Josefine Ottesen is one of Denmark’s most popular authors of books for children and young people, in terms of both enjoyment and sales.
During the last 25 years, Josefine’s authorship has, on several occasions, set the agenda on the Danish children’s book scene. The many national awards and international nominations she has received, covering several different works, testify to her broad appeal and popularity.

Believathon III - The Flash of Lightning: A book featuring folktales

Wydaje mi się, że książka pasuje do tego wyzwania, bo bazuje na historii Królowej Śniegu.

Niestety większość książek z serii o W.I.T.C.H. jest raczej średnia i ta też się do nich zalicza. Pomysł na historię jest całkiem fajny, ale o wiele lepiej sprawdziłby się jako komiks niż książka. Historia ma lepsze momenty, które mi się podobały, ale jednak w wielu miejscach wszystko jest takie skrótowe i powierzchowne. Gdyby zabrać te piękne ilustracje komiksowe, których jest kilka w tej książce, i stworzyć z nich komiks, wyszłoby moim zdaniem o wiele lepiej.

I've wanted to read this ever since I was obsessed with W.I.T.C.H ever since I was like 10. I'm glad to say it did not disappoint. I loved seeing the cold Cornelia as she's one of my favourite characters (alongside Will), I loved all the settings and the Ice Kingdom. I would have loved to see, however, more of Cornelia and the Ice Queen's interactions and more time with them in the Kingdom instead of following the rest of the 4 girls closely while trying to find Cornelia. I also wanted to see a more evil, ruthless Cornelia. But overall, a solid 4-star read <3

W.i.t.c.h. at it again! This time having problems with ice. Luckily, the Oracle always knows what's up. Somewhat stalling, even though there are only around 100 pages.

I remember this as a nice and entertaining book. If you are a W.i.t.c.h fan you should definitely read it.

Josefine Ottesen is a nice Danish author, so you should not have any qualms about reading a book written by her. I have read and enjoyed several of this lady's books. They are well-written and especially well-researched (if there is a word for that!) Ottesen does her work thorough and cleanly, no complaints there. Read this, read her other books.
