Tracy Lorraine is a M/F and M/M contemporary romance author. Tracy has just turned thirty and lives in a cute Cotswold village in England with her husband, baby girl and lovable but slightly crazy dog. Having always been a bookaholic with her head stuck in her Kindle Tracy decided to try her hand at a story idea she dreamt up and hasn’t looked back since.
Lilly by Tracy Lorraine an angelic five-star read. This is book three in the Angel series but is in fact the sixth book as you read the series as one of the stories come in two parts and there are two novellas’. That being said you can read this as a stand-alone, as Lilly has kept herself separate from the rest of the group for a number of years after something that happened to her sister and has been even more withdrawn after something that happened to her, so we don’t see as much of the gang as we do in the other stories. I have loved the series as a whole, and loved this book so hard. I think if an author can get you to identify with a character in some small way then they have written a believable character. I could understand where Lilly was coming from, I understood how she hid everything from her folks, its hard admitting you were wrong and worrying people won’t see you as the strong person you once were. It was nice in a weird way reading about Lilly jumping at a loud bang, as it makes you realise you aren’t alone. I loved how she pushed Lucas away, it was the most natural reaction. It made the story so much more true and powerful. I loved how everyone has their own lives going on in the background, Taylor the mystery that will hopefully be solved in the next book, and Declan and whom I do hope we hear more from. I loved how the author dealt with her mum’s situation, it didn’t detract from the main story but built a really good background to everything. This is a book that will stay with you, I normally write my reviews after I have read a couple of books so sit and get all my typing done at once so I forget about a book once I have read it and focus on the next, but this book wouldn’t be put down, I was driving along the road thinking of Lilly and a song that reminded me of a long time ago standing in a field with 250,000 people singing along about not looking back in anger, and it made me realise I need to let go of my anger, maybe as everything was fresh after reading this story I don’t know. But I feel that I made a big change today and not many books have had such a profound effect on me. I would happily read Tracy Lorraine’s shopping list, as I think she writes with a relevance to life and a passion that makes every page better than the last. I thought I was a fan, but I have just realised I somehow missed Beth’s story, and feel I may want to catch up before we get to Taylor. If you are looking for a compassionate and thrilling read, you need this book in your life, but be warned if you read as a stand-alone I guarantee that you will go back and buy the rest, so set some time aside or be prepared to give up sleeping for a few days as you won’t want to put them down.
This book is a contemporary/new adult romance with a twist. This is the third book of the Angel series. This is the first book that I have read from this author and I am now a fan. This story can be read as a stand alone. I didn't read the prior books but now the other characters intrigued me. I'll be starting this series from the beginning. The storyline drew me in on the first page. I was hooked on this book from start to finish. I devoured this amazing read in one sitting.
Lilly has not had an easy life. She lost her best friend when she was just a teen. She also had a boyfriend that tore her life apart. Now she is trying to move on because everyone else has. Her life is now all about school and work. She doesn't want any more problems in her life. One day she comes to work to a promotion. She is now to clean a sweet of a very rich and powerful man. She gets a call while she is working and she loses it. She is letting it all out until she hears a throat clearing behind her. Lilly is met face-face with her new gorgeous boss, Lucas Dalton. She feels an instant connection to him that scares her to death. She does something crazy that changes her life. Will Lilly get her dreams to come true or will they be ripped out of her hands again? Will she be able to move on with her future or will her past come back and shatter her once again?
Lucas Dalton is known as a very fierce businessman. He has it all the looks, money, and a caring family. After a hard day at the office he goes into his room to find a beautiful young woman crying. He looks at her and instantly he feels something he has never felt before. He then knows that he wants to get to know this mysterious woman. They end up getting close but fate happens and things get too hard for him. He had a horrible childhood that made his heart close. Will Lilly be the one to open his heart again or will it remain closed?
This book left me speechless. This story has it all romance, suspense, and also forgiveness. These characters will have you hooked to this book. I fell in love with Lilly instantly. She is so strong. She had some very traumatic things happen to her but it never brought her down. She always held her head high no matter what came her way. Lucas is very handsome but deep down he also has a heart. Just like Lilly he also had a traumatic life. I love how treated Lilly. He was so sweet to her but he also made some mistakes. These characters have beautiful chemistry. They have some very steamy scenes that will make your toes curl. My favorite part about this book is the author wrote it in both characters points of views. This makes the characters feel more personal. These characters are very raw and full of emotion. The ending was so beautiful it made me cry. This book will find a place in your heart for along time. I am now going to start this series from the beginning.
Lilly is the third book in the Angel Series by Tracy Lorraine. I adore this series and had been anticipating this books release to finally get to know Lilly so much better. I must admit that I had really high expectations for this story, because lets face it, Ms. Lorraine has managed to really WOW us all with the previous installments in this remarkable series, each one better than the last- so I knew that this one would be unbelievably good- and Ms. Lorraine certainly lived up to all my expectations and then some. I was going to read this book slowly, to savour it, really immerse myself in the story and enjoy the ride- well it didn’t exactly happen the way I had planned- because I opened the book and was immediately seduced by the story. I couldn’t and wouldn’t put it down, reading as quickly as I could, long into the night just to find out what happens. Ms. Lorraine put these characters through the wringer. They didn’t seem to catch a break, and I rode all the highs and lows right alongside them. Ms. Lorraine made them ‘work’ for every ounce of happiness, and I loved every word. There were times that I had my heart in my mouth, terrified about where Ms. Lorraine was taking the story; then other moments where my heart broke for what the characters had been through, wanting so badly to give them both the biggest hugs; then there were the funny laugh out loud moments, usually involving Taylor, that left me grinning like an idiot; but through it all Ms. Lorraine kept me guessing, avidly reading every word in anticipation of how the story would end. I finished the book and finally let out the breath that I had been holding, finally content to put the book down and reflect on what I’d read. Lilly Morrison is a university student studying design, and also working part-time at a local hotel cleaning rooms. Lilly is smart, independent, caring and just a little bit damaged. She left an abusive relationship 8 months earlier and has been plagued by nightmares of her experience ever since. She has tried to move on with her life, and although she is making all the motions, but she’s not really moving forward, all but mentally and emotionally stuck in her situation of 8 months ago. She’s distanced herself a little from her friends and family and watched as they all seem to be moving on with their lives, wishing that it was her. Lilly is ‘promoted’ to cleaning the Penthouse Suite at the hotel for the very particular and demanding owner. He’s known as the King and he has been through quite a few staff members who have failed to live up to his exacting standards. She doesn’t look forward to this new responsibility and thinks that she probably won’t last long anyway. But what she doesn’t realise is that this new assignment is going to change her life in a very unexpected way. Lucas Dalton is a very successful businessman, running his family’s 8 hotels and five restaurants. He’s a bit of a control freak, abrupt, arrogant and rude- and his uptight demeanour has all the staff on tenterhooks whenever he’s around. But behind his fancy suit and bad attitude is a secret past that torments him. When he discovers a beautiful woman in his suite, sobbing her heart out- he should have fired her. But instead she struck a chord with him, leaving him wanting to know so much more about her. But she leaves so abruptly, he doesn’t get a chance. But he won’t let that stop him. He knows what he wants and he’s going to go after it. But Lilly is quick to shut down all his advances- but she obviously doesn’t know just how stubborn or determined he is. He will find a way to break through her defences. What transpires is filled with suspense, drama, angst, romance, passion, melting moments, danger and unexpected surprises that will awe and shock you. You really should read this brilliant story for yourself and find out all the glorious details- you will be sure to love it just as much as I did! I am really excited to read all about Taylor in the next book. I can’t wait!
I did not think it was possible to fall more in love with the Angel series, but it is, and I have fallen more wholeheartedly and helplessly. I was poweless to stop the increasing obsession I had with these books. I hang off every word Tracy Lorraine writes, and it is never enough. Lily is book three in the Angel series by Tracy Lorraine, and is one instalment that will knock your socks off.
Lily has distanced herself from the family since the devastating end to her relationship. She feels somehow it was her fault, and lives with the shame all on her own. Some things are just too raw to share. She is desperately trying to move on with her life, and that is when she meets Lucas. trusting her heart to someone else is incredibly hard for Lily and she struggles with the intensity of her feelings for Lucas. She wants to concentrate on school and the last thing she needs is another broken heart. She is frightened that she won't survive the next one.
On the outside, it sems Lucas has it all. Looks, money and power. But not everything is that rosey looking underneath it all. He is clueless on how to confront the unknown feelings he has for Lily the moments their eyes connect. He has some brutal demons to slay, and cannot begin to enjoy the beauty that surrounds him and Lily until he confronts his nightmares.
You never quite know the impact a Tracy Lorraine story will have on you, only that it will pack a mightier punch that any previous stories. I had many feelings throughtout this book, but the main one was feeling like I was dying inside for Lucas and Lily, only to reach the end of their tale and be happy beyond belief. The emotions were contrasting from one moment to the next. Not a rare feeling when reading the Angel series, but these feelings were magnified significantly while reading Lily. Some books just affect you more profoundly than others, and Lily was that book for me. The impressions Lucas and Lily left me were lasting, scarred and slightly battered, but blinding in their beauty, nonetheless.
Tracy Lorraine penned a perfect continuation of the Angel series. Lily was a masterful tale that had had hurt, anguish, conflict. But the imperect grace and charm that came from these broken pair was a deliciously rare treat to behold. 5 stars
This is my third full length novel from Tracy Lorraine but the sixth book I have read from her and I seriously didn’t think Tracy’s stories, characters and overall writing could get any better but she continues to prove me wrong book after book! I love that this book can be read as a stand-alone, or as part of the series but I most definitely suggest reading this whole series you will not be disappointed! Each book flows beautifully and if you do read them in sequence they flow from one book to another without feeling a gap in the storyline. I thought Book 2 Emma was the best but that was before I read this one! It had me gripped from the first page and I couldn’t put it down, I read it in one sitting and was captivated from start to end.
This book has it all, passion, angst, heart gripping scenes, love, heartache, friendship and incredibly strong characters, it gives you a rollercoaster of emotions that leave your reeling. One minute I was smiling, and laughing and the next I had tears streaming down my face. I also got frustrated, angry and completely and utterly shocked in moments but overall it was the most suspenseful read out of the series and I loved every single minute of it. We get thrown some ups and downs our way and the raw emotion that you can feel from Lucas & Lilly make you truly believe you are there alongside them.
These two characters from the get go was something special. They had a sizzling connection that was deep and real on so many levels, and they both came into each other’s lives at a point when they really needed each other, even when Lucas didn’t realise how much he needed someone. I love the characters that Tracy creates, and I have got to say Lilly and Lucas are my favourite by far they have such depth to them, and are all relatable in some way. But they also connect to each other in a way neither of them expected to do. They have a beautiful connection that just continues to grow through this read even with the ups and downs that get thrown their way, or the pasts they have lived that could change both of their lives before they even get started.
I love that we still get our favourite other characters from previous books in this and that their stories continue and we get idea into how they are getting on. I also love that these books in dual POVs, this has got to be my favourite writing style as I love to connect and find out the character’s emotions and feelings on an individual perspective rather than through what someone else thinks or feels.
This characters in this book compared to previous ones to me feel a lot more real, and I can’t help but be drawn to these two and their undeniable connection, it wasn’t rushed and just felt perfect when reading it. But Tracy also has great secondary characters within this story such as Lilly’s best friend Taylor but also what is the issue between Lilly’s twin Dec & best friend Nicole, I hope this is something we get to see later down the road! This is an incredible series and I cannot wait to see what else Tracy can bring us with this series. I can’t wait to see where Lilly and Lucas’s story continues while we follow the next story in this series.
Seriously do not miss out on this incredible passion filled Series from Tracy Lorraine!
Lilly (Angel Series Book 3) by Tracy Lorraine is part of her Angel series. I highly recommend reading the previous books in this series as this one can be read as a standalone. Reading the previous books will give you background information that will help you understand the other characters in this story and where they have been to where they are now. I loved all of the books in this series and I think you will too. I am not sure how many books of this author's I have read but when I see her books, I don't hesitate to pick it up. I know that I am getting a real adventure with hot, sexy romance along the way. I love her style of writing and the creativity of her characters. They are connectable, lovable and true to life. They just pop right off the page and into your life. They will make you feel like you are right there with them. They will take you on a roller coaster ride of various emotions that will keep you engaged until the last word. I highly recommend this book as I know you will want to see what happens to Lilly and where the rest of the gang is today.
This story is about Lilly and Lucas. They seem to have a connection right from their first kiss. At first Lilly doesn't want to date him because he is her boss but he is not use to hearing the word no. He is persistent until it leaves her no choice but to go. What happens after that will blow your mind. I won't tell as it will give away a major spoiler so you will just have to read this book. I love Lilly's character. She is strong even after what she has been through in the previous relationship. She is a little skittish but with good reason. I felt so bad for her in parts that I cried for her but again, she is strong. I also loved Lucas's character even though at times I wanted to kill him. He is hot, sexy and is use to getting what he wants. He also has a past that he has been hurt so when things start getting to close for him, he runs. Will he ever stop running and just let down his walls? Will she trust him enough to let down her walls? Will they ever find their HEA? This has been one of the harder reviews I have written because one little thing will spoil it for you because the book is that great. You will just have to pick this book up today and find out! This book and the rest of the series has had me hooked from the first word. This author will keep you engaged until the end and pull you in from the first word. Find out what Lilly and Lance's story is, you won't regret it!
*****5 stars***** Lilly (Angel Book #3) by Tracy Lorraine
Lilly is another great addition to Tracy Lorraine’s Angel book series that I give 5 stars. I've enjoyed reading the other stories from this series and was happily surprised by just how much I enjoyed reading about Lilly and Lucas. It's like this series keeps getting better and better. I completely fell head over heels in lust and love with Lucas’ character.
Lilly was pretty much ruined by her awful ex, both emotionally and physically, but she was doing what was necessary to move forward. Lucas also had a pretty awful childhood that he's trying to put completely out of his head. Anytime there are characters that are jaded and finding it hard to trust and show vulnerability I am hooked by the idea that there's even a slim chance their hearts can be mended by another person.
The story was written wonderfully, showing how scarred both Lilly and Lucas are. The character development was great, really allowing the reader to feel the pain and the struggle that both main characters went through. I felt myself apprehensive and worried for them as they seemed to let their guard down even in a small way.
I felt a connection with Lilly’s character and the line where Lucas described her by saying “she cares less about what she says and it's nice to know she's not holding anything back, saying what she really thinks” just made me appreciate him more. Even the lines in the book that made me giggle, did so because of how well worded they were. “Her scent mixes with the cleaning products she’s been using and it makes me mouth water” was a line that made me laugh, but also connected with me in the way that we all know that smells (maybe not cleaning products for me personally) can trigger our emotions and memories.
This book is an excellent installment to the Angel series and the story sucked me in. I guess the book could actually be read as a stand-alone, but why would you do that? Seriously, all of Tracy Lorraine’s books are so great. A character like Lucas, that is serious, buttoned-up and all business on the outside, but what's left normally unseen is the tattooed, sexy, broken, tough guy that is afraid of love. I give this book 5 stars and Tracy Lorraine’s writing in this series is great.
Lilly (Angel Series Book 3) By: Tracy Lorraine 5 out of 5 stars
The story Lilly (Angel Series Book 3) by Tracy Lorraine is a contemporary/new adult/romance book. Can two people who are falling in love with each other overcome the scars and fears left by the past in order to find a future together? That is the question that both Lilly and Lucas have to answer in this wonderful love story. It is the next book in the Angel Series. I have read every single one of the stories so far and I absolutely loved them all. The author has created stories and characters that are unforgettable. This book is about Lilly and Lucas. Lilly is such as wonderful character. She is a strong person to have survived what she has and is now trying to move forward with her life. Meeting and falling for Lucas was not in her plans. Will Lilly come to trust Lucas with her heart? In Lucas’s life appearance is important. Even if it is not who he truly is. This mystery man has a past that haunts him and he only trusts a few. Now Lucas finds himself having feelings for Lilly that he can’t ignore. Lucas has built barriers up to keep him safe. Will Lilly be the one to break through them? What does the future hold for Lucas and Lilly? Will they get their happy ending? This is a book that had my emotions going up and down. I got angry when reading of what Lilly and Lucas had been through, happy when reading of their love for each other. There are quite a few secondary characters and if you have read the other books in the series some will be familiar. This book had me keeping my fingers and toes crossed for this two to get their HEA! This story pulled me in and tugged at my heart. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. This book does describe a couple of scenes of violence and adult situations. Lilly and Lucas’s love story is very hot and steamy. It would be recommended for those 18 years of age or older.
Lilly by Tracy Lorraine is a five star read that is truly a must read. I love reading stories that pull me in right away and the story of Lucas and Lilly is no different. He has a past that he likes to keep hidden and he hasn’t allowed anyone to get too close. She has been hurt in the worst way, her trust completely broken by someone who said that they cared. Both of these people are getting through life until an unexpected moment when they meet.
Lilly is working cleaning hotel rooms while she is finishing up with university. She just wants to do her job complete school and move on from there. She is determined to not let her past affect her future. She is promoted to cleaning the room of her boss/owner of the hotel, Lucas. She is not thrilled at all about it because he seems to be very difficult man to please. But, unfortunately the first day she is cleaning she gets great news, which makes her very sad, sitting down for a good cry. Lucas walks in to find this truly amazing woman sitting in his place crying, not knowing what to do, he quietly watches her. Lucas has a past that he is working to forget or not to allow it to define who he is. There is something about Lilly that draws him in; he wants to get to know her. But she doesn’t want to go out with him, which makes her more intriguing than before.
What happens when he starts to fall for her and his fear of his past starts sneaking up? Does she give him a chance to break her heart or will he be the one that heals it?
Amazing story, the author does a wonderful job in bringing the reader in, I read this book in one sitting. Get it, read it, enjoy it, I highly recommend the story of Lilly and Lucas.
Lilly By Tracy Lorraine 5 stars! I always look forward to reading book by this author and have loved this series so far – Lilly was no exception. I went through so many emotions whilst reading this book. I have to say this may be my favourite so far! I loved Lilly and Lucas. The chemistry that they had from that very first meeting was hot and undeniable. I loved the push and pull of their initial attraction especially from Lilly’s side. It was clear that her past had had a major effect on her but Lucas was so kind and caring towards her. There were parts of this story where I could empathise with exactly how Lilly was feeling and I think the author did an amazing job of making sure this was true to life. I loved that both Lilly and Lucas had their own demons to work through and that they tried to do it together. There were parts of this story that completely broke my heart – I certainly shed a few tears at one point. I really admired Lilly and her attitude to certain points but I couldn’t help but have a soft spot for Lucas. He was definitely not what I was expecting. As with all the books I have read by this author it was excellently written, had a great pace and flowed seamlessly. Her books are always a joy to ready and I always get excited when she realises a new book. I definitely have to make time to read them as I know that once I start one of her books there’s no way that I will be putting it down until I read that very last word. I cannot recommend Lilly (and the whole Angel series) enough and it definitely deserves the 5 stars that I give it!!
Lilly #3 in Angel series written by Tracy Lorraine 5 stars
If you are into superheroes...businessman by day, bad boy by night this is the book for you. I have loved getting to know these characters throughout this series. I'm looking forward to a few more of my favorites getting their chance at a book...wink wink...fingers crossed. I read this book straight through. When I first started to read it I had a oh no moment...I thought it was going to be a typical girl meets wealthy boss, instant attraction...I couldn't have guessed further from the truth. I was thrilled to see each character being strong willed, a little stubborn, leary of letting go of past demons and making them hesitate to want to get involved, sticking to their gut feelings when they felt they were being mistreated. You laugh, cry, cheer for them, want to kick someone to the curb, pray for forgiveness, want to know their secrets, swoon and sit at the edge of your seat. This book keeps you guessing and wanting to get to know each character more and more. Will they find what they are looking for?
“I want a tattooed bad boy who is actually the biggest sweetheart ever under all the ink and the scruffy, brooding image.”
“She’s too good for me. Too beautiful, too kind, too caring...I’m too selfish to walk away from her. I know I’m going to hurt her.”
The beginning pulls you right in and breaks your heart. We jump ahead a few months to Lilly working as a cleaner, she has just been promoted to clean The King’s room and she is super nervous. While cleaning the room she gets a call from a friend that sends her into tears.
Lucas walks into his room and watches Lilly, she’s beautiful and crying. At first he is slightly irritated however there is something about this woman that draws him in. He pursues Lilly to the point that she finally gives in to his request to go on a date.
My body wanted her; my head knew it was wrong.
As they grow closer they both continue to fight their demons from the past. They promise to confide in eachother, soon. As we learn what they have both endured your heart breaks for them. There is a big twist that sends Lucas into a tailspin, will he do the right thing or run away?
I loved this story, reading about these two broken people finding each other and helping heal was great. There are several surprises and a part that nearly gave me heart failure My emotions were all over the place. The secondary characters were great, we do get a HEA. In the epilogue, Tracy Lorraine leads us into the next book in the series. I can’t wait to read Taylor’s story next. If you're looking for a great read, than the Angel series is what you are looking for. 1-click and get started today.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Lilly – The Angel Series Book 3* - by Tracy Lorraine – 5 Stars
*This is listed as Book 3 in the series but it is actually the 6th story in the series as it is written. This can absolutely be read as a stand-alone, but the whole series is really good and I think you will enjoy knowing the other characters in the order they were written. This is Lilly’s story. She has been through quite a bit in her life, much of which she hasn’t told many due to events that have taken place in her family. Lilly thinks she is protecting the ones she loves all the while hurting herself by keeping secrets buried deep down. This is also Lucas’s story. He also has a past that he hasn’t shared with many and Lilly can see beyond the perfect hair and expensive suits. Together, these two can take on the world. I really enjoyed this contribution to The Angel Series. While reading Lilly and Lucas’s story, we even got to revisit the other characters we’ve previously read about. The story flows well and evokes emotions that I wasn’t expecting. This story was written with so much compassion and understanding that I was taken along for the emotional journey right along with the characters. It’s a quick read that flowed from beginning to end. I have not been disappointed by any of the stories in this series and look forward to meeting Declan and Taylor in the future. I absolutely recommend this whole series
Lilly is the third book in the Angel series by Tracy Lorraine. This is my fifth book by this author.
Lilly Morrison is college student working as a cleaner in a hotel to get her life back together. When she hears news that a friend has given birth, she starts crying in the bathroom she is suppose to be cleaning.
Her boss, Lucas, runs the hotel and it is also his hotel she is cleaning, asks if she is okay. She tries to leave quickly but before she does she kisses him without thinking.
After a few days of avoiding each other, Lucas shows up at her apartment and invites her to dinner. Reluctantly she agrees. While they do sleep together that night, Lilly regrets in the morning, scared she will lose her job. Eventually the two talk and decide to see where the relationship will take them.
Another book in the series that is a rollercoaster ride.
“I just feel like everyone is moving on with their lives. All this amazing stuff is happening to them but I’m stuck.”
I can relate to that cause I feel like that's what's happening with me. Eventually everything came together for Lilly.
Lilly and Lucas both have haunted pasts they have to come to terms with in order to move forward and I loved every second of their journey. The two come from two separate worlds but were able to make it work. Such an emotional and inspiration read.
That cliffhanger makes me so excited for Taylor’s story.
Lilly is the third book in The Angel Series by Tracy Lorraine in her Angel series. Just like the other books in this series, I liked the fact that they each flowed on from one another with each of the other main characters interwoven throughout. I laughed and cried, feared and loved right along with Lilly, our main character in this book, as she suffered through so much, her heartbreak and loss hit hard. What she finds is the one thing she needs but getting there is not always as easy as it should be or could be. What she needs could be right in front of her face. What she needs could be her perfect fit. What she could have is her happily ever after. What happens when your Boss is not what he seems? What happens when the one you love rips your heart out? What happens when demons of the past haunt you? Can demons be left behind? What happens when love is all you need?
I really enjoy Tracy’s writing style and the beautiful and wonderful characters she creates and the amazing world that she brings to life. Make sure you read the other books in the series before this one. You will not be disappointed in this new book in the Angel series, so sit back, relax and enjoy. I can’t wait to see what Tracy has in store for us with future books.
Lilly by Tracy Lorraine is the sixth book in the Angel series and a five star novel. Typically by the time I get to the sixth book, I am tired of the series and just reading it because I feel like I have to. That is so not the case with the Angel series. I could hardly wait to get my hands on this new book. Even though this book is a standalone, as a reader, you will get much more out of the book if you read more of the series. Lilly is the younger sibling of Emma and a small part in previous books. The more we learn about this family and the struggles they go through, the more I can picture myself as a part of this family. They have many kids they have ‘adopted’ over the years, just friends of their kids that have not had the best upbringing. They pull them in and make sure that everyone feels wanted and like they have a place in the family. Although Lilly feels like she can’t quite connect except for her twin Declan, her family still loves and cares for her as if she was mentally there with them the whole time. As she works through her struggles of dealing with the death of her sister and then the craziness that was her ex boyfriend, she finds her place in this world when she meets Lucas and finally lets herself go. This love affair will both break your heart and mend it all at once. This is a must read.
Lilly by Tracy Lorraine is the next installment in the Angel series. I have enjoyed this series, have read them all, and will continue reading them as long as she continues writing them! I do like the style of writing, how it alternate between point of views, with one chapter being Lilly, and the next Lucas. The characters are realistic, and go through realistic events in life. Their relationships are built very strongly, and I like how she always has supporting characters, each with their own backgrounds and details. I give this book a 5 star. I like it, but its not original, and that is my only complaint. It was too much like 50 Shades, with innocent college girl falling for the mega millionaire hot guy, with a troubled past, and mommy issues. However, I feel like this was a better version, and was far better than 50 Shades. I love the characters and have a love hate relationship with the way Tracy ends all her books. They are ALWAYS cliff hangers, making me long for the next story in the series. Unfortunate for me, and other readers, having to wait until the next book comes out, however, I think that's what makes her such a good author. She can keep the story going on to the next character, and keep us readers hooked, coming back for more.
Lilly, Angel #3 by Tracy Lorraine. This is the 3rd book in the series, I have loved them all and of course this book is no different!!! This is Lilly and Lucas’ story.
All Lilly is trying to do is, work and finish her studies at university. When she get a promotion at work, she is sure that her job will end just as fast as it began. The owner of the hotel is known for getting rid of cleaners extremely fast. Her first day on the new job, she gets news that has her shedding tears and that is exactly how Lucas finds her sitting in his suite. The attraction between these two is immense. Lucas had an very bad childhood and he never expected his life to ever be as great as it has turned out. He was blessed with amazing, caring parents. Can he open his heart and let Lilly in? Will the both be what the other needs? Or are their worlds too opposite to ever be able to come together?
I absolutely loved this book right along with every other one in this series. I can not wait to see what we will be getting next!!!!
Every book by Tracy I say is my favorite and this one has taken over my all time favorite book. This book/series will have you hooked from the first chapter. I am so in love with this series. This book was a real emotional rollercoaster. I was in tears at the very beginning of this book. One minute I was crying, the next I your gasping. I was in love with Lucas almost from the first meeting him. Lucas is seriously panty dropping HOT!! I mean who doesn't love a guy that sends you food?
Lucas is Lilly's boss and forbidden to fall in love with him. Lucas never lets anyone in. Lilly is still trying to get over a bad relationship. But can one dinner lead to something more? Can they both get passed their past and move on?
I can't recommemd this enough, go get this series.. MUST READ!!!!!! ( I recommend reading from the beginning.) (less) not set
Bravo!! I think I am a little in love with both of these two. Finding Lucas was definitely not part of the plan. But when he walks in on Lilly crying when she is supposed to be cleaning she gets to him. They both have a past neither one wants to share so things get a little dicy. There are plenty of surprises and even a few laughs, but mostly we get to see two lost souls find a new reason to live and love. These two do all the right things but life just won't let them be. This is a story full of warmth and emotions and some real life as they fumble around with this thing called love. Like the other Angel's we have met things haven't been easy for Lilly but her world just got a whole lot better with Lucas in it.
Lilly by Tracy Lorraine was such an awesome read. To say I loved it is a complete and total understatement.
The characters were so lovable. Lucas seemed like such a scary person in the very beginning but, once you get to know him, you can't help but fall in love.
Both Lucas and Lilly are two damaged souls. Damaged more then the average person. I haven't read any of the other books YET so I'm not sure if things are explained about Lilly's genetic issue.
This book had it all. There was the steamy scenes, the sad moments and the funny parts. The whole puppy training pad part had me giggling.
Also I'm confused. Who is Beth? Did I miss something or was she mentioned in a previous book? And I want to see Nicole and Declan together. I'm thinking the reason they dislike eachother so much is from something that has happened between them years before.
Tracy Lorraine has done it again with Lilly, book #3 in her Angel Series (really 6 since Molly has 2 parts and there are 2 novellas also). After a tragic incident with her ex Lilly has pulled away from everyone who loves her. Her life has now become all about finishing school and work, rinse and repeat. Until one day she is given a promotion at the hotel she is a maid at. Lilly will now be cleaning the suites of the owner “King” Lucas Dalton. Lucas has a reputation of being a tough boss, who likes everything in his world neat and orderly with no surprises. His world is turned upside down though when he walks into his rooms and stumbles upon Lilly, his maid, sitting on his couch in tears, he is at a loss with the feelings that she brings out in him from the first second their eyes lock on one another. She is a mystery that he wants to solve if she will let him, but Lucas has secrets of his own that may not allow him to get close to Lilly. This series just keeps getting better and better, while this can be read as a standalone I do recommend reading all the books in order. I felt so bad for Lilly and Lucas, these characters just ripped my heart out, and I couldn’t stop the tears when their past stories came out. While some of the choices that were made weren’t the best at the time you could understand why they were made. It felt as if I was there with these two as they were going through the rollercoaster that was their story. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Lorraine has coming next, I don’t know if my poor heart can take it! But I will continue reading them.
Lilly: Angel by Tracy Lorriane was such an awesome read. The two main characters are Lilly and Lucas. Lilly is an interior design college student who works as a cleaner for a luxury hotel. Lucas is the hotel owner. Lucas is known as the scary OCD boss and no one wants to clean his room. After Lucas fired several girls Lilly is made to go clean his room. Once Lucas meets Lilly he is hooked. Lilly is immediately attracted to Lucas but she does not want to cross that line. Lilly and Lucas each have very tragic dark pasts that keep them from truly being themselves with each other. Can they get over their own pasts to have a future together? I read this book in one sitting. I could not put the book down. Of course there is a HEA/HFN. There are also many side characters that make this book awesome. I give this book 5 stars!
Tracy does it again another 5 Star. I can't recommemd this enough, go get this series.. MUST READ!!!!!! ( I recommend reading from the beginning.)
This book was absolutely amazing! The story of Lily was so heartbreaking and real that it kept me on the edge of my seat wanting more and more! Lily and Lucas are two people that you wouldn’t normally think about putting together, him being the handsome rich jerk and her being the cute younger cleaning lady but their chemistry was abundantly clear the second Lucas laid eyes on her. Getting to watch them fall in love and go along with the twists of life and adding in both of their separate dark pasts, made this story a defiantly must read. Now I can’t wait for the next one, Taylor!
Lilly Angel Series Book 3 By Tracy Lorraine ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ This is not a standalone, as it is book 3 in this romance novel.
Lilly has had to put her life back together, after escaping her abusive ex. Lucky to have lived through so much, she is doing well for herself. She has gone back into college and has a part time job. When she gets a promotion at work, her world is turned upside down. Now she has choices to make. Should she follow her heart, or her mind?
Lucas is a smart businessman who knows what he needs to do, to get the job done. He may look together on the outside in his fancy suits. But on the inside, he struggles daily to keep up that persona. Having lived such a terrible childhood and survived, he still feels guilt for those left behind. Never wanting to get involved with anybody, now he has found the one he should stay away from. Can he do it?
Tracy Lorraine has taken these two very different yet the same people and put them in this wonderful story. While not everything is wonderful, it still has the suspense and fall outs. Her story still comes together in a HEA. This book grabs you on page 1 and runs til the end and you're sitting there thinking. “What! I Want More.” That is how I felt at the end anyway. If you have read the others in this series, you will find this one to be even better. Looking forward to her next book I this series.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book for my honest opinions.
Another great book by Tracy Lorraine. This Angel Series is very very good. The stories are well written, interesting and intriguing. The characters are so realistic you could almost believe that this whole series was in fact a true collection of real stories. A must have for anyone's reading or for their library.
