I don't remember how I came across this obscure little book, but I bought a used copy this summer (maybe at Powells?), thinking it might be useful when I taught "Pride and Prejudice." It ended up being a quick read with some excellent insights, especially about Jane Austen's manipulation of point of view. I also enjoyed the descriptions of the many kinds of irony found in her stories--it made Mr. Collins that much more hilarious!
