I loved this series as a whole.
And I adored Nate, he had depth I was waiting to see from the glimpses of him we got in previous books and Dorcas was also very relatable.
I was so invested in Wade's story and the additional insight we kept getting every book, I really want closure for him.
But, I hated Rita (Dorcas's sister), as in - HATED. Wanted someone to slap her senseless. She really threw me off the story and out of the suspense.
Also, and this is the main reason I gave it 3.5 - the whole "oh no I can't do this it isn't professional I shouldn't act out on my feelings" just got repetitive.
Out of four books, only Ty didn't use that stupid excuse to run away from his emotions, and I admit that in the other two I understood (boss-employee, hired bodyguard-client). In this book? She's a friend he's helping out, nothing to stop him from pursuing her.
It annoyed me and felt like a sorry excuse.

This is a very exciting story, a page-turner! Dorcas needs to go to her sister Rita's house to feed her fish, as Rita is away on business. She cannot get in, as she had her bag stolen and the keys were in it, so she calls on Nate to break in for her. They find the place has been totally trashed the carpet destroyed by the twenty-five gallons of water from the destroyed fish tank. They call the police, and clear up, it doesn't appear that anything has been stolen. Dorcas cannot get in touch with Rita, and panics. When Nate takes her home, they find that has also been trashed.
They find a couple of clues left by Rita, and set of on the trail, helped by the information Nate's sister Larissa is able to find for them. It proves to be a dangerous journey! All ends happily for Nate and Dorcas, despite all the dangers that surround them; but information they discover sets Wade back on the trail of the drug baron who seriously tortured him and killed his partner Carmen. He is determined to revenge their treatment on everyone involved, and his is the next story in the series. I cannot wait to read it! Ms. Sjoberg is extremely good at racking up the tension, you have to keep turning the pages!

I always look forward to Lori Sjoberg's books. With "Can't Hold Back," she hits it out of the park ... again.
The latest in the Six Points Security series, this one features Nate, the brother who's got a reputation as a screw-up due to his past as an addict. He's been sober for years, but still struggles to prove himself to his family and colleagues. He's the first one on the scene when Dorcas, a friend of his sister-in-law (and a minor character in "Trouble In A Tight Dress"), finds her sister missing and her apartment ransacked.
From there on, it's vintage Sjoberg -- adventures, danger, romance, and slick dialogue. One of the things I appreciate most about her books is that Sjoberg doesn't get in the way of her story. There are no cutesy gimmicks, no flowery language, no unnecessary back stories -- just really good writing and crackerjack plots.
If you are lucky (or unlucky) enough to know people who need rescuing (emotionally and/or actually) and their rescuers, they're probably a lot like the people in the Six Points Security series.

This series just keeps getting better and better. Can't Hold Back is Nate's story. Not surprisingly, he is a multifaceted, deep, complex man. While Dorcas has always been attracted to Nate, it took her a while to figure out he is more than meets the eye. These two have volatile chemistry! What started out to be a small favor turns into intrigue with plenty of twists, turns, and surprises on the way to an HEA for Nate and Dorcas. While I had the villain figured out long before the reveal, I was surprised when...well...you'll just have to read the book to find out!
If you like well-written stories with believable, likable characters and plenty of twists and turns, then the is the series for you. I love the family dynamics of the Flint siblings. Each book in the series is a standalone but you will derive more enjoyment from reading the entire series in order. I am waiting impatiently for Wade's story--Book 5 in the series. I know it will be explosive!

Received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Another exciting and romantically 😍 "thrilling" book in Lori Sjoberg's Six Point Security series!! It was great reading Nate 's and Dorcas's story and reconnecting with the other familiar characters! In this book Nate and Dorcas already know each other. But when Dorcas's sister goes missing under mysterious circumstances and both their homes get thrashed, she turns to Nate for help! They are definitely attracted to each other and try not to give in to that attraction as they both think that finding her sister and solving why she went missing is the top priority. But that's easier said than done! 😏 Well I shouldn't say anything more, so I recommend reading this really good book and finding out for yourself what happens!! 😊 Worth b 5 🌟's!!!

I’ve been a fan of this series and author from the beginning of this series. Having met all the brothers in the previous books we knew Nate a little bit. Nate’s always felt he’s had to atone for his past and carries the weight on his conscience. Dorcas is friends with his sister in law Nina and when she seeks him out for help he can’t help but hope she’ll finally agree to go on a date with him. When he realises her problem is bigger than even she thought he’s in for the long haul. What follows is a struggle to stay ahead of the people hunting her. All the while looking for her sister. It’s full of drama and intrigue and love. Highly recommend this book and series

I've been reading through the series after loving Sjoberg's Grave series. The first two books in this series were really good. But then book 3, which started off good, ended as a dud. Figuring it with a one-off, i decided to give this book a try. Not a lot of chemistry, very little action, and an ending only a tiny bit less dud-dy than book 3. Also I absolutely love when there are dogs and cats I'm books, but I don't understand the purpose of the kitten in this one. To read book 5, or not to read book 5, that is the question. I've been looking forward to Wade's story, but I'm worried I'll be disappointed again. Guess I'll sleep on it.

3.75 The entertaining Flint family bond together to help a family friend find her missing sister. The troubled brother, Nate, takes the lead on protecting Dorcas. She is a Puerto Rican beauty, that has playboy Nate re-evaluating his wild ways. I find Nate’s work with the homeless very interesting. It was prominent in Book 2 and continues in this installment.
The storyline involving Wade’s past continues to intersect into the plots. I looking forward to his book.
The author does an outstanding job balancing the romance with the suspense. Plus, she adds in the prefect amount of steaminess!

I love this series. Lori is one of my favourite Authors and this is the latest book in the Six Points Security series. As always, it grabs you from the start and keeps you reading until the end. A kind hearted hunk and all his other hunky brothers doing what they do best - keeping people safe and finding romance along the way. If you haven't read any of the series yet, go and buy them immediately. You won't be disappointed. Looking forward to the next one already.

Lori has a great way of developing characters in her story and I warn you once you start reading, it is hard to stop. This new book in the series is no exception to that.
I love the way Lori weaves in the other characters from the series without diluting the main story. It is well written and the story flows effortlessly.
You will fall in love with Nate and Dorcas.

I'm still really enjoying this series. As always with this author, the book is well-written, and I enjoyed the interplay between the two characters. I also like the supporting characters (and I'm really hoping for stories about them too and not just the family members!). I'm really, really looking forward to Wade's story as I'd picked him out as particularly interesting in a previous book. Meanwhile, this book was a good. enjoyable read.

I love all the twists and action all of these stories has. I love the love scenes the best. You really know how to keep us all worked up and on the edge of our seats. Nate might have made mistakes when he was younger but he has a firm hold on himself now. Dorcas is one lucky woman to catch him. Hopefully no more trouble will come their way. Thank you. I am loving this series.

Very exciting!
At first I wasn't sure how this story would play out. More exciting and more intense as the plot unfolded. By the end, Dorcas has saved Nate from from his demons just as we knew she would while Nate & his kickass family saved her sister. Very exciting plot! Well written & well edited. Cannot wait for Wade's story.

Loved it
Lori has done it again. She's delivered another riveting book that I couldn't put down. Dorcas and Nate had a few adventures while trying to find Her sister Rita. Along the way they fell in love. Loved it can't wait for the next.

I love the way Lori Sjoberg writes big bad alphas that fall hard for smart women! This is a great addition to an addictive series! It’s smartly written with great suspense and heart. If you enjoy romantic suspense, don’t hold back, just read this! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.

Great Series!
I love this series, the ever present thread of a drug lord in the story. The Flint brothers and their romances, together with adventure and mystery. They have been a fun read and I can’t wait for the next one!

This was just your standard bodyguard/ actress romance. The two of them spend a lot of time together and fall in love but he feels he'd never fit into her lifestyle.

You got to learn more about Nate in this book and also you got to see more of how his brother Wade is feeling too.. The Strong family Relationship in this book between the brothers you can feel how much love the Flint brothers have for each other..

It was really sweet to see a strong family relationship and strong friendship throughout the book.. The romance was really good in the story and i am glad they got a happy ending.. I liked that the flint brothers see everyone that works at Six Points Security for them like family..

It was really sweet to see a strong family relationship and strong friendship throughout the book.. The romance was really good in the story and i am glad they got a happy ending.. I liked that the flint brothers see everyone that works at Six Points Security for them like family..

Its sad to see how much the Flint brothers are wanting to help there brother wade because they don't like to see that he is hurting but they don't know how to help wade and i can't wait to read Wade's story..

quite enjoyed this one, more than the previous two books in the series (but not as much as the first one). I thought it was well-paced and the suspense and romance plotlines worked well together.
I liked both of the main characters. Dorcas was entertaining and I liked how she stood up for herself. Nate was sweet but tough, a nice combination. Their relationship worked well for me; I think it helped that they were already meant to be somewhat familiar with each other, so a lot of the work had already been done. They had good chemistry, some hot scenes together, and some sweet moments.
The suspense plotline worked better for me than the previous two books. This storyline was much, much more present throughout the book as a whole and never felt like an afterthought; the plot overall was driven by the events of Rita’s disappearance, which I thought was a good thing. It had a few twists and turns and there was always something new happening - it was set up very well, and didn’t detract from the romantic element, either.
Also, I liked all the scenes with the kitten, they were really cute, and the scenes at Jackson and Navarre’s house I also think the relationships between the Flint siblings is shown really well, I like scenes where they interact with each other.
It just didn’t hit as many buttons for me as I thought it would. I did enjoy reading it, but I wasn’t as enamoured with it as I could have been. But there wasn’t anything I actively didn’t like. It was better than the previous two books - for what it was, though, it was enjoyable and well-paced.
I would recommend it if you want a fast-paced, easy-to-read romantic suspense novel with a few twists and turns.
