She thinks they're enemies.

Jade Miller is no stranger to betrayal--or uncertainty. And that's only part of the reason why she finds it difficult to trust in anyone.

Especially the man who once stood her up.

He knows they're something more.

One year later, and Declan Young is still chasing the pink-haired spitfire who drives him wild. She might think he's a player, but he can't get her out of his head.

B. Cranford

B. Cranford is a proud Australian living in the USA, a lover of books, breadsticks and bed, and the mother of two children who are far too similar to their father for her liking. A lifelong reader, she dove into the romance genre on the recommendation of her best friend and hasn’t looked back since. Her debut novel, The Brightest Star, a second chance romance with (she hopes) heart and humor was released on July 13, 2017, which just so happened to be her birthday. Because if you release a book on your birthday, you get twice as much cake, and that can only be a good thing.

This is a quirky, fun, angsty read with a hero that just won’t take no for an answer.

When Declan is late, as in really late, to his first date with Jade, she’s never going to forgive or forget. Declan knows he screwed the pooch with his chance at Freckles but one stolen moment in the supply closet is enough to keep him hot on her trail.

I loved that Declan was all in with Jade and despite it being a year since she turned him down, he won’t stop trying. Jade has issues that are justified, in her mind and the reader’s as well when you realize that she’s struggling with a very real problem. The fact that all the people around her are there to support her gave a certain beauty to this story.

Dual POV
Safe – no ow/om drama and neither slept with anyone else

Funny and sweet with an extra shot of heart tugging…

While this is a standalone, you will want to read The Brightest Star. Have to. Must! Brighton and Seb’s story was the catalyst and this time out they are supporting characters of the best kind. Their warmth and love provide unconditional support to Declan and Jade as they wrestle with their own happy ever after.

Jade may think she is crazy – and she really does some slightly out of the norm things - but she is a woman who was knocked down so often she simply expects it. When Declan ‘does her wrong’, he is not getting a second chance - which, thank goodness, is not the end of their story. Declan is going to win her over. Eventually…

“I’m starting to tolerate you.”

This is a frenemies to lovers story with all the feels and, yes, just a little bit of craziness. That’s part of its enormous appeal. Along with its humour (the punn-iness is laugh out loud fun), its warmth, its heart and soul. I laugh but then I get sideswiped with a zinger to the heart or a super sexy scene. Can it get better than that? I’m thinking not…

While I wanted Jade to stop resisting Declan’s sincerity (and his humour, and his sexiness, and his earnestness – really, how did she hold out for so long??), I very much appreciated the struggle she had reconciling her present with the life-shattering experiences of her past. It was a story of struggle and acceptance, and above all love….

Made me laugh out loud/snort:
“Easy for you to say. You’re not the one using cum-stained office supplies.”

A Little Bit Crazy by B. Cranford is the story of Jade Miller and Declan Young.
I really enjoyed their story and of course their banter. This was a fun escape type book where you didn't want their story to end. This is my first book by Ms. Cranford and after reading this one I jut want to read more books by her.

Jade and Declan were absolutely perfect for each other.

A Little Bit Crazy is a perfect enemies to lovers romance book. Plus, it's free on kindle and who doesn't love free books?

Now I'm pretty sure that this is my first book ever read by B. Cranford and I after reading her reviews about people talking about how they fell in love with one of her other books before falling in love with books makes me think I'm super lame. I'm lame because I didn't even know the other book existed!! So now I'm contemplating what to do next - which of course is to get the book that they were talking about and read it. duh!

Anyways, I loved every single second of this book. I love everything about Jade and Declan and I kind hope for another book about these two?!? PLEASE! And now I can't wait to read The Brightest Star and I hope that it's as amazing as everyone has said so far.

Bring it on!

Declan can be a little over protective, “if someone touched you, I swear to effing God I'm turning around and going back there.” Declan sure likes to tease, “you can’t eat me for dinner, Jay. I could eat you though.” Declan’s face transformed into a lecherous expression, eyebrows wiggling, mouth curved into a dirty smirk." I liked this book, both Declan and Jade were easy characters to fall in love with.

I absolutely adored Sebastian and Brighton from Author B. Cranford's The Brightest Star. I mean, truly and completely fell in love with the characters, their flaws and their story. Why am I telling you this? Because I honestly thought, how can I possibly love any of her other characters more? I mean Declan and Jade were funny and supportive and played crucial roles in Cranford's first book, but Sebastian and Brighton were the radiant stars, so how could anyone ever outshine them? I was wrong. Oh, I still adore Seb and Bright, but Dec and Jay have stolen a large piece of my heart. And I'm ok with them keeping it.

Declan Young is your stereotypical All American- tall, blond, handsome, incredibly fit, athletic and successful. He could easily have any woman he desired. Well, almost. He could have anyone, unless that woman is Jade Miller and he accidentally stood her up for a date over a year ago.

Jade Miller is bright and loud and funny and doesn't shy away from the spotlight. With her dazzling pink hair, and her multiple piercings and tattoos, and her signature colorful heels, Jade is a force to be reckoned with. Or is she?

Declan knows he screwed up, but something about this girl has him all wrapped up. He'll keep trying until he breaks her down. Because he doesn't want anyone but Freckles. Jade tries to put Declan off. But her sarcasm and biting comments and calling him Jackass are hiding the real reasons behind her standoff. Jade Miller has a past, and it threatens any potential happiness in her future. Can her White Knight convince her that he'll always be there to rescue her?

This book will have your emotions running wild. You will laugh out loud and you will sob. Sometimes you'll cringe and other times you'll sigh. But one thing you will never do is give up on the potential for a happily ever after. Because true love isn't easy, and it might even be a little bit crazy, but it is always, always worth it.

I'm not even a little bit exaggerating when I say that this book is everything I love about romance novels. Full disclosure: I loved The Brightest Star, but I like SUPER MEGA loved A Little Bit Crazy. Declan and Jade are the perfect enemies-to-lovers - their chemistry sparked all over my Kindle, and their sweetness lit up my heart.

I. LOVED. THIS. BOOK.

Truly, I felt like the storytelling was on point and Ms. Cranford has a gift for walking the line between lighthearted sweetness and heavier emotional plotlines. I felt like the relationship between Declan and Jade held me captive as they worked through their feelings for each other and stumbled their way into a love story. I read so much of this book with a smile on my face, I giggled sometimes, because the banter? You guys. Top notch. And - sure - my heart ached for these characters who were so clearly perfect for each other but had such a hard time finding their way. It was lovely. Emotionally gratifying. Addictive. Guh, I'm still smiling about it, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! ~ Shelly, 5 Stars

Declan has made the biggest mistake he can make when trying to win over a woman's favor: he was 3 hours late for his date with Jade. She should've known better than to try for the heart of the world's biggest jackass. Now they've spent months dancing around each other as their best friends are together. And as enemies that are attracted to one another, the sexual tension culminates into a brief and powerful moment in the supply closet. He thinks he's got another chance but Jade's going to make him work a lot harder than he ever planned.

There's nothing quite like an enemies-to-lovers romance. The tension between hero and heroine can make for some interesting moments. From heated words to passionate stolen kisses, Declan and Jade have electricity on every page. That being said, I really had a hard time following Jade. She seemed to go back and forth so quickly between admitting her feelings for Declan to hating him for being late to their date. I know it was their first date but I don't think I can comprehend that much hatred for a man for THAT. He didn't say anything offensive or rude to her. I thought if there was less time between Jade and Declan I could've understood their feelings towards one another better. A quick, fun read that made me want more of the other two characters as well!

I’m not even sure where to start with this one! Other than to say I love it desperately! I love a book that is heartfelt and real, funny and sweet, smart and sexy. This hits the mark on all counts.
Jade is one of the most vivid characters I’ve ever read. Flawed, but strong; strong enough to keep coming back when the negative voices in her head are telling her to run. I love her and her pink hair and freckles. She’s all bravado and sass. Until she’s not. Until the voices in her head get too loud. But she’s not kept down for long; she’s strong enough to know she needs to reach out for help.
Declan is her constant, despite her valiant attempts to drive him away. After one epically disastrous non-date he is single-mindedly determined to win her affections. He knows he screwed up big time, and there is much groveling involved. Always a great thing to see! Declan and Jade’s banter is one of the best things about this book.
Declan sees Jade as she is, he sees through her pink hair and tattoos, that guy is a true hero. He’s an All-American hero, strong, confident and successful without being cocky. He doesn’t try to fix her, he just waits and watches while Jade fixes her own shit. I loved their give and take, back and forth relationship. It made the fireworks all the brighter! I loved that, and I loved this book!

Sweet, sexy, and emotional, A Little Bit Crazy is a fantastic read. A standalone book, or read after The Brightest Star, Jade and Declan are so easy to get wrapped up in.

Diving into a topic that is fluffed over in a lot of novels, Ms. Cranford had me tearing up at points- and this is NOT an ugly cry novel. Jade is a character so many can (and a lot silently do) relate to. The respect that it was handled with was sincere and kind. I saw so much of myself in Jade, I almost want to call this a self discovery novel for the reader.

Declan was a dream book boyfriend. A bit flawed, a bit too focused on work, he's also kind, thoughtful, and ready to fight to make up for his mistakes in regards to Jade. It's an uphill battle, but he's stocked and prepared for it.

Overall, A Little Bit Crazy is fun, sweet, and a bit thought provoking. It's about growing as a person and forgiveness. It's about the struggles so many people fight alone, and how letting someone trustworthy in can help make a difference. It's paced well, fabulously written, and the tension between Jade and Declan highlights their spark.

I would recommend this book to the reader looking for something different in the romance community, while sticking to genre standards. A Little Bit Crazy is a standout novel.

A little bit crazy? No...alotta crazy.

I was trying to push through this one. I tried so hard. I was planning on finishing it even though Jade is over the top annoying. I'm 65% of the way in and I'm done. Spoilers ahead to explain.

I call it quits after she steals Declan's car because she's having a breakdown when her best friend tells her she's having a baby.

Why does she steal it? I dunno. Because she's upset. Why is she upset? I dunno. Because she's a child.

Being inside Jades head made me wanna rip my hair out one piece at a time. Every time it switched back to her POV I felt pained. Her inner monologues are that if a 12 year old. Constantly whining about how kids in school called her freckles. Who the fuck cares? Aren't you in your 30s? With a successful job, a nice apartment, and awesome friends?

But no...woe is me.

That's Jade - nonstop having a pity party on herself.

She's constantly having fights within her head "Oh everybody leaves me. I'm not good enough." Just shut up. One shitty boyfriend and your father left you.

Yes, the father leaving is traumatizing, but she has 3 sisters, a mother, and nieces and nephews who love her. Not to mention a close best friend. So, no. Everyone does not leave you, Jade. And feeling jealous about your best friend does not justify you taking someone's car.

I mean really? What is she planning to do? Run from her problems in her boyfriend/ not boyfriend's car? What sense does that make? Um none.

I couldn't connect with her and it caused me to not connect with Declan. Because I thought he was an idiot for being so attached to this woman who needs a bottle of Xanax and a therapist. Not a boyfriend.

I don't like stories about how one person is going to fix/ save the other person. Man or woman. Either way. You'll never fix or change that person.

Sorry, this one is a no for me.

Let me clarify: This book completely stands alone and no reason to 'need' to read book 1. However, I will state you are missing out if you don't read The Brightest Star.

So to the delight of this fangirl, she gave the readers as perfectly executed second chance story. Unlike other second chance stories where there is unending drama as to why our beloved couple aren't together from the start, this story starts off with relatable scenario. And that's where the story takes off to a will he/won't he win the girl.

But more than a romantic comedy, Ms Cranford offers a story with heart. You learn that Declan is ACTUALLY not that dude and is a good guy who made a mistake. The reader also learns that Jade isn't all snappy dialogue and to-die-for heels, but a flesh and blood person with a few reasons not to full trust this feeling.

Ms. Cranford shows the reader she is more than contemporary romance and can expand her writing skills to give the readers giggles, gasps and a few tears. Perfectly paced and never dragging - this story keeps you engaged. Whether or not you've read her debut, this is a story you'll want to pick up and buy because you'll find it as a re-read for when you need a well-balanced story. 5 out of 5 stars.

A Little Bit Crazy is a fun, sexy read. The banter between the characters and the situations they got themselves into kept me grinning and laughing.

Jade is bold in her clothing, tattoos, piercings and wild hair colors. She is adorable with her freckles and inner uncertainty that she worked so hard to hide.

Declan is the all american good looking nice guy. A good friend and loyal to those he cares about. He cared about Jade.

He had hurt her more than he realized when he was two hours late to their first date. He worked hard over a year trying to get her to forgive him. Forgiveness doesn't come easy but it sure is funny at times and emotionally gripping watching them work through Jade's issues.

Loved these characters and this story. Highly suggest it for any romance readers. B. Cranford is a new author for me and I enjoyed her writing style and her characters who come alive on the page.

Received an ARC for an honest review.

Jade is a triple S—sexy, sassy and smart.
Declan is a triple threat—hot, hot and did I say HOT? No seriously, he's all kinds of swoon-worthy.

I LOVED these characters, like proper LOVED.

The enemies to lovers trope is a favourite of mine, and A Little Bit Crazy gives you all that and MORE. It's funny, smart, filled with sass and sexy as hell.

From the time I finished The Brightest Star I was hoping for a story for Declan and Jade.
Jade works for Sebastian and has become besties with his wife Brighton. Declan has been a friend to the couple for years and has his eyes on the pink haired, tattooed, pierced beauty that is Jade . . . But a year ago he made a terrible mistake, unknowingly forcing some of Jade's demons to push him away. He has been trying to make up for it ever since as he can't get the beauty out of his head.

"Just because you don't like me, Freckles, doesn't mean I don't like you"

I love the banter between these two and as you know there is a fine line between love and hate. Will Declan be able to be a white knight? Can he get his Freckles to forget he can be a Jackass?

"I want to give you the me I want to be, not the one I've been stuck being for so long"

Overall a great read that has you rooting for the couple.

A Little Bit Crazy by B. Cranford was just the book I needed. Cranford knows how to grab her readers from the beginning and unfold a storyline that will both surprise you and draw you in completely.

I love that there are so many dimensions to Jade Miller, and that her tenacity and vulnerability both shine through. It gives each of us hope and the knowledge we each have more power than we give ourselves credit for.

Declan Young is the guy that we all know we want, even when they're not perfect. And the reason why is that at heart he is persistent and straightforward. Declan is not only a great friend, but one of those characters that has you rooting for him from the beginning.

"I will always keep you safe, Freckles."

B. Cranford has brought her A game again! A definite 5 Star read for me!

I loved this follow up book.
The title was very fitting...Jade is a little bit crazy, but I think that is part of the reason Declan loves her.
Jade is a hot a$$ mess, but she has reason to be. Declan comes off like a guy that can't be trusted, but he can. It just might take Jade a while to get that memo...lol
This was a one sitting read for me...I could not put it down.

Whoa! I’ve been patiently waiting for Jade and Declan. Jade is a little prickly, but she’s protective of herself for good reason. Declan, speechless and flustered but has a great heart. These two have the chemistry. The banter is off the charts. Their story is one readers can relate to, for sure!!

We originally met Declan and Jade in The Brightest Star, and while I was absolutely intrigued by Declan, Sebastian's sexy, snarky, and extremely loyal best friend, I had some reservations about Jade. Not as a best friend to Brighton, because she was steadfast and true (and brutally honest) in that respect. My reservations came from her ire toward Declan, and how she treated him as a result. And that, admittedly, was mostly because I felt an immediate connection to Declan, so I felt protective of him from the start.

But as we know, there are always two sides to a story, and Declan was probably deserving of the punishments Jade was dishing out. But whether these two were falling out or making out, I LOVED the interactions between them, because no matter how resistant Jade may have been, they were MADE for each other. In humor, wit, and all things horizontal, they were meant to be together.

I loved their journey, and seeing Declan woo his way into Jade's heart. That man has some serious woo-factor, amirite? If you haven't met Declan and his best girl, Jade, you should go now.

Sometimes the sweetest of love stories are the hardest fought and that is absolutely the case with B. Cranford’s newest book, A Little Bit Crazy. It is a story of second chances and finding the kind of love that is powerful enough to silence the whispering voices of doubt that insinuate themselves in all moments, good and bad.

Jade Miller and Declan Young were introduced in B. Cranford’s first novel, Bright Star where their chemistry percolated and made me want to get to know them all the more. These two are complete opposites and like the strongest of magnets, they do attract. Theirs is a story though where past and prologue inform every bit of this relationship that simmers with Jade’s hurt and Declan’s need to make right.

From top of her pink haired, freckled-faced head, to the tips of her always colorful shoes, Jade is unapologetically herself.....Outwardly, bold and vibrant, with several healthy doses of sass, this is the Jade that she believes the world needs to see. But it’s what is on the inside that counts and this woman is in a constant battle with a level of self-doubt and anxiety that is heart-breaking because it is so very real. For anyone who has struggled with their mental health, you will recognize what Jade experiences and the way it permeates her life. None of it is easy and even if you find her frustrating, you will come to appreciate as I did, the level of strength it takes to push back against an anxiety that at times is crippling. For me, Jade was that inspiring.

Need a white knight with a trusty steed? Declan is your man and I defy you not to swoon for this man on cue. More than the pretty face with a fabulous job, this guy is truly one of the good ones and with each turn of the page, it was proved time and time again. I loved seeing Jade through the filter of his eyes and heart, because he truly did. He saw beauty, goodness and struggle, all in this person that he adored and he didn’t flinch. That’s the ideal hero.

Jade and Declan’s chemistry here is dazzling. They have a ping pong kind of banter that will keep you totally entertained. But again, it’s emotion that fuels these two and there is enough to power a city and I love that we can feel every bit of it. Enjoy!

Happy reading!!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This is a brand new author for me and this appears to be her second novel ever. And despite some things I might not have normally read, I beyond loved the story. This author is a fantastic writer and I really loved this story.

The first book is about the couples besties and this novel continues the story. It does stand alone but you also meet the characters in the first book. Declan is the best friend of Sebastien and he is also close with the female lead in book 1, Bright. Jade is Sebastien's employee and also best friends with Bright. So the four hang out a lot.

The only aspect of this story I did NOT love was that Jade is bisexual. I would not have read this story had I known. But there is not bisexual relationship in the story. I think Jade's bisexuality was probably more of a plot point in the first book.

Mostly this is a very good hate to love story. Dec once asked Jade out. She waited for him for 2 hours before he showed and since then she has hated him. Now one year later their friends are getting married and Dec wants Jade to forgive and give him a shot.

Jade has many issues and she knows it and I loved how sane that made her. I liked that she knew that about herself and she controlled it rather than it ran the show. I loved how Dec shows her that he likes her insecurities and all.

The scenes when they both get the flu are my total favorite. And I loved how these two are together. I found this story HOT, and fun and sweet and I really enjoyed reading it.

After reading (and loving, I might add) The Brightest Star, I felt that Jade was just screaming for her own book. Or was that me? Sorry not sorry. The spunky, pink haired bombshell had so much life, so much to give. I needed to see what made her tick.

Jumping inside her head was a completely different experience from what I expected. This gorgeous, well loved feisty woman was so much deeper than I had originally given her credit for. On the inside, she was me. She was you. She was so many of us that it brought me to tears of understanding. Flawed. Weak. Needy and hurting. Yet never in a way that turned me off of the story or made her annoying. She was real. She persevered. She recognized her mistakes, her shortcomings and worked to overcome them.

This was strength. The Freckles I had grown to know and love.

Of course there was Declan. Sexy as hell and just the Jackass I needed in my life. Not to mention the fact that Brighton and Seb were there, giving us tantalizing glimpses at how their Happy Ever After was going.

Don't let the fact that I have a major girl crush on Jade deter you. My love for this book is based on so much more. It came to me in a time when I needed it the most, when I felt at my most vulnerable. And it made me feel not so alone, not so weak after all. It not only gave me the escape from the world I so desperately needed, it also gave me a little more strength to face it again.

I've always been curious on the animosity between Jade and Declan. Now we know there's more that happened to start this frenemyship of sorts. Jade is prickly and sassy on the outside but inside is a softie and vulnerable woman who's been hurt. She boxed Declan into a hole naming him a jack a.

Declan waited out one year and then some always battling Jade who keeps pushing him away lumping him in with her bad past. I have to say Declan is patient and pretty awesome for sticking it out to get his second chance and prove her wrong about him. He worked for it.

I like that it took work between them nothing easy here. Lots to sort through Jade and her demons. How far will Declan really go to keep his word remains to be seen. But so far he does good. Slowly but surely with these two. I feel the small spark turn into a flame.

Fans of the Brightest Star will love that Brighton and Seb are a huge part of this. I love that they played into the story too. Declan and Jade deserve the happiness and while it wasn't a smooth ride it's all worth it. B. Cranford's story telling is infectious and entertaining. I look forward to more stories from her.

I didn’t know what to expect when I started reading this one, as I haven’t read any of B. Cranford’s work before, but I was more than happy. This was a sweet, funny sexy and heartfelt story, it ticked all the boxes for me. I really liked the banter between Jade and Declan, it made the whole story come alive. The two of them were well written, smart and quirky, but with some flaws that made them likeable.
Jade is certainly all that and more with her sassy attitude and pink hair, she’s nobody’s fool.
Declan’s hot and sexy, your typical All-American hero, but he had a bit of a possessive streak too, that came out whenever anyone showed too much interest in Jade.
Declan has made some mistakes in the past, including standing Jade up for a date a year ago, but he’s always there, begging for forgiveness. But, Jackass as Jade calls him, is not to be deterred, and no matter what Freckles, which is what he calls her, says, he’s going to keep trying. He’s determined for her to see him as a stand up guy, the man for her.
But, will she?
Can Jade forget the past and let their futures be joined.
Grab this loveable tale and find out for yourself.

I was so excited to read this book by B. Cranford. The cover grabbed me because it's different than a lot of the covers out there right now. And after reading the story, the shoes play such a significant part in the story, I love it!

Declan and Jade were easy to fall in love with. This is a perfect enemies to lovers story, although....can it really be enemies when only one of the parties hates the other? Jade can not forgive Declan for being hours late to a date a year earlier and he can't forgive himself for letting her down. All he wants is one more chance to make things right and all she wants is one person who won't walk out on her and put her first for once. Jade is definitely a little damaged and it was heartwarming to watch her come around to open herself up to a chance to love and to be loved.

The dialogue was witty and fun a lot of the time between "Freckles" and "Jackass" Jade and Declan's pet names for each other. I also fell in love with Brighton and Sebastian who were from another book which now I have to go back and read! This foursome was unforgettable. Loved it!

If you are looking for chemistry, sexual tension and some angst, then this is definitely the book for you. Now don't get me wrong. I LOVE reading about a kick-ass, confident, strong female. but I also love reading about the ones who struggle with self doubt. It makes me feel like there are others out there like me. That's what this book gives you. Jade seems confident on the outside, but she struggles with anxiety and self doubt. Her self monologue gets the best of her sometimes. Jade learns that by having loyal friends and people that love her she can learn to quieten those voices.

Declan is definitely in my top 10 of book boyfriends. He's an alpha male with a sweet and loyal side. He won't give up on Jade. He loves, accepts and protects her in such a beautiful and heartwarming way.

For me there were lots of feels in this book. Many things hit close to home. Makes me think that maybe we all just a little bit crazy. And in finding those that love and accept our crazy is the way to happiness.

B. Cranford has written a story that is crazily good, I immediately became captivated by this story with the lovable characters that had such great chemistry between then and the storyline of the book.

Jade was a character that I really could relate too and I think a lot of people could as well. She had a lot of insecurities that has made it hard for her to trust anyone. But Jade was a strong character that didn’t let anyone put it over her. Jade was such a great character.

Declan may come off as a controlling male character but he is a character that tries to protect the people that he cares about. He made a mistake at the start of the story and you could tell that he was trying to fix it. Declan was a knight in shining armour that I absolutely loved.

A little Bit Crazy was incredible written by the author and really knew how to capture her readers attention. She had everything I love in a romance story and this is definitely a story I recommend to everyone.
