Jax
I was born and bred to be the man I am today. My father and his father were both graduates from The United States Naval Academy in Annapolis. Both went on to become helicopter pilots. Both had seen plenty of action. Both had met and caused devastation. Both men, who I respect more above all, had served and protected the United States and her people honorably for decades.
My best friend, William Cruz, who attended the academy with me, had flown beside me, had lived the same life as I had and shared the same ambitions in life, was gone now. This was not part of the plan. Will and I were supposed to have each other’s backs, support each other and never let anything supersede our bond.
Francesca
I sat on Norfolk Beach needing to feel close to him on the anniversary of his death. It was a beautiful day in May and I was cutting class. I had done the same every year since he passed.
Jaxson Irons was only supposed to be in Pensacola for a year. But now three years later I still hadn't heard from him. I saw a man running down the beach and I knew immediately who it was.
Jaxson didn't respond the way I had dreamed he would. He told me we would catch up someday soon. I stood and watched until he was gone.
Thump, thump. I placed my hand on my chest as I felt my heart beat again for what felt like the first time in three years. Thump, thump. I felt the blood moving quickly through my body. It’s heat once again present. Thump, thump. I looked up at the sky and let out a breath. A breath that I had been holding forever. Thump, thump.
I felt tears fall down my face as I raised my hands in the air and laughed out loud. Just then the clouds parted for the first time in forever. I saw the sun smiling down on me.

This is not my first book by Ms. Fields and i enjoyed it very much as well!!!
So, why I didn't put a higher rating???
It wasn't that i didn't like the story but there were some things that i didn't like very much...

For example, this story had much to do with politics games and I'm not so much in this scenery, but i can't deny that it was given by the author in a very intriguing way...
But let me tell you more about the story...

Jaxson Irons was a soldier who was been raised with a purpose since he was a baby... His father was also a soldier and he was been raised one day to become the President of the U.S. and the same goes for Jax... and this was a dream that he was sharing with his best friend William Cruz until he was being killed...

After this unfortunate incident, Jax stayed away from the Cruz family, even though that he was feeling them more like a family than his own...
But the last day he saw them, Frankie changed the dynamic of their innocent relationship by kissing him...

Frankie lost her beloved brother and at the same time, she lost Jaxson Irons too!!!! The man that she fell in love with since she was twelve and now, her life is empty...

Since Will's loss, she lost herself as well and only recently, she decided to take the wheel of her life back in her hands and to make her dreams come true... For herself and Will...
And then, after three years, Jaxson Irons is coming back in her life and his reaction is not what she was expecting to be and that pissed her off and hurt her at the same time...

It's impossible to fit three parts in a small review without making spoilers, but as you can understand, there was a thing between those two...

A thing that they both fight it!!!
But there was something more that was bounding them together and it was impossible for them to deny it, as much as they wanted to resist...
But there were many things that were standing in their way...

Will they be able to fight for their love and the right to stay together???

Their beginning was bat shit crazy... They were both stubborn as hell but very passionate personalities...

Frankie was very strong and independent and it was very difficult for Jax to control her...
Jax was an alfa male, very masculine and very determined in everything that he wanted to own...
Their chemistry was very strong, but damn, i would preffer less declarings of love especially in the beginning of the second part, because it seemed a little bit fake, even though that i totally understand the need for this declaration since Jax didn't know anything for love...

Those two also had too many shits to face and they had to fight for their love and lives... because the political games are very dangerous...

In this point, i have to add that i liked very much Titan, but i loved fiercely Shadows and I'm dying to find out what will happen with him and his "Little Lamp"!!!!

Someone call the navy because I'm going to need rescued for falling overboard for Jaxson Irons! Jaxson, Shadows and Titan give a whole new meaning to alpha male! Jax can boss me around any day or night of the week!

The undeniable attraction that MJ Fields portrays between Frankie (Francesca) and Jax (aka Jaxson) has enough heat to keep you warm on the coldest night of the winter. Jax' s family dynamics make it difficult for him and Frankie to move forward in their new relationship. Frankie' s struggles with the loss of her brother & how to go on without him leaves her feeling vulnerable and weak. Together they can make it but the outside world may just prove to be too much. Things are out of control and unknown with the Irons family and Mimi. Frankie' s safety is at risk and Jax will do anything to keep her safe, even if that means walking away.

There seems to be more to Mimi' s story than meets the eye. Half truths, omissions or just outright lies muddy the waters for Jax to find the truth, for both the past and the present.

MJ Fields has done an excellent job at spinning a web of family, love, lust, deceit, obsession and politics that will have you caught up in it and struggling, not to get out, but to dive deeper into everything Irons!

I struggled a bit early on about how I thought I would rate this book. Would I give it 3 stars or 4? But in the end I decided on 4.

The H and h both had things I liked and disliked early in the story. Jaxson Irons was so Alpha he was almost arrogant in the beginning. And I'm not crazy about arrogant. But as the story progressed that got much better. My problem with Frankie was similar, except that I felt she was too weak! That, too, changed! BIG TIME!!! Both characters grew a LOT through the pages of this book!!! And in the end, I absolutely loved them both!!! I especially loved the way they came together to be a team, along with other characters we met along the way! Can't wait to read Shadows' story!!!!

Wow! What a book!

I try to read everything this author writes just because of the fact I cannot put the book down once I start it. This one is no exception. Jax and Francesca are dynamite together. They are each strong and make each other stronger. Combine that with an adorable little girl with a surprising parentage and you're hooked. Not to mention, the book has so many suspenseful twists and turns that you have to see what is in the next page. Great job MJ!

Love this book!

I love this book and these characters. The first two parts need some editing but dont let it distract you from the story because there is a great story there!

Irons is a powerful love story and a fantastic start to the Norfolk series! Jackson (Jax) Irons is a Navy officer and pilot. The day he buries his best friend, Will, he is kissed by Francesca “Frankie” Cruz - Will’s little sister. It was a kiss from a girl who has long had a crush on her older brothers best friend. It was a kiss from one grieving soul to another. Jax runs away, unable to cope with Will’s death during a training mission and the feelings of guilt, and unable to cope with the feelings evoked by the kiss. He doesn’t know what to do with the feelings inside of him. Three years later they unexpectedly meet on a beach the day of the anniversary of Will’s death. Their first night together changes something inside of him, she opens a part of him he didn’t know existed. Jax helps the darkness Frankie feels over losing Will fade. He loves her truly, madly and deeply and couldn’t walk away from her even if he wanted to. His family has political ties and aspirations, and his parents object to his love for Frankie. He wants Frankie by his side and on board with everything planned for his life including politics. The kind of love they have doesn’t go away, obstacles only make them more determined and their love stronger.

Absolutely Amazing Book. I love Jax (Irons) and Frankie and can't get enough. I love the whole mystery of who is behind what is going on with Frankie. I NEED MORE. I love Shadows and Titan and what comes out of there mouth. I just wish book 2 was out because I want, no I need to know what is going to happen.. Another amazing book written by MJ fields

Bk 2

I love this series. With Jax keeping Frankie away, to keep her safe, he can't stand to be away from her. He goes to her and wants everyone to know especially her parents they are together. When a crash happens and Jax's loses his memory, will the love they have for each other bring his memories back or will his mother and Mimi use that to there advantage? What happens when secrets come out, will Frankie ever trust Jax again. I can't wait to read what will happen in the next book

Bk 3
I really love this series. What Frankie & Jax's has to go thru it is refreshing to see that no matter what, no one will ever come between them. With trying to get Firefly and learning secrets and everyone trying to bring them down, I couldn't put my kindle down. I I've the characters especially Shadow & Titan and can't wait for Shadow's book

Learning What Love Feels Like

This book is so good I'm having such a hard time getting the words right because I just finished it a few minutes ago and I just didn't want it to end. The story is about Jax a lieutenant in the United States Navy. He was born and bred for a political future. A future he wants because he believes he can truly change the world.

Francesca is the little sister of Will Jax's beat friend and Navy brother. But she isn't very little when Jax realizes there is something about her he desperately needs. She doesn't take anyone's bunk! There is one thing she wants and she has wanted most of her young life, and that is Jax. When Frankie and Jax come face to face years after the unspeakable tragedy that changed all of their worlds, there was no denying their inevitability, although Jax tries to avoid it with everything he has....

This book has everything. It has mystery, intrigue, love and a whole lot of steam. Oh my can this author spin a tale! Go get this series!

Irons

I've read a lot of books by this author and most of them have been more recent stories within the last couple years but I can honestly say that she has grown considerably as an author. In all honesty, I almost quit on this story because the first half was a bit messy, kinda all over the place and I didn't really get a good feel for the storyline or characters. I'm happy I stuck with this, the second half of this story was so worth it and I developed a connection with the characters, especially Frankie. In the beginning I just thought she was bratty and immature and just kinda reacted without thought or care but I realized there was much more going on than what was on the surface. By the end of the story, I was cheering her on and in total support of her feelings and emotions. Jaxson was a bit different for me as well because I didn't quite understand where the story was going for him at least in the beginning but as the story progresses I could definitely see where everything was headed. I really enjoyed the second half of this story.

Jaxson Irons loses his best friend William in a training accident. After the funeral her goes to his psedo-family to comfort them in the loss of their son. What he doesn't see coming is Will's little sister, Francesca, kissing him and telling him she loves him. He freaks out since she's only 17 and runs. His job relocates him to Florida where he reconnects with a few former team members and friends. He gets the shock of his life 2 years later when he returns to Norfolk to find Francesca on the beach looking like a dream to him. Can he resist her now that she's all grown up? Does she still love him? Find out this and more in this awesome 3 book series!!!

Part 1 review
One thing that is driving me crazy????? How old is Jax??? It's made to see like he is so much older... But how much?? And the back and forth on being together or not went on for too long!!!

Part 2 review
I'm really surprised by all the five star reviews. The first 33% of the book is almost all sex or sleeping. It was ridiculous!!! Then surprisingly the story actually starts and gets really good!!!!! Only to slow down again near the end. Lose some sex please.

Part 3 review
Ending was rushed. Who was really behind Jax's crash?? The bridge incident?? The Bible...what was all in it???

Hhmmmm

Not sure what it is about this story. It was hard to fallow at time the jump between people and what is running through their head is confusing at time and it jumps with no warning.

DNF at 24%. I really wanted to like this story, and the visits down memory lane to times spent in Bar Norfolk and Hot Tuna were cool. But the characters are immature and unlikable and the plot is non-existent.
