Circlet of Orchids

What if you were reminded of your worst mistake every day?

For Irish surfer and mechanic Max, this has been his reality for the past eleven years. Thanks to a circlet of teal orchids, he can't bring himself to move on from the hope that someday he may find the words to win back the love of his life. When he learns of news that obliterates this possibility, he puts the circlet away along with his faith in second chance love.

What if you had the perfect life and still weren't happy?

At Thirty, Ivy has it all; a walk in closet stacked with a swanky wardrobe, fame and fortune by proxy and a cowboy in her king sized bed. She's avoided the colour teal and hasn't touched an orchid in over a decade for fear of being catapulted back to the night she fell in love for the first time. Somehow, halfway across the world, Max's voice still echoes in her ears. How is this possible, especially after he smashed her heart to smithereens?

The only way they can find peace is to face their deepest fear.

Unbeknownst to Max and Ivy, they will soon be forced to face their hidden feelings. Will their love stored within the circlet be powerful enough to rewrite their story?

Overview: A teenage romance is disrupted by opportunities not taken. But years later, when a second chance at love presents itself, will this couple be able to turn their lost relationship around?

This up and down, love/hate romance, complicated by a series of opportunities and misfortunes, pulls readers through years of utter longing and bitter strife as Author Autumn Murray draws on her own experiences with second chance love in “Circlet of Orchids”.

Murray pens a witty, charming, and sometimes tragic romance between an Irish surfer/mechanic, Max, and a beautiful rodeo rider, Ivy. Her tale captures readers’ attention and tugs at the heartstrings even as Fate seems to work against a couple who truly belong together. Most touching are scenes where Max is willing to give up his own hopes and dreams to make a life with Ivy, but just as he reaches the pinnacle of an opportunity to express his romantic desires, Ivy’s plans force him, over and over again, to sacrifice love in favor of fulfilling her own dreams and desires. When Ivy interprets Max’s sacrifices as disinterest, their relationship instantly sours, causing a rift between the two that causes years of pain and misery and forces the pair to find love in another’s arms.

Murray sets up a tense plotline within the framework of this romance novel. Her characters are highly likable and believable. At times funny, and at other times tragic, this story pulls readers into a genuine relationship with these characters as they live their lives continent-hopping and racing toward their dreams.

I recommend this true-to-life romance for ages 18 and over.

Autumn Murray's debut novel showcased the rising author's talent in writing and storytelling. Diving into one of my favorite romance tropes about second chances and finding oneself, I was immediately drawn to the plot and captivated by the story, completely absorbed in Ivy and Max's relationship as Murray took us on a roller coaster ride through the whole gamut of human emotions.

A beautiful tale to warm your heart, Circlet of Orchids is definitely a must read!

I officially declare myself as a new fan of the author's works! I can't wait to see more of what she has in stores for us.

A beautiful, pure, inspiring story of second chances and finding yourself, written with such passion and literary talent it made my own heart sing!
I fell in love with Ivy and Max, with their story, and couldn’t wait for their happily ever after!
The story takes place in Ireland and Texas at times, and having been to Ireland myself, it was awesome reading about these spots!
Loved loved LOVED it, can’t recommend enough 😁

I’m not normally drawn to romance novels, but was captivated by the realism of this love story and the plot development that went beyond the confines of romance. I felt extremely connected to the main character Ivy, as she is so strong and motivated, yet also introverted and sensitive, which made me so emotionally invested in her story. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a thought-provoking and inspiring story of inescapable love. Such a great read!

I was looking up new releases by new authors, cause I feel like I've already found everything I could possibly like and was intrigued by the summary. I gave it a shot and it swept me off my feet! I finished it in an afternoon, it made my cry and giggle and still feel the characters. Apparently this was based on a true story. That makes me love it even more. Unexpectedly satisfied with this book!
