I read this as research for an assignment for Film School. It's a very nice book and in some ways it changed the way I see the western genre. It certainly made me understand it way more and it offers a deep look into the history of a genre as old as cinema itself. That being said, as a negative of this book, I have to mention the fact that it's probably gonna be very uninteresting and possibly boring, not just for everyone who isn't interested in westerns, but for everyone who isn't interested in westerns in an academical way. Still, I found it very enjoyable and I'm probably gonna use it again for future assignments, if needed.
