as much as I do.  Mike  feels comfortable with Julia and it's almost as if he knows her but he doesn't make the connection.  The thing he has forgotten is that she is his old friend, Rob's, younger sister and she had a major crush on him long ago.  Now she is home again and wanting to have a child but not a relationship. When she meets him by chance at the fertility clinic where he is a doctor,  the chemistry that she always felt for him , is now also felt by Mike and it quickly blossoms and rapidly grows.  Mike has not been very successful in relationships in the past and since Julia is a very stubborn and feisty young woman, will they ever get together????  Will she give him a chance?  Will Julia risk her heart? I loved the witty banter between these two believable characters and thought that the epilogue was superb as it nicely rounded off the story. I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.

This is an excellent romance novel about the journey between Julia and Mike. Julia is a determined, competent and strong willed young woman who meets Mike at a club and spends an amazing night with him. The sex was so hot and intense I needed to cool down. Sex that is that special usually means that there is a connection between two souls. Yes, there is a deep connection between them with some surprises. Mike is a fertility doctor and Julia wants to have a baby by artificial insemination. As the story unfolds you learn that Mike is not that great with the relationship thing and Julia is too stubborn to let go and love. I won't give away any details because there are surprises along the way. The baby thing will surprise you. I love the use of an epilogue to tie the story together and glimpse into the future. The epilogue is very cohesive and not rushed. I have followed this author for four years and she is in the winners' zone. This is well crafted with wonderful character development. The flow of the story is smooth. Congratulations Sarah J Brooks for another hit. I purchased and also received an ARC for my honest review.

Julia is young, but is ready to start a family. She has a plan in place that does not include the father and/or husband. But when she is out before her appointment at the fertility clinic, she runs into her brother's friend, he doesn't recognize her at all, so she doesn't say anything, but ends up having the best night of her life with him. But a relationship doesn't fit with her current plans, at all. Will it still work if she tries?

Mike is completely engrossed in Julia and wants so much more from her then he ever thought possible. But after their night together, he finds her in his office and thinks the worst and that she is stalking him, but he soon finds out that is not the case and she was supposed to see his partner about her plan to start a family. But what if Mike wants to be apart of that plan? Can he come clean with her about his feelings?

This story is so exciting, cautious, heartfelt and emotional in so many ways. The story is entertaining, I couldn't put it down throughout their journey to find love and each other. Anyone will definitely enjoy this book. I received an ARC of this from the author.

Delectable 4.5 Read!

I absolutely loved this story line and the characters Julia and Mike. She’s 25 and ready for a baby but hasn’t found her Mr. Right. On her last night out before settling down to her plan for a baby, she sees Mike, her older brother’s old friend. He doesn’t recognize Julia so she decides to have her fun with her old crush. They have a great tryst but Julia realizes they can only be friends. Mike is also a part owner of a reproductive center that Julia had been considering for her procedure. After some mishaps with his partner she decides to ask him to be her sperm donor. When he can’t stand to let anyone else fulfill her dreams of a baby he agrees to be the donor. Life gets complicated when he develops true feelings for her and then he gets scared when she admits her feelings. When one turns out to be two, Julia steps up to the responsibility, even if it means she will do it on her own. Her strength endeared me to Julia. I was a bit put off by Mike at times, but decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. It’s feel good story that could use a bit of extra editing to earn a 5.

I loved this story about Julia and Mike. Julia wanted to have a baby and was going to get a sperm donor because she didn't want to wait to find love first. Julia was out with friends at a bar when she met her brother's friend Mike. Mike didn't recognize Julia, but she knew him because she always had a crush on him. They had a great night at the bar and he went home with her. Mike told her he would call her, but Julia was unsure if she wanted him to because of her plans to have a baby. When Mike turns out to be a doctor who runs a fertility clinic, Julia ends up using his partner as her doctor. Mike answers any questions she might have and when she asks him to be her donor, he refuses, until his partner offers. Then Mile becomes possessive and agrees to be her donor. they continue with their friendship throughout her pregnancy and get close. I loved Julia and Mike's chemistry. I think they both wanted more but were scared. I think this was a very good story with a lot of heat. Great one.

They dance most of the night away and end up back at her place where they share a steamy night. Mike plans on getting back in touch with her but before he can he finds her in one of his exams rooms at his fertility practice. Will Julia still go through with her plan or will she give Mike a chance?

This is a great story once I started I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Mike and Julia is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any book lover.

This Baby Package delivers multiple benefits

The Baby Package by Sarah J Brooks is a well written book with a well developed storyline. I love sweet Julia. A true beauty who doesn’t seem to recognize her own worth. Despite her negative self talk, she’s a strong and independent woman. Mike is awesome! The perfect book boyfriend. Tender, caring, understanding and super sexy even when he stubbornly does not communicate clearly with Julia. She, however, is just as stubborn about communication too. The antagonists in this book are the characters themselves! Supporting characters are funny, interesting and add varying dynamics to the storyline.
Overall a great read that this author clearly has knowledge about pregnancy, premature birth as well as pregnancy complications. Kudos for keeping it real!

Julia wants a baby but not a husband, or at least she hasn't met the right guy. She makes an appointment at a fertility clinic. The night before her appointment she goes out partying with friends snd that's where she sees Mike, he is a friend of her brother's. When she realizes that he doesn't remember her they end up back at her place fpr a wild night. At her appointment she is shocked to learn that Mike is her fertility doctor. Mike couldn't get over last night, but he couldn't help but feel he knew her from somewhere and he wants to see her again. When he walks into the room and sees Julia sitting there he accuses her of stalking him. Julia tells him who she is and that she really wants a baby. When Mike says he will help her but only on his terms. Will Julia agree or will she find another doctor. This is a well written story with great characters. I love their chemistry. Julia has everything she wants at a young age except for a baby. However, she is not interested in having a relationship. Making the decision to go the route of artificial insemination, she goes out for a night on the town with some friends and runs into Mike. He is an old friend of her brother’s and the man she has had a crush on since she was a teenager. The problem is Mike has no idea who she is when they wind up sleeping together. What follows is a comedy of errors and miscommunication that will have the reader questioning if these two can get past their issues and have a happily ever after. I have read a few stories by this author and really enjoy her writing style and characters but this is not one of my favorites. It does however bring up some very important issues for anyone considering having a child and the means by which one can accomplish it.

What will the two stubborn, scared friends with benefits and a whole lot more do with the sparks and the crazy amount of feels they have flowing between them?
Cue the angst, heart hurt, sensual heat, and awe thats so sweet!
The Baby Package is quite the tale! This fast-paced, tug of war catapults you into an enticing world of babies, partying it up doctors, self-sufficient females and what happens when " just friends " is not enough!
Read in one sitting, Sarah J Brooks has written a unique and passionate romance I would suggest checking out for yourself!

I really enjoyed how this was like a second chance romance with a twist. Julia has her life planned out she has a successful job, great friends and is going to have a baby now not later via a sperm donor. Her friends think she is crazy when she is still single and young but she is determined and unfortunately that hardheadedness could also be her downfall. Mike is a successful doctor but hasn't found anyone he really wants to be with and after a chance encounter at a club Julia and Mike meet without him realising he is his friends little sister he hasn't seen in years. From here we see Julia's struggles with being pregnant as well as her feeling for Mike while Mike tries to keep his practice from closing. Plenty of emotions go on through out the book leaving you wanted to wring their necks, shake them, hold them and feel like they will never get past the "friend" zone.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book. Wow, I absolutely loved this book. It’s so heartfelt, loving, and you will be cheering the two on every step of the way. Julia has decided that she’s ready for a baby and doesn’t want a baby daddy in the picture. She’s going through the process and is excited for her new future, but when Mike enters the picture he turns her life upside down and the choices she’s made, well she’s changed her mind and asks Mike for a huge favor. Will he go along with what she is asking? Can these two survive these choices and come out on top? You will have to read for yourself to find out what happens with these two. I loved all the characters in this story, Sarah did an amazing job bring Julia and Mike to life and was as to see it end. Highly recommend this book to everyone.

Oh I loved this book from Sarah J Brooks! Julia has given up on finding the right man to start a family. She wants one now and so she is determined to do it herself! Mike certainly throws a wrench in the plans but she won't be deterred. Then, things get even more crazy! YOu have to read this book to see all that happens, cause I can't give it away here. Needless to say you will be very glad you read this book. I absolutely loved it! I voluntarily reviewed and advanced copy of this book.

This was such a good read! A page turner for em for sure! There were times I wanted to just shake some sense into Julia and Mike! This story does a great job of showing that communication is the biggest issue between men and women!!!!
Sarah writes some seriously steamy scenes and moments that will grab your heart. I became invested in these two characters and were cheering them on and again, slapping them silly, the whole time I was reading this book. Have no fear, Sarah comes through and Mike and Julia get their HEA, but just by the skin of their teeth!
Grab this for a not-so-common baby read (cause honestly I usually hate insta babies), this book will provide you with so much more like it did for me!!

Julia wants a baby, but instead of keep trying to find a father to the baby she decide to be a single mother by the help of a clinic. Mike is a Doctor at a fertility clinic were Julia has made an appointment.
A few nights earlier, Mike and Julia met at a bar and spent the night together.
When Julia is meeting her Doctor later on at the clinic - de Bruce - she accidentally run into Mike who thinks she is a stalker.
That is a beginning for you!
This was a feelgood book with a lot of twists in it. Well written story, as well as description of the characters.

Wants and needs are necessary for both parties

Mike and julia have a history that was forgotten. As they met in a club he doesnt know who she is. But she remembers him but why tell him if it comes to ruin a great evening together. Shocker here is she wants to get pregnant at the age of 25. Who is this doctor? And what is his reaction to her being in his office. When their relationship goes to hell before it even has a chance to blossom. And what is he willing to do to get her back.

The story of Mike and Julia is one for the ages a happily ever after doesnt always come when there's a baby involved. But it is a well written well worth it read.

Julia and Mike knew each other as kids; he was her older brother's best friend, and she had a huge crush on him. He didn't know she existed. A chance meeting at a bar years later, where Julia knew exactly who he was, and he had not a clue as to who she was, was just the beginning for these two!

Their story is full of humor, jealousy, passion and romance, misunderstandings and nosy friends that mean well and a surprise or two that will make you LOL and cry at the same time (happy tears, of course!).

RETHINKING SINGLE PARENTING

Take one modern, mid-twenties, single career woman who has decided she is ready to become a mother. Add in a seriously hot man who happens to be the best friend of the determined young woman. Bring them together at a Manhattan club where he feels he knows her from somewhere. Mix in a decidedly wonderfully one-night stand, and you have a wonderful storyline. Then, make this hunk a partner in the fertility clinic that will be performing her artificial insemination. This book will keep readers burning the midnight oil!!!

Excellent Storytelling

A writer has to grab my attention quickly. I have to sense something interesting early that grabs my imagination so that I don't drift to another story or to the tv. The coranovirus situation makes everything dull and uninteresting these days. A good story that keeps my attention, captures my imagination, or has a new perspective can be very satisfactory. Ms. Brooks writes well. Having read several of her stories, I found this story to be highly imaginative, yet pretty realistic, with very positive aspects that peak my interest. Recommended!
