Freaky, messed up hybrid alien whose hobbies include making money, cracking skulls, and eating chocolate, seeks a night of wild fun with no strings attached. Curves and cuteness are welcome, but no one gets to sleep over. Love isn't worth the hassle, no matter how sweet it tastes.

Avel has always had a chip on his broad shoulders. Not comfortable with his alien-human hybrid status, he's never felt like he fits in. Humans think he's odd and Dackins think he's a weakling. He spends his days debt collecting and his nights drinking to forget.

Having spent a few weeks on Prodigy, Avel's thinking this could make a decent home. Everyone's more accepting of difference on the space station. Then Holly wanders into his life, with her big smile, killer curves, and amazing chocolate, and everything changes. Avel sees the chance for some fun, but Holly wants so much more.

Holly Lipinski's life is all about chocolate. She'd bathe in the stuff if she could afford to. But Holly is terrible with money, and she desperately needs some if she's ever going to get her chocolate store open. As a last resort, she turns to a Dackin moneylender. The interest rates aren't great, but her credit rating is worse.

Thrilled to get her loan approved, Holly has a celebratory drink in the Enchanted Captain and meets a sexy alien with a hint of danger about him. He sweeps her off her feet with long, intense kisses, and the promise of a wild ride. But Holly is a safety girl, burned by a traitorous ex-boyfriend and determined never to be hurt again. She doesn't give her heart easily, and is never interested in one-night stands, no matter how tempting the package.

Although she tries to stay away, Holly is drawn to Avel, even though she senses he's not looking for a relationship. There's something about this mysterious alien that she has to learn more about. But her past fears hold her back, and she resists his alluring pull.

A fight over cupcakes, a star storm that almost kills them, and an unwelcome reminder of Holly's past ensure the road to love is never easy. Can a human with a broken heart and an alien hybrid with an attitude really be right for each other?

Will Holly trust Avel enough to let him into her life and make her feel beautiful? And will Avel discover that there's more to life than making money? Join Avel and Holly on their romantic, fun adventure in space and learn just how powerful love can be.

This is book 9 in the My Single Alien sci-fi romance adventure universe. It's full of lots of messy action, a whole lot of alien love (including scenes with melted chocolate and cream), and a happy ever after!

What a great read with a powerful message .

Holly is a chocolatier with a dream of opening her own store. She lives and works on a space station frequented by all kinds of Alien beings which is great for her as she is a great cook working in a diner on the station where she gets to experiment all types of different dishes from other worlds.
She also has a major problem. Her credit score is the Pitts and she must apply for a loan if she is to achieve her goal. Having had a relationship with a real douche bag, she barely has any confidence in herself or her products.
Enters Avel, a Declin loan shark was abandoned by his father shortly after birth , got through the first years being bullied and picked on by other classmates and supposedly friends because of his bi-racial heritage. He now, has his own business as a money lender at high rates interest where he excels at collecting money owed him through less than friendly means.

The author has created masterfully a tale where two persons lacking self confidence and/or respect due to no fault of theirs help each other overcome their respective shortcomings . Very well written I not only highly recommend this book but rate it 5 Stars

A sweet love story with depth, this really is a sweet love story, no pun intended. Holly is a chocolatier and Azel is a money lender/loan shark. They both have pasts that make them feel unworthy, so they're always trying to find a reason not to be together. But they can't fight fate...this story shows how two people can't see what's obvious to everyone else, but the journey they take to love is totally worth the time it takes you to read this book. I loved how Avel helped Holly at the food fair, but their misunderstandings were a little repetitive but totally realistic.

Omg this is another awesome addition to the single Alien series. You won't be disappointed. This book is both thrilling and entertaining, and the characters are perfect for each other even when they think they are not. You won't be able to put this book down until the very last page grab a copy and fins out for yourself.

Avel

I love the books written by Arcadia Shield. They are always filled with interesting and intriguing storylines. It's always amazing to me at the imagination that some of these authors have. Whenever a new one comes out I always add it to my TBR list immediately and I try to get to it ASAP.

Cute

This story is just cute. Even though it didn't really revolve around My Single Alien, it still took place on Prodigy station. It was an over all cute and good story.
