Living with your childhood friend should be fun and games, right? Partying, watching TV together, playing video games all night long. That's how Thomas thought it'd be. However, living with Lin felt more like having a loving and caring wife. Even though hewas single, he was living a married life... with another guy. And he didn't hate it at all The weekly updated fun and light MxM rom-com about two friends who act more like a lovey dovey couple
A very clean but cute in some ways non romance but very comfortable friends. It is clear they are not a traditional couple but very good friends. Really cute and had me smiling throughout. A fun read.
This could have been cute. But some things really bothered me. One: was the grammatical errors. There were a lot. It made it hard to find a reading flow. Two: The same thing or same phrases were used sooo much. Like “my childhood friend” or “my man wife”. It was just weird and too repetitive. Three: this is probably just me, but this felt slightly homophobic or transphobic even in the first half. Like why is it such a big deal that Lin is a “guy”? Or if they identify as trans, why is that a big deal? Idk, that part might just be me
I had fun reading this! Usually when I read, I just have a poker face on all throughout even with some funny scenes. But this is one of those stories that I'd really laugh with. It's a very cute and interesting story about childhood friends (or more), definitely worth reading! It may not have perfect English and POVs but it isn't really distinct enough for the reader to be distracted away from the scenes. I really think it was a nice read. Thumbs up to the author, hope to read more from you! :)
This was a super cute story about friendship, love, and romance. About supporting each other, and how things aren't always how they appear. It had cosplayers, geeks, sweet Lin, lovely Tom, and an adorable non-couple who eventually become a couple. It had some issues - the author's first language is not English and it showed - however, the overall story shone through, regardless.
Favourite Quote "Are you jealous 'cause he's getting married?" Lin teased, poking him on the cheek. Thomas had trouble suppressing his smile. I'm already married. To you, you idiot, he thought, blushing slightly."
The story is cute and sweet, but almost too sweet for me. You will not believe how many times the MCs blush. But the trouble I really had with it was all the grammar typos and missing words. Some of it felt like clumsy translating. For example, "on the car" was obviously in the car when I read the scene, and that particular word switch happened seemingly every time. The language was also repetitive, similar to all the blushing on every page.
Boring read. How many times do you have to read "my wife, but he is a boy or guy" "my childhood friend", I think these facts were established after the fifth time I read it, I didn't need it the other 1000 or so. I just found the writing lacking. It wasn't for me.
I loved this story and wish I can read more. The characters were in depth and had great presence. Even the secondary characters were good. I would love to read more of this author's stories if they are all like this.
Dnf 7% and struggled to get to that point.Awkwardly written, referencing the main character as "the programmer" when he is talking to his friend, as if his employment defines his identity and using terms like "man wife" for the friend. Was not able to enjoy the story.
The story could’ve been really cute but it was written in such a way that it was hard to continue. It jumped tenses too often even in the same page and changed POV randomly
