Роман «Без пути-следа» о русском парне, родившемся и выросшем в Грузинской ССР, который пытается в 90-е годы получить российское гражданство. Произведение было удостоено премии «Букер — Открытая Россия», но появились и отрицательные отзывы — автора ругали за растянутость; не понравились и «мелкие, безвольные, слабые» герои. И Гуцко, видимо, поддавшись на эту критику, значительно сократил роман, сделав его частью книги «Русскоговорящий». Лишь теперь читатель может познакомиться с романом целиком.

Denis Nikolaevich Gutsko is a Russian writer, a Russian writer, a participant in the Forum of Young Writers of Russia.
In Tbilisi, he graduated from high school. In 1987, he entered the Faculty of Geology and Geography of Rostov University with a degree in Ecology and Applied Geochemistry. He served in the Soviet army, participated as a conscript soldier in the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict. After the collapse of the USSR, for several years he was practically a stateless person. Currently lives in Rostov-on-Don.
