Slay Bells Ringing

Rate this book
Two twisty cozy mysteries by bestselling author Emily James...

In "Unsilent Nights," Criminal defense attorney Nicole Fitzhenry-Dawes wanted nothing more than to relax and spend time with her new husband someplace warm for her honeymoon. But things rarely ever go as planned. With her husband sick from a source they can't identify and a fellow passenger who went missing while the ship was in the middle of the ocean, Nicole has more than one mystery to solve.

In "Ginger Dead Man," cupcake truck owner Isabel Addington was hoping the Christmas season would help turn her struggling business around. Instead of making cupcakes, she ends up investigating a murder when it looks like the police aren't taking the death of a homeless man seriously.

If you enjoy Emily James' Maple Syrup Mysteries or Cupcake Truck Mysteries then you'll enjoy these two fun new cozies set at Christmas time.

Wow, what a book!!!!

15 stars!!!!
I loved this book combining two books to introduce Nicole and Mark on their honeymoon with a missing person, and when home she gets a call from someone in her past.
Then you have Isabel with her cupcake truck helping a homeless man, then he goes missing, she gets blackmailed into helping and having to call Nicole for help.
I couldn't put this book down. I am not going to do a spoiler because this book needs to be a surprise for you. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!! Now I will have to wait for another cupcake truck mysteries, you need to read " Sugar and Vice" to find out where Isabel goes from here. And after that you can read the next book in Maple Syrup series. This book set up the characters for both series.
GREAT READING !!!!

Honeymoons and Christmas Socks

Another great read. Okay this is actual are up of two different stories.
The first is the honeymoon cruise that ends up with him getting ill and her involved with a missing bridegroom. Can she discover what happened to the bridegroom especially once she finds out that he had been wanted for running scam investment schemes back home? Will she be able to keep the much younger bride out of trouble?
The second is Isabel wanting to find out who killed a homeless man whilst keeping herself safe. Can she clear the man's wife now that she's discovered the fact that the wife is wearing the dead man's socks?
Both centre around a Christmas theme and both centre on keeping an innocent out of jail whilst keeping themselves safe.

Review

I really like these stories because they are entertaining and clean. They are about showing God's love and mercy with kindness. The friendships that are made and the differences in family dynamics and the love that exists in those families. I am looking forward to Isabel's story and her happy ending.

Great book!

The plot had just enough twists and turns to keep me guessing until the end. I love all the characters, both old and new. I can't wait to read the next book! The introduction to the new series is very good!

Nice clean reads

I really appreciate a book that doesn't rely on sex, drugs or foul language to present a compelling mystery. They are not so deep in characters and back stories, but are a thoroughly entertaining mystery series.
