I found Metaworld Chronicles by accident on Royal Road a few days ago and promptly lost my entire spring break to it. It's a monster of a web serial (currently sitting at a whopping 3,985 pages) but was well worth the read. Great world-building with a fascinating urban fantasy setting, strong characters, and a memorable supporting cast. Can be a little slow at times, but that's more due to the format of the series than anything.

Overall - strong recommend.

(Currently on chapter 233/238).

I first found Metaworld Chronicles on RoyalRoad on the 4th page of its best rated; and I was not disappointed. The combination of a diverse and satisfyingly nostalgic magic-system, combined with a self-aware and reasonably astute female lead, engendered a giddy feeling in me when reading this beautiful book.
I understand that it has its flaws, as all online fiction possesses; but the author's willingness to take on constructive feedback, the community around this fiction which is at a word count over 1.2 million! I must say this alternate-reality, urban fantasy, thriller, drama, and litRPG deserves all the praise it has attained online and I hope it receives more so in the future.
I am thoroughly satisfied with this book, based of online standards and how it has developed over time, and I look forward to the release of more volumes to support and enjoy.

Extremely Bland novel , that survives on the strength of its female lead, It China arc to be was fascinating and an interesting look into How Chinese establ;ishment mind function. But in an effort to humanize China they also inadvertently justify the excesses China does in the name of BNational Security.
Our FMC's reaction to that whole arc and potrayal of Chinese State was weird and fully disconnected me to her. I was only survivng on the strengths of FMC, but now I have lost ay hopes in the series.

Highly recommend to anyone who want to have a look at Chinese establishment's psyche in a empathetic Light, this was refreshingly first time that I sort of get it why China do what they do in the real world. And for that I am extremely thankful to the author (Though I don't agree with China one bit, and this portrayal doesn't change my view as to what they are doing is right or wrong, Kinda like Ilvriss who react after knowing about Az'kerash past).. Interestengly it also depicted how such aggressive policy is memefied across generations.

Purely on the account for quality of the novel, there is nothing new here , and most of the side characters are boring. In short this novel was not me from start may be around 3.75, and while Chinese arc peaked my interests by the portrayal of Chinese establishment, it thoroughly disconnected my only connecting pov to the series that is FMC, so it dropped to 2.75 and Hence I am abandoning it.

I would very much like to know the source based on which the Author created the portrayal of Chinese Establishment , as that in itself would be a riveting read.

It’s okay if you want a lighthearted book featuring serious themes that aren’t taken seriously. I suppose the characters didn’t feel realistic to me.

- Dropped Ch. 11

I made it to chapter 24, while it wasn't bad, I also didn't really get drawn into the story and don't really have much desire to continue this for now.

Not sure if "omnibus" is the whole series or not. I read upt ot chapter 465 on royal road, the beginning was rough, but by the middle it is impossible to put down.
