The only thing Lindy wanted on her Mediterranean cruise was to enjoy the sights and get away from the memories of her ex. She brought her cousin along as a deterrent for all the men, but when he ends up sea sick and stays in the cabin, Lindy is left to her own devices. When a handsome stranger with a sexy Spanish accent runs into her one night, she’s surprised he’s not as overbearing as some of the other men she’s met so far. He asks to see her the next day she actually agrees. Carlos is on the cruise for one purpose, to convince the spoiled son of a rich investor to bring his business to Carlos’s home country of Aragonia. As the second son of the royal family, Carlos doesn’t have much time to play around, and meeting the beautiful American tourist is just a fun diversion. Yet the more time he spends with her, the more he wants to push his princely duties aside and just enjoy the fascinating woman’s company. After the news leaks out that Prince Carlos is seeing an American commoner, Lindy is shocked to learn that she’s the subject of tabloid gossip around the world. Lindy knows Prince Carlos is too far out of her league and Carlos knows he should follow the rules of his title, but are either of them brave enough to see where things could lead if they just give it a chance?

I am in love with these handsome princes and strong and capable women!
This was a shorter read and yet it had so much passion and love in it
We meet Lindy, who has decided to go on a cruise, to feel relaxed and enjoy a time. But when she meets handsome Carlos, she can't help but want to be in his company. He is not like other men in the cruise who want to get something of her. He is sweet and respectful The more time she spends with him, the more she wishes that they could maybe be more after their cruise
Carlos is on the cruise for business reasons, but when he accidentally steps on the toes of a beautiful American, he uses any and every possible time he can to speak and spend time with the woman. But he is a prince, and she a commoner, and she doesn't know who he is. How can he tell her, without the risk she might run away ?
Beautiful and delightful read, fell in love with Carlos and his manners and his ways of speaking! 😍
All you lovers of royal and commoner stories are you ready for a new series? This is a cute novella that is a prequel for this author's upcoming book. She and two other authors, Addison Quinn and Sophia Conrad have new books coming out in their series, Royal Secrets. This was the last of the three for me to read and now I am all ready for their books to come out so I can find out more about these characters and their love stories. Super cute stories with sweet characters. They can easily be read in an hour, give or take a few minutes. I devoured two of them the other night. If you're interested, you can sign up on each author's websites and get the free prequel novellas. No requirement to review or anything, just sign up for their newsletters.
This one was about Lindy, the American, escaping for a vacation from her latest breakup. She and her cousin head out on a Mediterranean cruise. Trying to avoid the other men on the boat, especially the ones trying to flirt with her, Lindy finds herself becoming distracted by Carlos. Unbeknownst to her, he's really Prince Carlos.
I loved the sweet friendship that develops between these two. It's not an insta love, but a growing attraction and plenty of room to continue building their developing relationship with the upcoming book. Their time on the cruise is going swimmingly (pardon the pun) until everything comes crashing down when his true identity is revealed, and of course, not by him. As well as another characters' intentions toward Lindy, which cause some hurt feelings and uncertainties.
I absolutely loved Prince Carlos. Especially how he treats Lindy, and works to make right what was wrong. If you're not quite sure you want to read past this novella, I think you'll find that it was a satisfyingly sweet read and gives you enough of a happily ever after. But be warned, you might find that you really come to like these two characters and want to know more about them and need to read the next book. Good luck on whatever you decide to do. This will be a fun series as the authors have written the different characters from their books into each others books, so some cross over characters are involved in this series. I'm definitely looking forward to the upcoming books!
Content: Clean. A character does talk about trying to flirt and seduce Lindy. Nothing is graphic and it is done without being crude, but in a way for the storyline.
I received a copy from joining the author's newsletter. No review was required. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.
This novella is one of three that kicked off the Royal Secrets series a couple of years ago. I've had it for awhile and finally read it when we lost our internet and I couldn't download any books to my Kindle.
American Lindy is on a Mediterranean cruise with her cousin, getting over a breakup with a long-time boyfriend when she meets handsome Carlos. Lindy doesn't know Carlos is a Prince of Aragonia. Carlos is on the cruise to close a months-long business negotiation when he meets Lindy. They have many wonderful times together on the cruise and he plans to tell her who he is before the cruise ends, but the secret comes out before he can tell her.
I loved these two together. Carlos is such a gentleman and I could only imagine how dreamy it was to dance with him, and he called her "Mi linda", so swoony. I liked how he gave Lindy space to get through the shock of the revelation and hurt from the misinformation that she'd been told; he didn't plead or demand for her to listen to his side of the story. I especially liked that they met privately so she could hear him out and they decided to start over. After reading this novella you're going to want to read the others in the series to see what happens to Carlos and Lindy.
I received a complimentary copy when I signed up to receive the author's newsletter. All opinions expressed are my own.
Prince Carlos is smooth, but not sickeningly so. He is a real gentleman, and I would love to meet him in real life. He seemed to genuine and unpretentious. Lindy frustrated me a time or two. Sure he didn't tell her who he was initially, but what does she expect?! He isn't the kind of person to go shouting it from the proverbial rooftops. That is his personality, and it's not a flaw. I did like how her intentions were explained when her cousin asked, “So how are you going to let him know you aren’t coming?” “I figured if I didn’t show up, that would be a big enough clue.” However, that doesn't mean I agree with her thought process. I couldn't believe that she wouldn't show Carlos more respect. On a steaminess level I would rate this a warm PG. Nothing inappropriate that caused me to blush or feel uncomfortable.
This was a short and sweet novella; a very quick read.
Melinda "Lindy" was from South Dakota on a mediterranean cruise with her cousin, Paul. The first night of the cruise, she met a player, Phillippe who was rich and arrogant and she was totally turned off. Then she met Carlos, who unbeknownst to Lindy was a Prince of Aragonia. After spending several days in his company, she finally learned the truth. Could she discount all the wonderful feelings she felt about Carlos for the one truth he kept to himself? Would she be able to forgive him and forge a lifelong relationship with him?
I was given an advance reader copy of this book to read.
Kennedy Larsen’s Dancing With The Prince is a sweet, quick romance. It’s book two in a four book series, Royal Secrets. So far, I have read the first two books in the series. Dancing With The Prince is a short novella and some may feel there isn’t enough depth in the book to allow for character development or a complex storyline. However, considering the brevity of the book, the reader does get to know Prince Carlos and his love interest Melinda. We get to see them fall in love and we are left with the excitement and possibilities their romance brings. This book is perfect for those who like their romances syrupy sweet, and clean!
This was a very sweet story of a "regular American girl" sweeping a prince off his feet, so to speak. I've read a number of this sort of romance scenario, but really enjoyed how this one was put together. For instance, Lindy crossing with her cousin Paul was a nice touch, and made good sense. Of course there must be a certain amount of suspension of belief in order for Lindsay to not pick up on the special treatment granted Carlos, the prince, denoting some sort of significance, amidst the various activities they participated in, but that's just typical. It's a sweet story that ends with promise.
I really like this series, I haven't read them in order though, its nice to meet new characters Prince Carlos n Lindy, who I think are so cute together, and learn they can be themselves with each other. While still hearing about characters from other books in series, Prince Stefan of Durham, Prince Alex, body guard Diego, and Marcus older brother of Carlos. I hope their father gets Philippe's signature, cause that's about all he's good for! I think people always have good intentions, but usually too late and issues always appear, honesty and up front with people is the way to go.
Lindy is an incredibly independent, headstrong American who decided to escape all men by taking a cruise through the Mediterranean with her cousin. Cue Prince Carlos who, literally, runs into Lindy after she abruptly leaves the cruise bar to avoid the unwanted advances of the slimy businessman Phillippe.
This story was a fun and light heartened but never took away from Lindy’s strong character. I really enjoyed watching the romance unfold between Lindy and Prince Carlos without her sacrificing her values in the mean time.
Dancing With The Prince is a good yet short, sweet romance but unfortunately it doesn't really have the HEA ending you would expect. I know this is part of a series but as the books are by different authors I would expect the books to be interlinked but still be complete stand-alone stories with a proper ending. As this is not the case .. you need to read the next book to find out what happens next... I would expect this to be mentioned somewhere in the blurb! It would have been four stars but the ending let it down as it is too rushed and unfinished.
This is an easy and quick book to read. Good book for the beach or just killing time. While the author has talent this book features the one thing that makes me never want to read another book by this author. The “ending” sucks. It is almost as though the author was running out of words or time or something. When typically you would spect at least an epilogue you get...to buy the next book
Every young girl dreams of growing up and meeting and marrying her own Prince Charming. And yes, I grew up on the same fairy tales and still love a HEA royal story. Kennedy Larsen has written an entertaining book that fulfills all the requirements: Prince: check Commoner woman: check Drama: check HFN: 1/2 check not quite the HEA
Even though the story is not rocket science, sometimes you just need a little fluff to take away reality.
A cruise, a handsome prince and a beautiful American make for an enchanting fairy tale. This was a great short and sweet novella. Lindy was trying to get away for a bit and invited her cousin to join her on this cruise. She ran into a handsome stranger and was very cautious to join him when he invited her. Their connection grew quickly until her world was turned upside down with the truth. The story was very well written and was a quick read that kept you interested until the very end.
This sweet and clean novella was more of an extended meet cute covering a few days. Both main characters seem upright and trustworthy. Still, Prince Carlos chooses to not reveal his title until the moment is right... and someone else beats him to it in a most crass way.
That leaves Lindy questioning if Carlos really is respectable or just a charming cad. There is where her cousin proves a great sounding board and friend.
I didn’t realize when I started this that it was a short story (which I’m not a fan of). If you like hallmark romance movies, you’ll like this book. I wish it had been much longer. It’s fairly predictable as a prince (trying to be incognito) from a made up land falls insta-in-love on a cruise with a woman who had sworn off men. It is clean with only a few mild kisses.
This was a very short book (novella, under 100 pages). I feel like it could have certainly been longer but it gave me a good taste of the author’s writing. I look forward to reading other books she has written. I have read others in this series by another author so I was excited to read another author’s stories and how they link in.
What just happened? This was so odd, it’s like the book just stopped. Where’s the rest of it? Now, there is a second (and third) book in the series, they just aren’t a continuation. This was definitely my least favorite book in a long time. I’ll read something else by this author at a later date, she has too many good reviews to not try again.
Sweet short story featuring a Prince and a young woman from America. Lindy has broken up with a long time boyfriend and gone on a cruise with her cousin as a companion. She meets Prince Carlos of Aragonia but is unaware of his title. They meet and begin spending time together. What will happen when it is discovered they are the top scandal in the news?
I liked the characters, the setting, and the problems that go along with meeting a incognito royal. All the elements of a solid romance are here. Meet cute, check. Flirting, check. Kiss, check. Tear apart, check. Only one problem for me, where was the ending?
The novella was so short, I missed a satisfying ending.
Fate meeting during a cruise voyage... sun... beautiful place... One principe and a normal girl... for a beautiful romance. You will love it! I received a free book and this is my honest and voluntary review
Another sweet fun novella in this series. Lindy and Carlos are wonderful together and help restore each other's faith in the opposite sex. The cruise ship is a fun setting for this story. I'm excited to read more stories in this series.
Love this series. It is a clean, exciting, fun, emotional and so much more read. It is one to curl up with. She is on a cruise with her cousin. He is supposed to keep men away from her. Who knew he would get terribly seasick. She ends up meeting a prince and things develop there.
That's the best way to describe this book. One thoroughly obnoxious man tries to ruin something that might turn into something more. Bastian captures the early days of a possibility. Recommended for all readers of clean royal romance.
Good romance. Good chemistry. Everything was going like a dream until the misunderstanding. I’m glad the story ends on a cliffhanger. I look forward to reading the next novella to learn the next part of their story.
I really enjoyed this short but sweet read. Lindy and Carlos meet on a cruise ship and the story takes off from there. I'm hoping there is more about them and their story!
