The love spell

Although it was a great read especially the relationship between the sisters and now the father they meet for the first time in years I was surprised and disappointed to discover that their mother had cast a love spell on their father. This seems to make a mockery of the deep love between their parents as it is not love but a spell holding them together.
Spring break is upon them and so Echo has come home. She has read some disquieting news about a lion (or some other big cat) being seen in the area. Plus she wants to make sure that her candle business is still thriving. Her return coincides with a court case in which Harvest has been caught up. A riot broke out and a innocent bystander killed by a Trooper. His widow is now set to marry his brother, however the row is caused by the widow being just 16. A surprise witness rushes in to explain that he is only looking after the widow and her two small children. However the biggest surprise is that he's the triplets father and that the company, HR manager, he consults with has set her heart to get him and break the love he feels for his wife (even though she is stuck in another dimension and has been gone for years). Later the Trooper goes missing and evidence of a big cat are found at the scene. Plus two children are having nightmares about a shadowy cat. Where is the Trooper? Why are the children dreaming of a black cat? Can the girls (along with their father) get to the bottom of this and stop the nightmares?

The third book in the series, and the best yet in my opinion gives credence to the saying, third time's the charm. In this book the triplet witches are stronger than ever, and delighted that their father is in the area on business. He represents an African man who works for the United International Refineries and his young wife who was originally married to the man's brother. However, when the brother was killed by gangs in the United States, the older brother followed African tradition and wed his brother's widow to take care of her and her children. Both Harvest and Quinn are at the courthouse in connection with their jobs and this case. It was a happy reunion with their father.

When Echo decides to come home rather than take off on spring break to sunny (warm!) Florida, she, too, is thrilled to see her father. But as the girls talk to their father and go about their jobs, they discover there is another visitor to the area. It is something big and mysterious that has come to hunt the gangs who killed the African man and a policeman in the McDonald's parking lot. It was a Detroit gang v.s. a Pennsylvania gang that killed the African man (an innocent bystander) and a policeman who was trying to break up the fighting. Now a black shadow lion is on the prowl looking for restitution.

As the unknown shadow is sensed by others and leaves bodies in it's path, the sisters take on the lion to protect the innocent. The author's sinister description and shocking discoveries lead to an exciting and unexpected conclusion. Once again the sisters take on witchcraft they do not understand because they are such good people. They champion youth and the decent people that come near the path of the lion. It is fascinating to read about this purely mythical beast and feel like you could be reading about true witchcraft belief. I am amazed that the author has researched legends so much that she can write one for her book and have it be completely believable!

From start to finish, this book builds in intensity, helped along by good characters and believable situations. I can't recommend this book enough to mystery readers, to witchcraft readers, and to those who like books that stretch your imagination. The lines of fact and fiction begin to blur into another great story told by Constance Barker.I am thrilled I was offered the opportunity to read this book pre-publication. The opinions expressed in this review are strictly my own.

The triplets are in for a surprise when their father shows up for a visit. He is representing a South African family that might be involved with witchery themselves. When a murder occurs and a lion spotted, the girls begin to wonder if the past isn’t creeping back into the present. Can they (with the help of their dad) take down a witch with unlimited powers?

What I love most about this serious is the dynamics between the sisters. While there are a number of years between them, they look very much alike. However, each girl has her own personality and magical gift that works well with her other sisters. As they grow into their powers, they have lots of questions pertaining to their parentage, but always seem so far away from getting the answers.

If you enjoy magical mysteries with some wit, adventure, multidimensional characters, and lots of twists and turns, then the Triplet Witch series is just right for you.

Bewitched and Bewildered

This is the third book in the Triplet Witch Sisters series, and every bit as good as the first two. We met their mother in book 2, Resting Witch Face, and this time we meet their father. When cultural customs run afoul of the law, he comes to town to lend his anthropological expertise to the case. Unfortunately, dark magic also comes, in the form of a shadow lion. Each sister sees part of the puzzle and they put it together with the help of Dad and some of the people involved. They will have to use their advancing knowledge and power to repel the lion and the dark force behind it. Along the way, we learn more about their history, their parents and their capabilities.

This is another solid story, well written and evenly paced. It kept my interest - in fact, I stayed up late to finish it the same day I started. I look forward to the next book and the one after that.

Love a book that you can sit down and read in one sitting. Fun, enjoyable , easy to read, great characters, I could go on.

I gained more insight into the girls' particular strengths. Love that and the special items that their dad gave them. Interesting how different cultures think of witches and what qualifies as witchcraft.

I loved how the author was able to give a small reminder of the book before without giving the whole story away. I just needed that refresher so I instantly remember the characters and fell right into the story line. that said the book does standalone so you can jump in here, not be lost but want to catch up with previous stories.

This is my second book in this series . I missed the first one and definitely need to go and read it.

This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.

The worlds the triplets live and work in are many, and multi-colored. And not all the varieties live well side by side.

Crazy things happen when mystical powers, beings and realms are in play.

Fun stuff with their dad home - sort of? Who would find their predicament anything less than frustrating, and the complete lack of prep by their family and parents - ludicrous!

How can they defend or fight against things that are so far out of their understanding, and so little on the edge of perception for most - until it is too late.

How do the ladies work to find a balance when the paths they must take, and the means they have, change so often?

A befuddling, yet fun, series of epic adventure!

The girls father is in town for a visit. They are hoping he will have some answers for them about their parentage. Then there is the problem with the magical shadow lion that is eating people. That has to be stopped. And of course they are still trying to get their mother to answer questions that helps and not adds to their long line of questions. There is a lot going on in this book, but it keeps your attention, I was hoping for more answers. Did I get them? You will have to read the book to find out. This book was fast paced that did not skip out maintaining my attention. This book seemed to have a bit of time that passed from the second to the third. The reader may feel as if they may have missed something, but you really don't. The triplets were able to learn a little bit more about their parents, but I was hoping that the ladies would be able to learn much more about themselves. Still a good story line. Can't wait to read more.

Fun Magical Mystery Adventure!
This is the first book I’ve read from the series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The triplets join forces with Dad for one exciting, fast paced race to stop a magical shadow lion on the prowl. Great characters and intriguing drama makes me want to read the rest of the series. Enjoy!

Paranormal Murders at Spring Break
This time the triplet witches need a lot of help fighting against a paranormal murderer. This is a short, novella-length story that takes off where the last episode ended. The plot is great and well executed. This series just keeps getting better with each book. I received this ARC book for free and this is my honest review.

This book is relatively fast-paced and extremely interesting. I enjoy this series as I am familiar with the triplets and their antics. I find this story very intriguing in this alternative setting with a lot of imagination to cause turmoil here and there.

Holy smokes! That was an intense story! Twists and turns kept me on my toes and kept me from seeing the whole picture! I loved that the girls’ dad was working with them, and I loved the twist involving him! Wow!

Great Series

I am always pleasantly surprised when I think I know what I am going to read and I read something different, something unexpected. Very good mystery. But I still don't know why they are triplets. I think I can guess, but this author is full of surprises, so only she knows. Time to tell all.

Not as good as I was expecting

Too many characters to keep tracking. I am getting older so that may be part of the problem. Otherwise I enjoyed it.

This book continues the adventures of the triplet witches, this time they meet their father for the first time in many years, and also come up against a magical shadow lion which is killing people.
The three must combine their various skills to find out who is bringing this beast into the human realm, and stop them.
I found this book to be the best of the series so far, the story is clearer and whilst there are still enough characters to make it interesting, and provide various possible culprits there are less to keep track of than in book two, which makes it an easier read.
I am looking forward to seeing what the next book brings for the three witches, and how their powers develop.
