Maybe what they needed most was there all along…

Delaney Phillips, a divorced mom, works for her longtime best friend Wyatt Andrews at Cabins in the Pines. Wyatt inherited the rustic resort from his father, and both he and Delaney have made countless happy memories there. After a highway bypass leaves it a little too off the beaten path, they’ll do just about anything to keep it open.

At Delaney’s urging, Wyatt auditions for a reality TV program that helps businesses in trouble. The show’s glamorous host arrives with her camera crew, turning the place upside down in hilarious and alarming ways.

But Delaney doesn’t like the woman’s new plans for the business…or her designs on Wyatt. Because even though Delaney’s known him since the first grade, she’s slowly but surely falling in love with him. Can she help him see the cabins—and their relationship—in a different light?

This clean romance includes a free Hallmark original recipe for Blueberry Cottage Cheese Pancakes.

A cute read of love and romance between best friends Delaney and Wyatt. Delaney works for Wyatt as his manager at Cabins in the Pines. When reservations go down, Delaney submits an audition video to a reality TV program. And they arrive along the TV star Alex. Jealousy occurs, and Delaney and Wyatt soon find themselves questioning if love could happen...

Cassidy Carter and Hallmark Publishing have done it again, made me feel mushy and sweet. Both the characters were warm, fun, and real. The friendship between them felt genuine, their banter was exactly how best friends speak. The book caught me smiling imagining the scenes. The entire setting was described beautifully.

Overall, Cassidy's writing felt warm and heartwarming. She brought longings of my heart to the forefront. This was just a perfect read on a Sunday afternoon.

2.5 = it was fine

I’m not that into this genre, and I, like very few people, am not a sucker for a Hallmark movie. I avoid them, and can’t lose myself in the stupid sap, I just can’t.

This one started off okay, at a 3-star pace but it just kept going for too long and it didn’t manage to capture a ‘will they ever get there’ feeling for me, it just got annoying.

I thought the business offer plot was flimsy and I thought Alex, the show host, was also flimsy and not thought through.

I am trying to be less critical of romances and to learn to appreciate them for what they are, but this one was just boring.

Maybe they really just aren’t for me, but when people like them, don’t they see these obvious weaknesses in plot and character?

Cabins in the Pines has been in Wyatt Andrews family for years. Business was always good until a highway bypass made it difficult to get to. With the decline in reservations and several things breaking down, Wyatt will need to do something if he's going to keep his family legacy going.

Delaney Phillips has been best friends with Wyatt since the first grade. They were inseparable growing up and have always been there for each other. When Delaney got divorced, it was Wyatt's family who helped her pick up the pieces and move on with her life. She loves being the property manager and is always looking for ways to improve the Pines.

While watching one of her favorite reality TV shows, Delaney gets the idea to submit an audition video to ABC's of Business to see if they'll come out and film an episode at the Pines. If chosen, there's a chance that the much needed improvements will start bringing business in again.

But when Delaney discovers she's being kept out of the loop on important decisions and the host of the show starts taking a special liking to Wyatt, she starts doubting her decision to bring the show out to their little slice of heaven.

Everyone at the Pines will need to band together to do whatever it takes to not only keep the business going, but to help Delaney and Wyatt open their eyes and see what's standing right in front of them. If anyone deserves a HEA, it's them.

*dreamy sigh*

You guys! Can I just tell you how cute Love on Location is? I found myself being transported to Cabins in the Pines and did not want to leave! I laughed out loud, got frustrated and found myself letting out little dreamy sighs while reading. I really enjoyed getting to know Delaney and Wyatt and found myself rooting for them from the very beginning. The characters were fun, the setting was picturesque and the romance was sweet. What more could you ask for?

I love finding new authors! This is my first book by Ms. Carter and I can tell you it won't be my last. I'm looking forward to seeing what she has in store for us next!

Can we just take a minute to admire these two?! I love them as Delaney and Wyatt!

I chose to be your friend, but falling in love with you was out of my control...

I have read all genres in books, but I have always had a soft spot for sweet romance. Love on Location fits this perfectly. The hero and heroine of this story are best friends. They have known each other since they were children.

Wyatt is owner of Cabins in the Pines. It's a family business that he is proud to run. Delaney is a single mom who works for Wyatt. After Wyatt's parents pass away the business suffered. Also a highway bypass was responsible for the resort suffering. Delaney has an idea to boost the business by enlisting The Cabins in the Pines into a popular renovation reality show that would give them exposure to get their name out there. But problems and stress are experienced during filming the show. It threatens Wyatt and Delaney's relationship and puts it to the test.

I loved the repartee between Wyatt and Delaney. It was also a treat watching their friendship bloom into something more. This story is an endearing and charming story of romance.

It’s been a long, LONG time since I’ve read anything that even closely resembles a “romance” novel. The #mahangirlsbookclub chose this because we needed something light and simple this month. Well, this book was definitely that.

The thing I liked best about this story was the setting. It takes place at a woodland resort called Cabins in the Pines, and every over-the-top description of it reminded me of our own family trips to a similar venue. So I enjoyed picturing this place as it triggered many fond memories of our own yearly family trips.

As far as the story itself, and its characters, it was all so formulaic that I had to make myself keep reading. Delaney is a divorced single mom. She works at this struggling resort with Wyatt, her childhood friend and the owner of the facility. They grew up together on this land, but now the business is in danger of failing. A new highway bypass has made access to the cabins less convenient, and they desperately need modern upgrades to the cabins and to their technology.

Delaney decides to submit their business to a reality show that comes in and pours money into failing enterprises and films the “before” and “after”. (Think Shark Tank meets Fixer Upper) But the confident, aggressive host of the show seems to want to steam-roll Wyatt into decisions that would change the whole atmosphere of the Pines. That, combined with the whole “I think I’m falling in love with my best friend, but what if he/she doesn’t feel the same way?”, is supposed to create the tension and fuel the plot.

I just ran out of patience with the plot. Every description of the resort was so overdone. It was like every scene was explained like it was a vacation brochure. And when you know from the beginning that Delaney and Wyatt will end up together, after lots of “what did he mean by that” and “what if I admit my feelings, and it ruins our friendship”, PLUS the last-minute misunderstanding and argument..., it turns a into a chore to get to the end.

One other thing that did pleasantly surprise me was the way the final decision concerning the fate of the resort was achieved. I approved.

If you are a fan of Hallmark movies, and G-rated romance, then you may enjoy this book. It is a decent poolside read, if nothing else. ⭐️⭐️

I am so happy to have discovered Hallmark Publishing and I am thankful for their generosity in offering free ebooks to me with no requirement to review them.
I enjoyed this story immensely. The characters are everyday people just trying to maintain a family campground business. Then Delaney got the idea to submit them for one of those business rehab reality shows. In the craziness of production, Delaney and Wyatt, her boss and best friend, are forced to deal with the truth of their feelings for each other. This is a wholesome and family friendly treatment and I recommend it to anyone interested in a fun and feel-good read.

Love on Location was a sweet, clean, friends-to-lovers romance. It was super easy to see from the beginning where it was going to go, but Cassidy Carter did a really great job writing all of the details in so the reader doesn’t lose interest.

I really enjoyed the trope of friends-to-lovers mixed with reality television mixed with a fixer upper narrative. It was pretty different than anything I’ve ever read before in a romance novel. The fact that they were willing to make it work in this small town where the reality show wanted to come in and change everything was a true testament for how things are nowadays. It was an awesome way to show the other side of the small businesses and things of that sort.

I really liked the characters. Delaney and Wyatt for sure had the chemistry that I like to see in a friends-to-lovers novel. I felt it in every word between them which is hard to do! The only reason why I gave this story a four-star rating is because I’m not someone who likes woman/woman jealousy. I don’t like the idea of a woman being so jealous over another woman and holding back because they don’t want to interfere. This book doesn’t really have the room for a jealousy intrusion. I didn’t really see how it fit.

Overall, I really enjoyed Love on Location‘s story. It wasn’t something I’ve read before and I really loved the character development. I will for sure read more of Cassidy Carter’s books when they come out!

This is such sweet and cozy friends-to-lovers romance! I’ve generally liked the Hallmark books I’ve read, but I think this one has to be my favorite so far!

“Come to the Cabins in the Pines—beautiful vistas, relaxing, remote location—and hardly any campers!”

Delaney and Wyatt were childhood best friends who grew up together playing at his parent’s campground. As adults, they’ve reconnected after Delaney moved back with her daughter, Rachel, after her divorce and Wyatt inherited the campground after his parents died in a car accident. But after a highway bypass went in, the campgrounds are in an out-of-the-way location, leading to less visitors and no money to make necessary improvements, like a website or broken plumbing. Without Wyatt’s knowledge, Delaney contacts a reality TV show that’s known for overhauling businesses and helping them become profitable. It seems like a miracle – until the TV show arrives. But the TV show means change, and the revisions the gorgeous host intends may mean losing the Pines forever – and Wyatt with it. In trying to save the campgrounds, will Delaney and Wyatt ruin their chances at a relationship?

Delaney’s a wonderful character. Wyatt’s a fan of classic movies and teasingly calls her “his girl Friday” for her problem-solving acumen. As the office manager, she’s incredibly resourceful and the first person anyone goes to when something goes wrong, always figuring out what the campground can barter when a problem occurs. For instance, when one of the diner’s refrigerators goes down, she bargains them using extra fridge space for letting a local rancher’s cows graze on the campgrounds. Though we also get his POV, I found Wyatt a little annoying clueless. He frequently refers to her as his best friend and his rock since childhood, but is completely oblivious to there being anything else between them.

“Wyatt realized he hadn’t minded having his arm around her, either—and the thought made a slow warmth creep into his chest. As crazy as it was, he let the warmth sit there and expand a bit. Delaney wasn’t his, at least not in any romantic sense. She was his best friend, his right-hand woman, and that was all.
Is that really all?

I loved how the playful best friend banter between Delaney and Wyatt slowly became more flirtatious. At the start of the book, Delaney’s realized that she has feelings for Wyatt but is reluctant to tell him for fear of ruining their friendship. Wyatt, as mentioned, is oblivious, but when the filming crew ask him about his relationship with Delaney, he starts questioning whether there could be something more between them. There was one particular scene that I loved. Wyatt comes over with a pizza and watches TV with Delaney and her daughter. It was just such a sweet, normal moment, and I loved seeing that aspect of how they’d become a family. My usual critique of “behind closed doors” romance is that it requires a lot more skill on the author’s side to convince me of the relationship, and I think Ms. Carter did that wonderfully.

As for cons, I’m not a big fan of other women/jealousy subplots, and there is one with Alex, the star of the reality show. I never quite got her motivation for it, and Alex is a bit of mercurial character, acting one way with Delaney and another in front of the cameras. I’m also not a big fan of reality TV shows (which is hilarious, because the last Hallmark book I read also had a TV show component) but I worried the author would choose to make the TV crew jaded and mean compared to our scrappy country heroes, but it luckily avoided that. In contrast, I adored the campground staff. They’re more than just coworkers – they’re a family who loves each other and the campgrounds. They all seemed well-characterized to me, and I loved the little side romance between a TV crew person and the diner’s cook.

Overall, I thought this book was sweet and heartwarming, exactly what you’d expect from a Hallmark book. If you like bestfriends-to-lovers, reality TV shows, or just want to read something cozy, I’d definitely recommend this book!

Do you prefer to read your Hallmark romance or watch it? Movie or Book sometime this can be a tough one for me, but in this case, the author gave me all the visual pictures I needed in this wonderful book, that I could almost smell the pine trees. This is a sweet friend to love read that will captivate you with all the loving and caring characters. I love that it was not the classic Hallmark kiss at the end the ending was just perfect and very different in a way. I would love to read more about some of the other characters in this wonderful story as they all gave me a feeling of having their own story to tell. I highly recommend this heart-warming romance.

Delaney Phillips works for her best friend Wyatt Andrews at his families business called “Cabins in the Pines”. A very rustic and loved family campground that has seen better days but is still so loved they all that work there. Delaney has to do something she is unsure if Wyatt will agree with but she has only had the business needs and the staff at the top of-of her motivation for this new idea. The Andrews family had always been there for her during her life and after her divorce, they were so supportive of her and her daughter.

“She felt the little glimmer of hope in her heart, sparked by the thought that he’d consider her plan, turn into something warm and affectionate that she had no business feeling for her best friend?

Wyatt Andrews inherited his families campground when his parents passed away tragically and his only wish is to keep the business running has his parents and grandparents ran it from the star. But he is almost running out of money and ideas to keep the doors open and his staff paid. His staff is more like family, as his aunt is his receptionist and his very best friend from his childhood is his number one employee. He would be lost without Delaney in his business and in this personal life as they both share their love of “Cabins in the Pines” from their childhood together. The new bypass in town has caused the slow decline in traffic to the campground and will the rundown of facilities how can they make it all work?

“You're telling me that you volunteered the campground as the a…a…a filming location for this TV show without telling me?”

A reality TV show “ABC’s of Business” is coming to the “Cabins in the Pines” but will it be for the better of the campground or will it seal the end that has been coming for a while know?

Will the show bring more changes than just the amenities of the campground?

Will Wyatt and Delaney finally face their true feelings.

“Delaney felt more for Wyatt than mere friendship, but she had no idea if he felt the same way. And she would never have the courage to find out.”

Wyatt’s friendship was too costly to find out and lose what they had already for the hope of anything more.

“She was starting to feel like the line between reality TV and reality was getting a little blurred.”

I received an ARC from the publisher through NetGalley. the opinions expressed in this review are my own opinions.

As much as I want to say that I absolutely adored and fell head over heels in love with this story, just as Delaney and Wyatt are for one another...unfortunately I can't. That's certainly not to say that this wasn't enjoyable to read - it was, nor is it to say that I found any of the characters annoying or that the writing was bad or anything to that effect. It was fine, and it would be a great book for many others who enjoy this type of - girl-loves-boy-but-is-scared-of-ruining-friendship kind of story line. But personally, this book just didn't 'click' with me - I found it more of an effort to finish the book than I have with others from Hallmark, or even from Cassidy Carter. I wasn't the hugest fan of the way the reality show was written in, for some reason, it just didn't feel 'right' - and perhaps that's because of how awful the show's host was (as it was meant to be), or perhaps just because the show didn't sound like something I would watch...
Overall:
This is a cute and sweet story about two best friends, Delaney and Wyatt, along the lines of your typical (which I need to stress is not a bad thing) best friends - soul mates storyline. Wyatt owns and runs his family business of Cabins in the Pines, a camping and holiday spot which is how shall we say..a little worse for wear. Delaney is divorced and has a sweet daughter, and she convinces Wyatt to audition for the reality show "The ABC's of Business", and the stories and drama go from there.
Characters:
Perhaps here is where I struggled the most with this novel - I just felt that the characters were a bit too...boring? or perhaps plain? They had personality sure, but I just felt I was missing that spark from either Delaney or Wyatt. They both seemed to be quite laid-back and the quiet type. They fit well as a couple, but I just missed that spark.
Speaking of spark however, I straight up disliked/hated Alex - as I think I was supposed to. If anything, it's possible that her characters bipolarity/duplicity was overdone, although towards the end it was nice to see her become more nuanced, with dimension as to the nature and reasoning of her behaviour.
Storyline:
The storyline was fine, with a few 'shocks' here and there, specifically re:the tv show *cough cough*the rat*cough cough*, and nothing too much out of the ordinary - the usual twists and turns of a best-friends romance. I'm not complaining, I love a good best friends romance as much as the next gal, but overall, it was just normal.

Perhaps, not my favourite book I've read this year, but by no means does that mean I didn't like it. I did. But the placidity of the characters (by my assessment - not everyone may agree) and perhaps a lack of connection between myself and the writing, meant that I only just 'liked' this novel and didn't fall head over heels for it. Overall, still a nice read, particularly if you're looking for an easy, sweet best friends romance.

NB: I was generously provided an ARC of this novel from the publisher and author via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

Best friends are falling in love with each other, while trying to save the campground they work at. Will they give into love? Can they save the campground they love so much? What happens when they must contend with a reality show shooting on location?

Delaney has feelings for her best friend but doesn't know if Wyatt feels the same. As the campground manager and owner they're constantly together. Their lives have been intertwined since they were young children. She and her daughter move to her hometown after her divorce and Wyatt's family were her life line by giving her a job. Del as her friends call her is always pulling deals to keep the campground going but has come up with a plan that she needs to tell him about. Wyatt is worried about the future of the campground and goes to the local bank for a loan. When he returns to the campground she tells him of the application she's made to a reality show who revitalizes businesses. After considering it they go ahead with the idea. They spiff up the campground and the TV crew come. Delaney likes the host but soon has second thoughts when she and Wyatt seem to be getting close. She also doesn't like the things that have been done to add drama to the show. During filming some very personal questions are asked. Wyatt and Delaney become closer, but are reluctant to show each other their feelings because they want to keep the best friendship. They almost kiss when the gang at the campground take a break while the renovations are made. Wyatt is given an ultimatum about the business. He's torn and wants to talk to Delaney. A party is planned for revealing the changes. Delaney's daughter gets sick putting her going to the party, but she goes when the daughter is feeling better. Wyatt and Delaney get closer only to be torn apart when he must go talk to people connected to the show. Delaney's cell phone has her looking for a charger and she over hears part of the deal that is being made. It upsets her so much that she leaves the party. When Wyatt comes to explain, she's too anger and upset to listen. She reveals her feelings to him. He tries to reach her several time to talk but she has lost her phone. The TV host hands over the phone. Wyatt has suspicions about the host and her motives when she calls him late one night. A friend brings Delaney some information. They race to the campground trying to reach Wyatt to stop him with another idea to choose from. They make it in time and discuss their feelings and the new plan. A wedding takes place and the venture is a successful.

If you like Hallmark movies you'll love their line of books that they've started to publish. This was my first of their books that I've read. Cassidy Carter writes a sweet and heart warming story of love that changes two people from best friend and take it to the next level. That your family can be who you want it to be. An adversary can become a friend. I'll come back again for a story of romance and love from the experts in the area Hallmark and Cassidy Carter.

I've enjoyed reading Hallmark books whether they'd be the originals or film novelizations. However, there was something about this story that rubbed me the wrong way. I think the reality show angle played a role in that experience, especially the idea of playing up drama when there was none to be found. That felt exploitative, but true to life since some reality shows are guilty of causing mischief to gain ratings.

The characters were well-defined for the most part, the setting was beautiful and the plot was one of those heart-tugging ones that make you not help but root for victory for the protagonists. Ursula and Rachel were some of my favorite characters. Whereas, I wasn't too crazy about Delaney and Wyatt. The chemistry was there, but something was missing for me. Wyatt's nickname for Delaney was a riot and I loved Delaney's quick thinking ideas to resolve problems, though. The idea of also staying true to what was started by Wyatt's family was also powerful. Maybe the approach with the show in a different way might have made the characters and story better for me. I would have loved to see more around Maisie and Charles, frankly, because they, in a romantic sense, were more interesting.

Alex, the host of the show, was awful. I despised her from the start! Some of the scenes involving her were appalling and had me wondering why the main characters didn't get rid of her sooner. She also seemed very one-dimensional to me. With past Hallmark books, some characters would surprise me and give me a different impression by the end. However, Alex is the rare exception. I still didn't like her by the end of the story, even though the lesson she had to learn was a great one.

The final couple of chapters were the best part for me and very romantic comedy themed which I enjoyed. If the entire story was like that, I might have enjoyed it more.

However, if you're a camping/outdoor enthusiast and like reality tv shows (I got some HGTV vibes in this case), the book might be a better fit for you. Again, the writing is great, but the premise didn't work for me.

Is there only one solution? Be surprised!
Cassidy Carter writes family-centered romances. "Love on Location" is her second book published by Hallmark Publishing after "The perfect Catch". Delaney Phillips is glad to be working at the "Cabins in the Pines" campground and cabins although the place is not running well anymore. She is divorced and has a daughter, Rachel. In order to improve things she had the idea to sent an audition video to get the "Cabins in the Pines" on "The ABC's of Business" reality TV show to make it known and get new customers. Wyatt Andrews is Delaney's boss and childhood friend. He is also the owner of "Cabins in the Pines" and does not want the world to know that he is failing with what his parents and grandparents built up. One of the struggles of "Cabins in the Pines" is caused by a new highway bypass that leaves the "Cabins in the Pines" isolated. Hr is trying to get a loan from the bank. Others, such as his aunt Ursula, Maisie, and Slatter, invest themselves well, but it is not enough and the deal that the bank offers to Wyatt is not acceptable.
Alexandra Brent-Collingsworth is the organizer and financial force of "The ABC's of Business" reality TV show. Her improvements of "The Cabins in the Pines" that are done while filming the parts for the TV show go beyond Delaney's wish list, but will her ultimate goal be acceptable to Wyatt, will it be the only logical solution, or is there another solution for all of them?
This is the first book by Cassidy Carter which I read and I highly recommend it to readers who are looking for an easy read that also offers some surprises. It is a clean and wholesome romance story with enjoyable and believable, even if sometimes annoying characters. Additionally the book includes the Hallmark recipe for "Blueberry Cottage Cheese Pancakes."
The complimentary copy of this book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley free of charge. I was under no obligation to offer a positive review. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

If you’re in the mood for a friends-to-lovers romance that will keep you securely in the feel-good zone, then LOVE ON LOCATION should be on your to-pick-up list.

Delaney and Wyatt have been friends since childhood, now as adults, they’re facing the realities of keeping a campground in working order and finding campers after the highway did a number on their location. Delaney has a great idea — except, it didn’t quite work out as she intended… at all.

For some reason, this reality show reminded me of Bar Rescue where no one really gets a say in what they truly want and the entire establishment is changed and moved around… and not always for the better in my opinion. I don’t know why it’s the only reality show my family watches… but there ya go. Our guilty secret. In many ways, this is exactly what Delaney introduced to her environment when she thought of a surprise to help Wyatt and the campgrounds. She wasn’t expecting this mess… or the beautiful hostess who would try to latch onto Delaney’s man… even if Wyatt wasn’t her man – yet.

I enjoyed LOVE ON LOCATION for several reasons. But in reality, Wyatt is so adorably clueless. He truly is. He’s not picking up on the hostess with the watching eyes… and he’s not picking up on Delaney’s changing feelings for him. Watching this couple work their way through all of the obstacles in their way to a happy ending was pure joy. I had such fun, and I’m betting you will, too. Looking for that romance that will give you some sighs, some chuckles and a really good time? Then check out LOVE ON LOCATION, I’m betting you’ll enjoy yourself.

With a wonderful setting, lovable characters, and friends to something more trope, Love on Location has something for everyone. Delaney is fierce in her desire to save Cabin in the Pines and equally determined that falling in love with Wyatt is out of the question. Delaney is a devoted mother and a true friend, but her growing love for Wyatt could put everything at risk.

I found the setting very picturesque. Cabin in the Pines is one of those places where I could move in and stay forever. But my favorite thing about the book was the characters themselves. While Delaney and Wyatt are the main attraction, secondary characters round out the story with additional humor. I could easily see some of them getting their own books one day. Ursula was probably my favorite secondary character. Her spunk and never-say-die attitude helped keep Delaney on track while providing moments of levity to the seriousness of the situation.

Another facet that interested me was the behind-the-scenes look at TV filming and production. The arrival of the film crew changed everything, tossing Delaney, Wyatt, and the rest of the Pines crew into a topsy-turvy world they never expected.

The best part was in the not knowing. While I thought I knew what would happen at the end, I was still second-guessing myself until the very end. Would Cabin in the Pines be saved? If so, at what cost?

Love on Location moved like a symphony, creating highs and lows that consistently worked your emotions to a fever pitch before building to an award-worthy crescendo.

This book had the best characters and drew me into the story from the very beginning. Wyatt and Delaney have been best friends from childhood. Even though they have suffered heartache and loss, they still do their best to take care of their friends and family. Wyatt’s family campground has fallen on some hard times financially, and Delaney is determined to find a way to save it. She does this by applying for a business “fixer upper” type TV show. Their campground gets accepted for the show, and when the cameras and crew arrive, Wyatt and Delaney’s relationship is suddenly under scrutiny. Do they dare put their solid friendship at risk to see if they truly love each other? This story made me smile and cheer them on through all the upheaval of the renovation of both the campground and their relationship. There’s some great secondary characters in this book, too, that add much to the story. This is light, fun, entertaining reading.

This is exactly the kind of book I’ve come to expect from Hallmark Publishing: A clean, sweet, well-written story with great characters and a storyline that keeps you turning pages to find the happily-ever-after moment. I’m hoping this book is turned into a Hallmark Movie, but honestly, I will probably still think the book was better!

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

A satisfactory example of the genre while maintaining a fresh setting and three-dimensional side characters. The relationships were believable, the friends-to-lovers tension clearly palpable, and the reality show a nice twist. Each character had a defined and developed personality, which was refreshing. And though I grew tired of the will-they-or-won’t-they dynamic of Wyatt and Delaney’s relationship, I adored the consistent reference to “My Girl Friday”, which made their chemistry more believable. Instead of the falling-in-love trope, this novel introduces us to a couple who already care for each other and treats us to the gentle way they get closer and closer to revealing these feelings.

One disappointing factor for me was that the characters do not talk about grief or divorce in a manner that rang true. These sentences felt a little stale and flat, which was a sharp contrast to the freshness the rest of the story offered. I’d love to see these moments more fully developed to add more depth.

Overall, Love on Location satisfies the conventions of the genre with an easy, charming read in a unique location with a fun Reality TV twist!

I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I'm so pleased that Hallmark now has books to go along with their terrific movies. Love on Location, by Cassidy Carter was released in March 1029 and I discovered it shortly after that. So sweet.

Delaney Phillips and Wyatt Andrews have been friends forever. A long lasting, true, friendship is not to be tampered with, not to be ruined and lost. Wyatt's family has owned Cabin In The Pines resort for generations and it's now failing. Delaney has been working out how to save the place. Enter a reality TV show. Gosh, the only thing real is that the show is on TV. The meat of the book is relationships. The loyal employees, a crazy Zen aunt, a tween-ager and of course our couple. Delaney and Wyatt circle around each other for most of the book. Neither one wants to rock the boat but their attraction keeps growing. I love how a BFF became a true love. Was the love always there? Maybe some form that changed with time. It was a sweet journey. Hallmark must have high standards, I've not yet been disappointed.

This was a nice read about best friends discovering their love for each other. Cabins in the Pines is a campground that’s seen it’s best days. Thanks to a modern highway bypass, it’s now a forgotten out of the way place to go. It needs a major influx of cash which neither Delaney or the owner/manager Wyatt have. Delaney contacts a reality tv show as a last resort & they’re interested in filming at the campground. Now she has to find a way to tell Wyatt.

This was a nice feel good romance. The characters were well defined. Best friends discover that they feel more for each other than friendship. The scenery was perfectly described. The campground seemed like my favorite childhood spot. Nice & relaxing. Away from everyday stress. Slightly worn but well loved. The employees seemed more like a family than coworkers. Overall, this was a nice sweet entertaining read.

The story of Delaney and Wyatt moving from friendship to romance. They’ve been friends forever, but they’re both afraid to ruin their friendship by taking a chance on love until a glamorous stranger is added into the mix.
I enjoyed the book as it had lots of details that depict that quintessential childhood camp experience. Some of the drama of the tv series was annoying, but the camp details made up for it.
The characters were interesting and I so wanted to work with that group of people! They seem like an amazing “family” of friends! It would be so fun to go to work everyday with them! They care about each other and look out for each other.
This whole book had a nostalgic feeling for me and it was a lovely read. Would be perfect for summer!
Thank you to the Cassidy, Hallmark and NetGalley for the free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is a sweet, clean romance. Delaney and Wyatt have been friends for always. They grew up running around the campground his parents owned. Now, Delaney is divorced and back home with her daughter. Wyatt is running the campground after his parents death and Delaney is his "girl Friday". The business is floundering after a bypass was built so Delaney applies to a reality show that comes in and helps businesses that are in trouble. Chaos ensues.

I liked the characters. It sounds like one big family at the campground. Each person is different; some are funny, others quirky, some shy. There is some angst when Delaney and Wyatt both think they are in love with each other, but neither wants to damage their friendships. The writing style is easy-to-read and the story moves long at a nice pace.

Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to review this book.

I enjoyed this book by Cassidy Carter. The characters were realistic, charming, and quirky at times. How neat to have a reality show come in to help Wyatt with his Cabins in the Pines, which are struggling financially. He may lose his family owned business that has been handed down through the generations.
I liked the twists that Alexandra brought while they were filming the show, especially at the end of the show. I also enjoyed the friendship Wyatt and Delaney have had for each other since they were kids. Neither one wants to ruin their friendship but you can tell it is more than just friendship.
There were several surprises at the end of the story that I enjoyed and did not see coming. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Thanks to Netgalley for giving me this book to read in exchange for an honest review. No compensation was given, offered, or taken to alter the opinion.

Love on Location is another sweet Hallmark book! This story makes the perfect read for spring and summer with it's campground scenery. While Hallmark books can be enjoyed by a wide variety of ages, I think this particular book is better suited for more mature readers due to the ages of the main characters. However, I enjoyed reading about all of the different characters and loved how they felt like one big family. Overall, this was a sweet and enjoyable read about best friends finally realizing that they are in love with each other.

I liked this story. With the number of reality shows on tv you figure the trend would work its way into the book world. Delaney enters her best friend and boss's business into a contest to help work places that need help to survive. Cabins in the Pines has been losing business since the new highway bypassed their town and now the fixer upper reality show is going to change their way of life forever. Both Delaney and Wyatt have some misgivings about the plan and as their friendship blossoms into romance the pressure builds to make a decision. Nice story from Hallmark and I'm thinking we will soon see this as a movie. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Loved the story line and the characters. I know I would not want to be on reality tv, but we do seem fascinated by some of the folks on them. I would love to go stay at Cabins in the Pines. It sounds like so much fun and to have Maisie and the Bean Pot right there. Seriously, what more would you want! Delaney and Wyatt, what can we say? I totally get their predicament, and there isn’t always an easy answer. I love that this whole crew truly loves and cares for each other. I hope to be able to hang out with them again. I received this book from NetGalley, but my opinion is my own.

3 1/2 stars

Cabins in the Pines is in trouble and it looks like there’s no way out, except Delaney, who seems to fix everything, has contacted a reality TV program that is interested in renovating the campground. Now she just has to drop this bombshell on her best friend, Wyatt.

Love on Location didn’t really have any surprises for me. It’s a simple, wholesome story that you could easily see turned into a Hallmark movie.
