Pacific Northwest author L.L. Frost writes urban fantasy and paranormal romance with snarky characters and descriptive world-building. Whether she's writing a fast burn romance about witches, wolf shifters, and vampires, or teasing a slow burn romance while hunting demonic monsters, her passion is for character driven novels.
Growing up in a rainforest gave L.L. Frost plenty of time to daydream while spending cozy days under a blanket with her cats by her side. Sipping tea or chugging coffee, you can find her with a book or laptop in hand, imagining new worlds.
Continuation of serial series. In which adie boo pond is a bakery owning succubus and under contract ( and is in lust ) and living with 3 very different destruction demons.
Adie has been set up. The Hunters have just beheaded Phillip and the sword is swinging for Adie. She's frozen in shock and grief with no survival instinct in play. Kellen, Emil, and Tobias arrive in true demon style causing the earth to shake and freeze. Their fear and anger wreaking violence on the remaining hunters. This time she's safe but with the hunters in town and someone willing to betray her, the danger is growing. She was attacked behind her bakery. Phillip was killed. What if next time, it's one of her imps?
This serial was heartbreakingly good. Phillip wasn't even a main character, yet Adie's guilt and pain over his loss were significant. It was touching to see her demons rally around her trying to comfort her in their own ways despite their own anger and fear. I was actually impressed. The imps were precious with their support and attempt to comfort Adie. I'm also dying to know who is behind the setup. Is it the obvious suspect or another? Once again the ending was more than worrisome. These novellas don't ever end in a happy place!
This book is all about the aftermath of the hunters attacking Adie. It seems Domnall lied about notifying Tobias, Kellan and Emil about moving up the timetable for baiting the hunters. What's the real plan here? Now Tally has dragged Adie off to Dreamland to find the hunters who seem to have stolen one of her lips. Looking forward to the next installment.
Wow! This was much more emotional than most of the other books. This one even had me tearing up a couple times. That sure is the mark of a good author, they can make you laugh and cry and be happy or upset or anxious or in love with their characters. Great book!! This series just gets better and better!
Just wow! Aide is beginning learn more about herself and relationship with her men. Alas she now also doubts others in her life because she worries someone may be a betrayer. Definite must read.
Aww, poor Imps. Adie is trying so hard to care for others when she needs to be focused on keeping herself safe. I think if she used the destruction demons the right way, then she wouldn’t be struggling for energy.
L.L. Frost brings us crashing back into the story with Adie and her men in Destroyed: Succubus Hunted Part 5. Philip, an imp, has lost his life to the Hunters protecting Adie. She in turn almost loses hers, which would have made his sacrifice in vain. The plan went to the toilet, and now Adie has her suspicions about two who were in on the plan. Something isn’t right…and now she’ll have to be even more careful as her demons try to protect her and educate her at the same time. Destroyed: Succubus Hunted Part 5 is fast paced and over before you know it! There is a steamy moment, but the author only teases us with that because nothing more comes of it. It’s heartbreaking for Adie having to cope with the loss of Philip, but I’m glad that it doesn’t truly break. But of course, danger is still lurking and it shows its face all too soon. There isn’t anything that I don’t like about this book. It’s fast, intense, a bit heartbreaking, but still hopeful in the right areas. The characters are engaging and the author does an excellent job keeping me coming back for more. I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. I’m eager to learn what happens next with Adie and her demons, as the author leaves me with question and suspense.
