The Bleeding Vow
A Tale of Dark Romance & Revenge
He skimmed his fingers down my shoulders to the swell of my breasts and I felt my breathing become ragged. I could feel the intensity in his touch and it blew my mind. His touch was making me forget reasoning and I wanted to get lost in it.
"W-what's your name?" I croaked out. Trying my best to fight against the sudden pleasure I was feeling.
"Jason. Call me Jason." he said, kissing the back of my neck.
"This is not r-right...my husband...is in the n-next room." I managed to say, trying to hold on to the only sanity left in me.
"Alexa, you know he doesn't give a fuck about you right? And you deserve so much better. Let me make you feel good." he continued his path down my shoulders, trailing down hot kisses.
Then he pulled away and came closer to my lips. His lips brushing against mine and my heart pounding my ears. I so much wanted that kiss but was still trying to hold myself back from kissing him.
I knew I shouldn't. It was wrong for me to feel this way about my husband's employee, but I couldn't help it. Mike and I had been married for a year now and he hardly touched me anymore, forget about of having sex. We had drifted apart.
Although it was an arranged marriage but he had not been like this at the beginning. When we got married newly, he showered me with all the love and care that any loving husband would shower on his wife. I felt loved and I loved him in return. The haze however cleared six months into our marriage when we started having serious arguments about nothing and everything: just to discover from an anonymous source that he’d been cheating on me all along.
Then I met Jason, Mike's P.A. I had never been more sexually attracted to anyone the way I was attracted to Jason. Oh God! I was in trouble.
Would I be able to come out of this attraction or take it as a revenge in response to Mike's infidelity?

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the first book released by Emma and i really enjoyed it. This the story of a young woman Alexa who recently graduated college and met Mike at her graduation party. Alexa was the daughter of a business man and he wanted her to have anything she wanted, so he arranged for a marriage to Mike. Mike was a very successful businessman who traveled around the world for business and he had a woman in every city. Mike didn't want to settle down and he had a favorite girlfriend in Amsterdam named Flora and when they were in bed, he told her he was going to marry her in the heat of the moment. Mike thought she knew he didn't mean it. When Mike and Alexa married, things cooled with them after a few months. Alexa found an envelope with photos of Mike with other women and when she confronted him with a demand for a divorce, Mike told her she had to stay married for her father's sake. Mike had arranged for her father to lose everything if they divorced. Alexa was heartbroken and when Mike's assistant Jason found her crying, her comforted her. Jason and Alexa had an instant attraction and Alexa went to his apartment later that night. They began an affair and Alexa decided to get evidence of Mike's shady business deals and his affairs so she could divorce him. But things weren't what they seemed and Jason was hiding his own secrets. I enjoyed this book, it had a couple of twists and turns. It was a good book about revenge and i will be reading more from Emma.

This is a new author to me and I look forward to reading more. Revenge is a dish best served cold! Mike is a set in his ways lover of women who lives for his business and what he can accomplish. However, with all of the women Mike has been with, has an affinity towards Flora. Flora is not the type of woman that Mike would consider settling down with as she is not, what he considers, an asset for his business endeavors. Alexa is the daughter of another powerful businessman that Mike is salivating at the mouth to do business with. She does what she needs to do in order to tether Mike to her. Yet things do not go according to her idealistic plans. When Alexa is confronted with the truth of her husband’s philandering ways, she takes matters into her own hands. This is one beautifully orchestrated depiction of a marriage gone off the rails and a woman who knows her worth and steps into her own power to get the life she deserves.
I volunteered to read an advance copy of this story.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author. I love sexy, twisty stories. This sure does both. The story starts strong from the beginning and stays fast paced throughout. I’m not sure quite where the Mike personality of Jekyll and Hyde comes from but it sure appears here. And strong does not even begin to describe the appetite Alexa starts with for Mike and then Jake. It was fun for me to watch the revenge unfold. I enjoyed Alexa’s dad’s care of her. I was surprised at Flora’s issues. I guess I have to say there isn’t a time I was reading this story I was not surprised what was behind some of the character’s actions. The other time I was fantasizing about some of the sexy parts. This story sure makes me want to read more by this author.

Mike was in love with his mistress but he married another woman in order to complete a business deal. Seven months after their wedding his wife learns why he married her and promises to destroy him as he destroyed their marriage. I was impressed with this story and the twists in the story line. Revenge is a powerful emotion and Mike deserved everything he received in the end. I received a free ARC copy of this book and have voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

This is a brand new author that I was privilaged to "meet" online. I was given the opportunity to read her book and man is it a doozy. With an arranged marriage that turns nasty and a new person joining in to try and make things better for her. Revenge never felt so good! With twists and turns and hot, steamy scenes, this author definitely keeps you engaged and on the edge of your seat. I'm sooooo glad I read this one!

Mike was on top of the world, a girl in every area his company had a base. One girl just wasn't enough for someone so greedy. Agreeing to an anaranged marriage to Alexa to further develop his career. All while keeping both worlds in the dark. In comes Jason destory of mikes worlds. Loved this book, it make you all of Alexas feeling from the happiness to the pain to the heat and love at the end.

Excellent short story
It is a surprising and very entertaining short story that combines clever storyline, fast pace, unexpected developments, good dialogues and hot heroes who have mind blowing sex. The ending is rewarding my only regret being that the story is too short. This author’s writing is very good and promising. I hope to read more stories and longer stories from her. Well deserved 5 stars.

Revenge feels so right.
Alexa and Mike enter into an arranged marriage. It quickly becomes a marriage without love and unfaithful whims. Mike threatens to keep Alexa in the marriage to suit his business and financial purposes. Alexa meets Jason who then helps her to escape the marriage with a touch of revenge. There are many sex scenes and they are steamy. The storyline is good.

Wow!
What a way to get revenge! I guess it pays off to do it right when the person actually deserves it. She was hurt because of his actions and he did nothing about it. Crazy as it sounds, the way they were introduced was a sign of things to come.

A short revenge packed novella with some feisty characters and an HEA. The bad guy gets what he deserves while his wife gets her revenge in spades. The book has allot of sex for a short read but was entertaining and well written.
