Sadistic Games Book 3 & 4 by Lucian Bane
Miriam backtracks and decides she can’t be with Mordecai in close proximity. When he replies and tells her their arrangement is not going to work, Miriam finds herself perplexed. When Mordecai advises that he will find someone else he notices jealousy in her. Can he manipulate her through her jealousy? Is it time to take what he wants without waiting for permission? When Miriam outplays him, he is pleasantly surprised by her. Has Mordecai reached match point? Or is this warm up to the sadistic games? Once again we see how Mordecai manipulates situations and we see him lose a bit of control until Miriam challenges him. However, it seems our Miriam has also unleashed a sexual need in Mordecai. The story keeps building and you know something is going to happen, you just not sure where our author is going to take this plot. Definitely keeps you intrigued.

Miriam needs to be smart to get what she wants, but does she really know what she wants? Can her faith keep her strong? Mordecai may have accepted her challenge, but it seems like he knows what he wants. He has warned her, that he has to have her to keep her safe. It sounds like a riddle but far more is at play. When Miriam finally allows herself to feel what Mordecai wants her to feel, they are interrupted. Mordecai goes into a protective mode where Miriam is concerned. Miriam is shocked but realises she needs to save him, she can’t let him fend for himself. Can she save him and escape the situation they find themselves in? The plot took a really different turn and you really don’t see it coming, even though Mordecai does predict it. I cannot wait to start book 5 to see how these two souls progress.

A diagnosed sadistic psychopath with a agenda. A naive, good girl with a mission to cure. Both absolutely sure of themselves and their convictions. Sadistic Games Books 1 & 2 set the stage for the battle of wills and wits as Mordecai and Miriam circle each other gathering information on their counterpart and begin the dangerous task of digging into each other psyches.
Lucian Bane goes a bit deeper into the dark with his new work and lead male, Mordecai. Mordecai isn't his usual character as he doesn't really have a conscious. He is strictly logic and calculated wagers, feelings and emotions have no place in his thought processes. As the opening progresses, you are never truly sure of what his actual endgame is, what is true and what he manipulates to gain a win. Miriam, on the other hand, is a open book, her faith and genuine goodness on display. Convinced her theory that psychopaths can be cured is right, she sees her finding a place to live, that just happens to be with someone she needs to prove her theory, as a sign from God that she is meant be there. She misses the clues that she is stepping into a viper's den with blinders on and little experience with his brand of darkness.
In this combined installment book, Bane sets in motion the story of opposing personalities clashing while proving the old adage that opposites attract. Once his two characters start to delve into each other thoughts, Lucian uses his word skills to show that the mating ritual is a sensual dance that starts within the mind and seeps into the body. His use of the millenias old push and pull men and women do while circling closer is intertwined with his flair for adding an extraordinary element to his characters. Miriam's bone deep faith and fearless honesty is paired well against Morecai's ruthless machinations in a way most wouldn't be able to make palatable. Normally, a reader would scorn at the hapless virgin staying with the obvious villain but Bane's ability to give her that bit edge and him that sliver of light makes it believable.
I'm definitely hooked on finding out if Miriam will pull Mordecai onto sun filled side of the street where she exists or will Mordecai take Miriam down into the dirty dark labyrinth he inhabits.

Mind bending and hot, what else can I ask for.....
Ok..so this took on a whole different twist than what I was thinking. But don’t you love that!? I mean there are so many books out there that when you’re reading them you think.. have I read this before? That’s because so many authors are writing about the same thing. That’s not bad but at times I want different. I consider myself an avid reader.. I love to read! So if you are looking for something different something that will have your mind engaged.. read this! I’m on board until the end... I’m fascinated and can’t wait to see what happens next.

Mordecai has asked Miriam to leave because she wasn't the right person for his thesis and because he's a diagnosed psychopath, believing she can change human behavior for her project. He felt she couldn't really handle him because of religious beliefs. By texting her and asking her to leave, then going on about having someone else take her place, Miriam fights fire with fire.
Mordecai is not a likable character and does things that could be a trigger for anyone dealing with sexual abuse.

I don't know if the tables have turned...or this was the set up all along! I feel for Miriam, she is in for the ride of her life. Her morals, dignity, FEELINGS? This is a numbing roller coaster ride, even for me. There's a lot of unanswered questions, so there better be more to come!

Mordecai has Miriam right where he wants her, but Miriam is no delicate flower. She's ready to push back in her own way. He wants her like no other, and the games have escalated to a whole new level! I am completely enthralled with this series!

With his plotting and ulterior motives slowly unfolding to us the reader we have no choice but to be concerned for poor Miriam, who valiantly tries to fight her attraction and questions just where exactly this path she is following is taking her!

Wow, books 3 & 4 of Sadistic Games will knock the wind out of you! I’m still trying to catch my breath! In this installment Miriam and Mordecai have begun their theses. I truly enjoyed how Miriam is desperately trying to remain professional during the study while Mordecai is doing everything in his power to debunk her beliefs. I will say there were some parts where I felt as if I felt uncomfortable for Miriam. She appears to be so naive. Yet as the story went on we begin to see the more confident and sexy side to Miriam. Then there is Mordecai. His demeanor, the way he manipulates and calculates makes me want to never befriend a sadist. As with the changes we see in Miriam we begin to see changes in Mordecai. At one point he appears to your average male. You start to see that Mordecai is experiencing actual feelings he has never experienced before. As you know though, especially if you are a fan of Lucian Bane, things are not always what they seem. Can’t wait to see what is going to happen in the next installment.

Miriam is installed in Mordecai's home and the games have begun. Lucian Bane's serial continues as the sadist and the good girl circle each other learning and revealing all that they can. Miriam trying desperately to keep her professional persona firmly in place and Mordecai poking at the woman beneath at every turn.
The tension, both mental and sexual, builds to levels that you will start expecting the characters to explode out of your reader. Dipping into the black, Lucian sets his sadist free against Miriam which gives way to some very gasp worthy scenes. Ones that will make you question if you can still look at Mordecai as the story's hero but will elevate Miriam to warrior. When outside forces invade and enter the game, Bane uses them to highlight his heroines strength as well as her vulnerability.
Be warned .... A sexy and eyebrow raising cliffhanger marks the end of this section. Don't say I didn't tell you.

Intriguing at the beginning
I really liked this rather particular beginning, while manipulation by a young man who asserts psychopath and wants to be the subject of study of the young woman that he will try to manipulate. the subject of her thesis is the possibility of treating psychopaths, and his own, about the influence of man on a situation or situation on man. But her goal seems to go beyond this intellectual battle, especially since she is very religious, and God would be her explanation for any argument.
He manages to make her live at home for this study and begins his exchanges that seem to be scientific, but maybe not that much.
I just found it unfortunate that the story is broken up into 6 books. This first opus seems too short.

The stories of Lucian Bane never disappoint. He always takes you on a wild ride. A ride you may think you know but like a roller coaster climbing to the top you have no idea whats really around the corner.
I always get nervous and excited when it comes to reading his stories. This one is a slow ride into one I will enjoy. Already this book gives you the curiosity to want maybe even need more. I know I'm trapped in this world of Sadistic Games and looking forward with anticipation of how the story unfolds.

Push and shove Miriam will be mine. She will.come to me of her own free will! If it doesn't happen force.Will be used. I need her like my next breath and how did I come to need her like this. If the guys she named do get a hold of her it won't be pretty. I need to claimed and she won't be touched. They are sick people and bring you to a point of no return. I need to save her because her God can't. But I need to form a plan to keep her too. Can't wait to start the next book!

This strange series is fascinating!
Please be sure to read Sadistic Games Book 1 & 2, before reading these two books. As we get further caught up in Mordecai and Miriam's strange relationship things are beginning to become more clear as to what Mordecai is after. His sadistic friends on the other hand are a totally different problem for Miriam. This series is getting more intriguing by the minute and I look forward to reading Book 5 & 6 next. If you love reading strange twisted stories than I highly recommend this series to you because it is definitely a great read.

What a twist!
Theory exploration isn’t going to plan for either Mordecai or Miriam. So calling it quits seems the best bet. However our sadist Mordecai has a plan up his sleeve when his little test subject Miriam decides to find an alternate sadist to test her theory on. Only things do not go according to plan.

Mordecai and Miriam’s story continues. Mordecai is upping his mind games with Miriam. She is determined to stay true to her convictions but Mordecai has a way of twisting things to make Miriam second guess everything. The sexual tension is simmering and the lid is about to blow off the pot.

Miriam and Mordecai's story continues. Each are being tested to their limits with more boundaries being pushed, all while holding true to themselves and their beliefs.
Some definite gasp worthy moments, revelations with more questions, leaving you with an itch to know more. More players are revealed as well, leaving you on a cliffhanger. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Anticipation within will keep you reading
Mr Bane kept me on the edge of my seat. Wow, this tale enthralled me from beginning to end and left me craving more. Me Bane made me feel like I was IN the story, a part of it, I felt the ups, downs, anticipation and full range of emotions along with his characters. Moving on to 5 & 6 Mr Bane!

This is a real twisted tale!
I can’t quite understand yet where Malachi and Miriam are heading. However , this book has definitely put everything in motion. A lot has happened and a lot has changed. Both of them are on a path that with each page the intensity grows. Time to read next two books!

WOW!!! These games are getting HOT! These two are a ride in it's self. The further the games go the more twisted it gets. How does Lucian do this? He can get you so engrossed in his books you can not put them down. He captures his readers from beginning to end. Absolutely love his books.
