A Next Generation: Love in Silence
The Alien Festival in Roswell, New Mexico is an annual four-day event that ends on the Fourth of July. The setting for the story A Next Love in Silence takes place in Roswell, New Mexico at the 2007 Alien Festival. A Next Love in Silence is based on what a second coming might be like if it were to happen.
More than half the town witnesses what is believed to be a UFO sighting, but no one could be certain of what they had seen due to a violent thunderstorm that rolled suddenly into town. The spotlight from a hovering television helicopter illuminated the ground and the pilot, videotaped footage of an unbelievable sight. On the ground lay three lonely silver colored disks. The second coming was here and this time it would be impossible to cover it up.
Sixty years had passed since the infamous 1947 alien crash had occurred outside of Roswell and it seemed that the “War of the Worlds” was about to repeat itself again in the “Alien City” the Land of Enchantment. The National Guard went on the record, and reported that they had captured four unidentified creatures.
The four unusuals were safely secured and secluded away at the air force base outside of town for medical study, but military officials were unaware that two of the creatures remained free to roam the streets undetected.
Juke, leader of the unknown visitors, meets Sonoma, a hearing impaired human, and their exciting adventure begins. Humanity crosses a threshold and romantic tension grows when the extraterrestrial falls in love with the earthling girl. Tension erupts when Juke seeks to fulfill his assignment to learn about earthling sexuality, and curiosity causes Sonoma to learn that lovemaking on Earth will be very different from making love on the Galaxy that exists beyond the stars.
These star-crossed lovers will face many challenging decisions that the reader will by stories end, discover. Will Juke successfully fulfills his mission and take the data back to his people, or will Sonoma choose to leave the Planet Earth and expand her mental ability beyond her wildest expectations?

My interest in writing started in middle school. Throughout my grade school years, I won several writing contests. I gained experience as a grant writer when I was the director for a non-profit. Once upon a time, I held the position of Public Relations Officer for a different non-profit.
I first published in 2011 when I wrote the short story, Next Generation: Love in Silence. The story was based on Romeo & Juliette, but with an alien twist. The book was unveiled at the 2011 Roswell, NM. Alien Festival. I'm self-published through Createspace and my books are also available at Amazon & Kindle, and Goodreads.
