I thought this might be a real Spider-Man book. Alterall, I loved the movie and the comics years ago. Instead this was a terrible little rip off of a good franchise!

some of the abbreviations were a little hard to follow but over all a really good script. some small stuff like phrases were definitely changed in the movie, probably do to ad libbing, but it still had 100% of the into the spiderverse feel!!

What it's about: Miles Morales is a smart kid who finds himself getting bitten by a radioactive spider, which gives him super powers. If this story seems familiar, it's because it's meant to - this is the story of a Spider-Man. It's also the story of five other Spider-Men (and -Women), and how they all ended up in the same place.

What I thought: Although the story sets up some very interesting ideas, it doesn't give much follow-through to some of them. This is a pretty surface-level action story that has so much potential to be something more interesting and deeper. I like the ideas they were working with. I think this would make an OUTSTANDING book series. And it's supposed to be an incredible movie, in terms of the visuals. But this was only "meh" for me as a script.

Why I rated it like I did: There are a lot of elements here that definitely would work better on the screen than on the page. Also, I felt like the story was really rushed.

I can't wait to see the film now after reading the script! This was the first movie script I have ever read, and I was really impressed with how succinct the description was throughout. The dialogue and running jokes were phenomenal as well. You can read the whole script online for free at: http://origin-flash.sonypictures.com/...

If you love action-packed stories with multiverse twists, character growth, and superhero vibes, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is a must-read! This story follows Miles Morales, a teenager who is thrust into the role of Spider-Man while also navigating the struggles of self-discovery and learning to trust himself. When Kingpin’s powerful collider pulls multiple versions of Spider-Man from alternate dimensions into Miles’ world, he must face both personal fears and the challenges of saving the multiverse. The story combines action, heart, and powerful lessons about teamwork, courage, and finding your own path.
One of the book’s greatest strengths is the way the author develops its characters. Miles’ journey from being unsure and nervous about his new powers to becoming a confident, capable hero is both inspiring and relatable. The other Spider-Man versions, like Peter B. Parker and Gwen Stacy, bring unique personalities and perspectives that add depth to the story. The use of foreshadowing throughout the book builds tension and anticipation, allowing readers to connect with the characters' struggles while learning about their journeys. The author does a great job balancing action, character development, and emotional growth, making the story compelling from beginning to end.
The setting plays an important role in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Miles’ urban environment reflects his personal struggles and adds context to his journey of self-discovery. The multiverse itself, with its different versions of New York and alternate dimensions, builds on the story’s tension and emphasizes the protagonist’s personal growth. Additionally, the author’s word choice sets the mood beautifully, balancing high-energy action with emotional moments that connect readers to Miles’ journey.
I highly recommend Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse to readers of all ages. Whether you’re a long-time Spider-Man fan, a multiverse adventure lover, or someone looking for a story that explores identity and courage, this book has something for everyone. The story is exciting, heartfelt, and a fantastic reminder of the importance of believing in yourself. If you’re in need of an inspiring and fun read, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is the perfect choice. Don’t miss out

I listened to this book via Audible.

This book is the novelization of the fantastic film Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse. If you haven't seen you, you absolutely should! The book does a solid job of retelling the story, although without the amazing visuals you don't quite get the full picture. If it hadn't been part of a sale on Audible, I probably wouldn't have picked it up, but it was, and I enjoyed experiencing the story yet again. If you're a Spider-Fan and want to hang out with Peter and Miles while doing other things, this is a good way to do it!

This book was pretty good for a kids book. I clearly did not remember the plot of the movie because I forgot that the uncle was the bad guy. But of course all spider men are responsible for a loved one's death. They try to convince Miles they understand, but he doesn't believe them. Anyway, it's hard to describe a movie battle as a book chapter, but they did a fairly decent job I guess. It was cute.

Literal masterpiece. One of the best superhero script, and was made into one of the best animated film ever. It understood the mythos and ideologies of Spider-Man, stayed true to its source materials, while at the same time stood strong as its own new thing. And it is amazing, spectacular, sensational.. and.. you know.
