Finally, finally, James and Christiana come to acknowledge the extent of their love for each other. This is the third instalment in this trilogy, and I think it is the best. The raw emotions, and the sexual tension, holy moly. These characters apparently carry over into the next Billionaire Dom series by Lila Dubois, as one of the Doms who made an appearance in this book meets his HEA sub.

A hot conclusion

Wow we are treated to some very steamy scenes in this book. Personally I would have preferred the resolution to have not been quite as easy as it was, but overall I was still happy with how the story wrapped up.

I liked that Christiana never lost her personality or strength, I also appreciated how SSC was adhered to throughout. It's more of a HFN than a HEA ending, and I get the impression we will see more of James and Christiana in future books, you can easily leave the series here.

The story is well written and flows well, it's a fairly quick read (though longer than a novella) and manages to pack some wonderful play scenes in, as well as plenty of plot. The pace was good and my attention was easily held from start to finish.

I enjoyed these consensual BDSM books about James and Christiana, two very different people in terms of class, ethnicity, background, and expectations who, nonetheless, forge a connection that is enhanced -- rather than overwhelmed -- by kink. This is the third in a trilogy and you absolutely have to read the first two to understand what is going on. Because I've read all three, this review is really for all of them (so I didn't experience the frustration that I see many other readers did).

Our MC first meet when Christiana sneaks into a very exclusive BDSM party and catches the attention of James, who, unbeknownst to him, becomes the first Dom the newbie sub has ever been with. Once he finds out the truth, the rest of the books details their burgeoning BDSM and "vanilla" relationship.

The Orchid Club -- where the two meet and where this series will continue with one of the side characters we see here -- is one of those fantasy BDSM clubs common to this genre. I have to say that Ms. Dubois' description of it outdoes every other fictional BDSM club -- it really does sound like a fairy tale palace. Between that, James' status as quasi-royalty, and Christiana's more down-to-earth lifestyle and job, this does have a slightly Cinderella feel to it (minus the abusive family). While this isn't usually my thing, the author grounds the fantasy (the private jet, the island getaway, the ostentatious jewelry) by giving us two very likeable people who have realistic jobs (James is not, say, Special Ops and I loved that Christiana was an engineer, an unusual profession for this genre). Their conflicts rose out of organic differences rather than anything OTT (so, no, Christiana is not kidnapped by the man who James thought was his best friend, but is actually his illegitimate half-brother out for revenge). The one instance that could have turned melodramatic -- the wannabe dom that Christiana goes home with -- is more a case of someone who is clueless and self-involved, rather than evil.

I appreciated other aspects of the book: the BDSM is consensual and there's talk of safewords and limits; both characters are multi-ethnic in what is still a too-white genre; Christiana retains her sense of self; and James admits when he's wrong. I particularly liked that the ending, while an HEA or HFN, didn't resolve everything and that the couple will have to compromise and negotiate -- just like any couple. Finally, this contained well-described kink scenes and was well-written (though there were some typos), with just enough description without turning into info-dump (who knew knocking down walls could be so compelling to read about?)

I have some quibbles: James is not American, but speaks like one (which Ms. Dubois must realize since her bio indicates that she's lived in a lot of different countries); I felt that the BDSM scenes got a bit much in this book, given Christiana's relative inexperience; James' constant insistence that subs can't ask questions of their doms -- just trust them -- is not true; and the final conflict is something umpteen other books have employed. But none of these affected my overall enjoyment of the book.

4 stars. This is one of the few BDSM books I've read that uses kink as not only the physical manifestation of a couple's connection, but also a metaphorical one. While I agree with others that this didn't necessarily need to be three books, I do recommend the trilogy highly.

Well I blew thru those fast . Hard not to when they’re a cliffhanger ends in the middle of a story at the end of each one . Holy mother of fuck was this spicy 🌶️ . I was like FINALLY when they actually did the deal
. I felt just like her as she was experiencing this world I know very little of but which has always interested me. I didn’t love the lack of friends / support around her . Like if I just took off with a rich dude like that and didn’t tell anyone my friends , and my sister would hunt me down. Ginger seems like a terrible friend to not be there for her at all , not even her coworkers ?

What I ABSOLUTELY LOVED WAS how she refused to back down and was adamant about WHAT SHE WANTED and this was how it was gonna go in the bedroom and out of it and didn’t just let him steam roll over her .
And told him this is how I deserve to be treated get with it or get out. There needs to be more heroines like this .

Well this was a brilliant, sensual, sexy and at times frustrating end to what has been a great trilogy. I will admit, I don't like stories in parts as I'm a frustrated and impatient reader but this trilogy works well and Lila Dubois has a knack of teasing enough that you simply can't wait to see how James and Christiana's story plays out.

I have to say, I thought Lila did sexy well but this one allows us a new prospective on what that is and James and Christiana's foray to Solomon's opens up a whole new world that not only Christiana experiences but we as readers also get to experience as Lila Dubois perfectly describes every element, physically, mentally and emotionally. The descriptions are so vivid that you can't help but experience everything right as it happens, and that is why this is a must read for me.

There are times when you simply want to scream in frustration at the reality over fantasy, especially as James continues to not see what is right in front of his face. We go through a range of emotions as we traverse the highs and lows of this tale but the ending is what we have been yearning for with hints that this may not be the end for James and Christiana's tale. Of course, there are some secondary characters introduced throughout the three books that I would love to see more of and hope Lila Dubois continues her foray into the Orchard Club and gives us more from these intriguing characters, oh and I would SO love to see more of Solomon!

A great HEA (for now) ending that despite concluding in a perfect way, teases the prospect of so much more!

4.5/5 - {ARC} review... loved the conclusion to this three-part series.

I really enjoyed this series. A legit BDSM relationship and the story explores varies kink activities. There’s consent and safe words and the submissive is always in control and safe.

James and Christiana’s relationship grew and changed fast. He collared her in less than two months. I understand the party but he wanted to offer his collar. But at the same time not commit to a relationship just BDSM relationship. Which is totally fine but the sub has to agree.

The LOVE word emerged and flipped the relationship on its head. And that is the point that I got Christiana and rooted for her but then she just shows up — in Paris. She knew what she wanted then in the end flew from San Francisco to Paris to find James because she changed her mind. I totally get story structure and pushing the plot line; she just went from a hard ass to spending a small fortune to cave in?

Christiana was sometimes low key annoying. That’s all I’ll say. I’m not here to bitch, I liked this story.

I’m not sure how real D/s relationships work or contracts but I’m curious is it common to break a contract or want to re-negotiate basically in a scene because lust overtakes one or both participants? What really happens? Would a Dom or Master break a negotiated contract?

FYI:

Spanking, bondage, suspension, oral, anal, and penetrative sex. BDSM sex party (skin party). FF nipple play. Triple penetration.

I received this ARC by the author in exchange for a honest review.

Ok, I have Opinons.
So, I love this series, and seeing its conclusion made me incredibly happy. But I have some problems that must be addressed
1) So James is always going on about “no one touches you but me”. But then they go to Solomon’s party, and QUITE LITERALLY HE GIVES PERMISSION FOR EVERYONE TO TOUCH HER. And at first, Chris is like “um what no” but then she gets on board hella quickly. Well, okay then???
2) an extension of point 1 - James touching other women is unattractive. I’m sorry, but it had to be said. I get that it’s there thing, but the only real way Chris defines this different from cheating is that she knows it’s happening and is there to watch. I mean, if you’re into it, cool? But also, you’re not REALLY exclusive, are you? Let’s call a spade a spade please. He allows other men to dom you, and you allow other women to be his sub.
3) James needs to get a life. Please. I can’t be the only one who thinks half of the reason he’s into Chris is because of her “commoner quirks”. It’s killing me inside, and really does raise that worry that’s prominent in this book: will James get bored of her? I like to be sure that a couple is going to last in the future, and I’m just not sure with these two.
Now, this isn’t to say there wasn’t stuff I liked! All the BDSM scenes were well written and hot, and I like the inclusion of Solomon. The whole thing with the house and the collar was very well done, and Chris’ feelings on the matter were easy to understand. The book was consistently interesting, and I loved a lot of it. I can’t wait to read Solomon’s story!!!

Where do I begin?!? This book is everything that I love about this author. Not only is the hard core BDSM there, but there are real feelings involved. Christiana and James have a chemistry that is at times explosive, but at other times sweet and gentle. It's absolutely beautiful!

Book 3 in the San Francisco trilogy picks up exactly where book 2 ended. James has plans for Christiana, wicked plans to introduce her to a different side of the BDSM world than she has known before now. Christiana's feelings for James just seem to be getting deeper, stronger and she isn't sure where his feelings for her stand.

The conclusion of James and Christiana's story is just as hot as the first two parts. But San Francisco Love has a level of emotion, a level of intimacy that wasn't the focus in the beginning. Christiana's confusion and emotional upheaval touched me, left me with chills. James' understanding of Christiana's mind is at times naive, which contrasts nicely with his almost uncanny understanding of her needs and wants. I couldn't help but love these characters!

Ahhh!

An absolutely beautiful ending to a perfect story! I had been slightly leery of purchasing this last installment of “San Francisco Love” due solely to a review I read about it. The reviewer wrote that Books 2 & 3 were exactly the same. That there was nothing new in Book 3, blah, blah, blah!! The more I thought about what the reviewer said the more I felt something was wrong. I mean, I FLOVED the first two parts, totally and completely. How could the author have gotten the ending SOO wrong? Well, being the sucker I am for a HEA I decided to chance it. AM I EVER GLAD I DID!!! OMG! Book 3 was just as awesome as Books 1 & 2. Book 3 perfectly tied things up to give me a HEA if not a HFN as well. Don’t believe the naysayers. If you loved the first two - Book 3 is just what this doctor orders.

What a delicious experience!!! Again the final part of this trilogy is just so captivating! The detailed and vivid descriptions got me so engrossed in the story that I couldn’t put it down! As I said in my review of the first two parts of this trilogy, the characters are human, flawed, but also compassionate and understanding of the other’s well-being… it’s refreshing… and makes it seem more realistic. It brings the emotional connection between the characters, and between the characters and the reader, to a higher level. This is a book I will definitely read again (and I rarely do this)! It is so complex and it takes you somewhere so enjoyable that you want to go again!!! It’s bewitching!! And I’m so happy with the conclusion! Love a HEA!

This story picks up right where San Francisco Lost ends, in the bedroom. James and Christiana are hot and steamy, with bondage, ice, sensation play, objectification, impact play, voyeurism and sharing. James wants to give her a semi-permanent collar and Christiana worries she will lose herself to James. I love that she stands up for her own well being. I won't give away the end but I thought it was AWESOME! I would like to read more about this couple. Lila Dubois has a talent for making things feel so real and even though there's a lot of BDSM there's a lot of good story as well. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reading copy of this book.

I enjoyed reading about Christiana and James. They both enjoy their time together as he teaches her about being a sub, and not just anyone’s but his. They both are falling in love but to afraid to speak the words. James takes her to an island location where a friend is hosting a skin party. He makes sure that she understands all of the rules before entering. Christiana will do anything to please James, even let other people touch her at his ok. Once she as the heart to really tell him what she wants, it opens his eyes and his heart to see that he loves her and doesn’t want to be without her. This is a wonderful novel and a great trilogy read.

This book certainly started out, and kept going, with steamy encounters between Christiana and James. Every fantasy she ever had, and lot she hadn’t considered, come true for her at James’ hands and instructions. Therein lies part of issue, it seemed more sexual and less emotional. There is some feeling of a connection, but it is secondary to sex

I enjoyed the book, it is just a little light on the feelings for most of story. After the sensual build up in the first book, and the emotional connection in the second, this one felt a little flat compared to them

The Relationship Deepens!!!

James and Christiana become closer, and explore all facets of their relationship. They attend a private party which has unique rules for “play”. Offered a collar for the duration of the trip, Christiana realizes she is falling in love with James. Will he break her heart at the end of their agreed upon time?

A beautiful and sensual journey of these two very different people. Such an emotional read – I loved it!!

This book was fascinating to read. It was a man and a woman becoming more than just a sub/dom relationship. It was becoming a true couple without being left in the happiness forever state. Both had changed in the course of the book and realized that they couldn’t assume it was forever but a work in progress. The couple was going into it with the hope of forever, but understanding there would be ups and downs.

This trilogy from beginning to end was full of heat and desire.

Christiana is a strong independent women who has had to fight for everything she has. She works in a "man's" field and stands up against the strongest.

James is a man who has everything and gets what he wants, when he wants.

And then they meet and fireworks ensue. Perfect HEA for this pair.

Very worth the read.

Sigh, the end. Always such a sad thought. You start the series knowing there is more and you are excited, only to realize when you reach the last one, there is no more.

Christiana is a changed woman and as she grows she yearns for more. James is intrigued by her, uncertain for probably the first time in his life. He wants more but is wary.

Great series and awesome characters. Lila knows how to keep the readers entertained and enthralled.

Christiana and James have HOT sexy fun, but is it just fun? For her? For him? More feelings come into play, are they on the same page or does their time together have an expiration date? So many questions for this couple we’ve come to care about. This story draws you into the world of BDSM, makes it all seem so real, makes you feel it with Christiana. For as spicy a read it’s still a sweet romance too. Sigh...

Incredible steamy end to this yummy trilogy. Christiana Dell and James Nolan were from two different worlds spending the last of their two weeks together. Christiana knew that she was in love with James but was uncertain how he felt. Her submission was important to James but he knew the kind of man he was and couldn't give her a long term commitment. Will they both be able to live with themselves?
If you like steamy and little naughty with some romance in there you will love this.

Lila Dubois saved the best storytelling in the trilogy for San Francisco Love with detailed scenes that added to the character development of Christiana and James. The emotional maturity of Christiana and James brings an intense level of chemistry and understanding of who they are as individuals and as a couple. San Francisco Love intelligently and beautifully brings James and Christiana's story to a satisfying HEA.

Great book

She submits to him, he dominates her, their relationship progresses to one of master and submissive. He only wants her till he doesn't, she is in love and wants it to be forever. He encourages her to grow and develop in their relationship, introducing her to his proclivities and desires, she embraces the relationship but wants more, join them in their journey to discovery and enlightenment.

Alright ending

Cute book, but just felt like it was I missing something. It just felt like these two characters have making of good love story, but it was like the author only half connects with that. The ending was a bit of a let down and then it says it was continuing. There are nine books.... I don’t hate the book, but just felt I didn’t quite connect with where she was going.

4 1/2 Stars! Third and final book in the San Francisco trilogy. Picks up right where part two leaves off. James collars Christina for his friend’s BDSM house party. This is the conclusion of the two-week training contract between James and Christiana. Some hot D/s playing, but can Christina get James to try a romantic relationship too.

This continuation of the series started off with a bang. From the first page it was full on steamy scenes. In my opinion it seemed like it was trying to make up for lost time.
There was the usual back and forth drama with the hero not being sure of his feelings and the heroine already recognizing hers.

While am not a fan of trilogies (I do prefer 1 book with a conclusion of sorts), this had me hook, line and sinker! I love how the books went seamlessly into each other. James and Christiana were great together and how each word in the book made you want to cheer for them! Another 5 star book from Lila DuBois!

Sighhhhh and holy Moses I love the way this man pushes the limits and more. I also love how Christiana knows what she wants and though it scares her immensely how much she loves James she knows her worth. To submit is not at the cost of oneself.
