The world is stampeding towards the brink as the multiple monster attacks on multiple Cities stretches the Hero Association's heroes and the local security and police forces. In a City stadium Saitama in disguise (wearing a wig :D) continues his look at martial arts as he one-punches his way through the Super Fight tournament. This series is now hitting it's peak as as the antagonist, the Monster Association casts a threat of jeopardy to all, as Saitama's boredom and off-key humour continues to entertain. A firm 7.5 out 12, Four Star read.

I really enjoyed seeing Saitama’s fights in the martial arts tournament. I’m glad that we’re getting to see more of him fighting now. He currently feels like a side character in his own series though, so I’m hoping that he’ll become the main character again soon.

It’s still a lot of chaos with everything going on with the martial arts tournament and the monster association, but these two events finally interact in this volume. I just wish Saitama was there when these two events intercepted each other.

The extra story in this volume was super cute and wholesome.

SUPER FAST REVIEW:
I’m beginning to have mixed thoughts on the series now. I mean, it has some great action, good humor and the art is actually getting better and better.
Unfortunately the story feels so repetitive at this point and I’m beginning to lose interest in the characters.
At least that dumb fight competition subplot ended (I think) in this volume so that might help volume 14 be better.
Yeah, I didn’t dislike it but this series is definitely not NEARLY as good as it was in the beginning.

3/5

EVERYTHING LOOKS SO REAL it’s like I’m watching a black and white anime. All the fights taking place in this volume are so much hype.
WOW that last chapter 😮 Amai Mask 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

What can I say? This manga is just fun, fun, fun. It may be more of the same from the last volume, but the stakes keep getting higher and higher. I love being played with. :)

Amazing volume. This was action-packed from cover to cover. The giant octopus story arc helped show some hilarious moments with heroes that we had not seen yet (Flashy Flash). It also put a lot more emphasis on the power of espers and makes everything look so ridiculous and simple.

And then there's the "if-you-can't-beat-them-join-them" story arc with the council of swordmasters. This pushes the Garou sub-plot a bit further and hints at some awesome fights to come.

The tournament also comes to an end in this volume and gives a brilliant and priceless finale that had me laughing out loud. Loved the references to Dragon Ball with that story arc, especially with Suiryu's character.

The ending finally puts dives into the main plotline. I have a feeling that we might not yet see what the monster association is all about, but at least we're about to get into some serious business.

Did I mention that the artwork is phenomenal too? The creativity is amazing, and the action sequences couldn't have been done any better. Splendid!

DUDE! GOOD! SO GOOD!
I was cracking up almost the whole time at the end.

The story is finally going somewhere; there was so many action scenes; the panels were beautiful; and there was SAITAMA. Bout time lol Though I do love my side characters Metal Bat and Genos. Missed them in this one; I only realized that as I wrote this though. lol

There was a few gruesome parts in the beginning as it should be since there are monsters. Still, it was quite a bit disturbing. Gross. I even said so a few times. lol oh well. Overall I think it was perfect, and the build up in the story was great. Lol And the super hero names always give me a good laugh—Smileman, Flashy Flash. 😂

Pages without Saitama are less fun and interesting. That is a fact when you read One Punch Man. This volume is half setting up the next arc (the lages without Saitama) and half the tournament conclusion where we see Charanko being, well, Saitama.

This tournament arc and the hero hunter plot felt really underwhelming. But my hopes are higher for what ONE and Murata have in store for their readers. So yeah. Hell yeah.

This volume marks a significant high point in the series as Saitama emerges as an unbeatable hero, solidifying his status in the story's universe.

The narrative reaches new heights of excitement and intrigue. The volume is filled with high-stakes battles and character developments that keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

That was good. We finally get the Championship bout in the fight tournament. The fight was just a lot of our hero looking board and worried about losing that stupid wig. The monsters made "Their Move" again this time for sure. This volume was more focused and more interesting.

I do have to say that watching our hero not win a fight with one punch was an interesting development.

This was a return to form for this series and while the first section of the book was not focused on One Punch, the book finally returned us to the tournament action. As Mangas go, this is one of my favourite and while it is at times, quite irritating to read, mainly due to to tge floating characters. I must admit waiting for the library is annoying and when I'm a few behind, it's just a long wait for the next books. One Punch is still relevant and one of the better chatacters in the manga world.

My next book I have lined is The Cirle by Damon Clark. Action Lab Comics, looks interesting and was part of my collection.

Starts off with Flashy flash annoying an octopus monster and ends with Amai mask gearing up to join the battle. Finally the wig comes off. Suiryu had no one but himself to blame. He was cocky, arrogant and bad mouthed the heroes. Still he got off light. Atomic samurai was pretty cool. It still amazes me that Muman rider is still fighting.

I just can't get over this amazing artwork. It can be easy to overlook because the storyline has become pretty engrossing, but then you see Flashy Flash stab a giant octopus in one of its many eyes and it's just jaw-dropping. SO cool!

Love that the final fight was just Saitama trying to make sure his wig was on correctly. Riveting.

Saitama in the competition thing was hilarious of course. I didn't really remember what was going on with the rest of the heroes, but the turning into monsters thing should prove interesting!

Saitama is still in the running for the martial arts tournament as he continues to defeat his opponents easily to his boredom. Luckily his final opponent is really strong but when he tries teaching Saitama about the follies of being a hero you have to see who teaches who before it is over. Also in this volume heroes are being recruited and changed by the Monster Association, certain martial artists are taking steps to handle the hero hunter problem, monster attacks are on a rise including the fighting arena that Saitama is presently at, and MmMmm... giant octopus ball(see Takoyaki.) Oh and as a bonus chapter we get to see Amai Mask in action as monsters dare attack his concert. :)

My favorite part of the book probably has to be Saitama's take away of what martial arts are and the ridiculous effect of his opponents attack after he was accidentally bounced off Saitama while he spun around. :)

The arrival of Amai mask was a welcome addition to the story.

I'm looking forward to reading more of this story, but there are no more English translations. I suppose I will have to transition to the Japanese. Pleasure becomes study, but I really want to read the rest and I don't want to wait.

At the beginning of battle between Saitama and Suiryu, the commentator was introducing both of them. And Suiryu was drawn as usual drawing, but Saitama was drawn in very rounded and easy way. So Saitama seems very weak person.

As usual this continues to be a fun series. I'm glad to see the end of the martial arts tournament though because I think that was starting to drag.
