God has a purpose for your life, and every action or event that occurs within it has been used to make that purpose a reality. The story of Esther appears to be a series of coincidences strung together to deliver the Jews from certain death. However, God selected Esther for a particular purpose at a particular time. Discover your own pathway to purpose through learning principles on providence as Tony Evans takes us on a journey of epic proportions.

Tony Evans did a great job with this book, he gave examples how our lives can be more like queen Esther and how to trust God if we already haven’t known how to. We had a great and fun time at church doing this study.
Tony Evans Pathways: From Providence to Purpose was an excellent read. I enjoyed navigating the book of Esther and Dr. Tony Evans teachings of God's sovereign intervention and providence. **** Using the story of Esther to show God's governance in our lives, even in the smallest of details, was a beautiful reminder to keep the proper perspective as we move to make decisions in our lives. **** I also loved taking a deeper look at the qualities of Esther. Her faithfulness, obedience, and bravery even in the hardest of places is something to be admired. Esther ensured she maintained a kingdom perspective through soliciting the advice of a dependable partner, Mordecai, and seeking God through fasting and prayer. The acts of wisdom Esther portrays shows her willingness to step out in faith, allow God to lead the way, and bring about the purpose for Esther's life. **** Pretty powerful stuff. I would definitely recommend for a personal read or small group. A study guide is available.

I really enjoyed this book. I think that everyone should this book in order to understand God's purpose for our lives. After reading this book, I realized following Christ requires surrendering every aspect of you to Him, so that His will is fulfilled.
This was a great dive into the Book of Esther & gave deep insights & understanding of the subtext of the story. After reading Tony's study guide, "For such a time as this" has even greater depth, as does the entire story. Highly recommend.
This book is is a game changer! If you take this book to heart, then it has the potential to eliminate all worry from your life. Dr. Evans does an amazing job of explaining the Book of Esther from the perspective of God and then goes on to explain why He is worthy of our trust. I believe that this book should be required reading for all Christians.
This book helped me to see past areas of deep disappointment and widen my perspective to know that as long as I am on God's pathway, that is my purpose !!!!!!!!(and my purpose is not in anything I may have lost.
If you have ever wondered why your life has seemed difficult or filled with heartbreak, this is a tremendous book to read. Following the story of Esther, Tony Evans points out that nothing in her life happened by coincidence or chance. Everything was orchestrated by God. So for me, I took a look at my past to see where God had been moving things in my life. Every hurt and hard time has shaped me into who I am today and pushed me further along the path that God has laid out for me. I have wondered for some years what my purpose in life is, now that I'm divorced, I'm retired, my kids are grown and I no longer have the responsibilities I had before. This book gave me a new outlook on how I got to this point and where God is leading me now.
