I have so many questions after that ending!

The Dark Truth was a pretty interesting sequel. I liked getting more pieces to our giant mysterious puzzle because I'm still confused as to who betrayed who at this point. Even though Lucifer's brothers are acting real suspicious - bloody angels! Not sure who is betraying the devil either but I can't wait for the big reveal. I just want some bad ass revenge and blood right now.

Other than that, I'm so happy that Sara and her hounds are getting closer to one another. It's definitely helping me out because their chemistry is there and I liked it. I just hated all the teasing and cockblocking moments. I just want them to get all smutty and to stay there.

Again, I'm not sure what answers I'm going to get in the next book but I'm very excited to figure it all out. Let's go kick some demon and angel ass guys!

Hot damn! This was SO much better than the first one!! This had so much story and heart. Each character’s story before they were hounds. I found each story interesting, becoming a hound interesting. And Lucifer. I love him. That’s right, I love Lucifer. And Lucifer and The Dark Truth... damn I just can’t wait for that, can’t wait to dig deeper there. The introduction of new characters and learning more about the existing one made this story so much more. So much. All of that AND it’s still very steamy. Sara and her Hell Hounds are really great together.

As for what’s happening with Hell and what happened with Sara, I leave you with the famous words that played in my head while reading it.
“I know it was you, Fredo” (if you don’t this movie quote, I highly suggest you brush up on your Godfather series movie watching...).

That end... it’s straight to Book 3 for me.

PS-The music still blows to me, but the story is so good, I don’t mind now! So hey! There’s that.

While the book picked up right at the edge of the cliff we were left on, I’m not lying when I say the reveal was not at all what I was expecting. At first hearing she was married was shocking and for a second I also was kinda into the fact she may be adding another to her harem. But hearing the details kinda left me feeling bummed out. It was kinda like being duped with having expected the heroine to be attacked or even killed but instead the man at the door is whom she is married and then to learn that it was essentially only as a farce of a marriage 😕 The rest of the book was good don’t get me wrong but aside from a few interesting and fun scenes the book was lacking in extra action and excitement. Sara’s memories still continue to return and thus much of the gangs time is spent reconnecting and having enough sex that I’m sure Sara is happy in having healing powers. The book worked to set up what I’m hoping will be an explosive and more action packed end, at least to this trios story.

Done

Will not be finishing this series. There was a lot of skipping pages, huffing and puffing, rolling my eyes and wishing for an actual story. Nothing really changed for the most part since book one, a lot of neediness, crying, self loathing, yeah not my cup of tea, oh! And ridiculous amounts of sex, I needed action! A lot is going on with the bad guys and these badasss were having powwows, and sex!!!! It had the makings to be a great book but focused to much on crap if you ask me, was bored To tears!

Michaels brings us right back into the action with no lag-time from book one's cliffhanger.

Without complete memories of her past, Sara is still figuring out who she is now and how the people around her helped to make her into the Sara that they all remember and love.

The book absolutely flew by, and Michaels doesn't waste a moment on those pages. We're getting a lot of movement in all aspects, really, of the action: Sara's memory issues, her relationship(s) with her Hounds, Lucifer's precarious control of Hell and the malanum's attacks, Sara's death and the traitor within Hell's ranks.

I continue to enjoy each of the relationships as well as the pack dynamic that has developed between Sara and the Hounds. Each of the men is meant to be distinct, and I think that Michaels has pulled that off pretty well. Even when it comes to their tastes in the bedroom, there's a certain feel or chemistry that belongs to each Hound alone.

The love between them all is believable, and it's really sweet how they have this unerring loyalty to Sara and their pack bonds. Also possibly underappreciated is the bond between Luce and Sara. I like that Michaels takes a more humane view of her Devil, painting him as a protector rather than the head honcho of evil machinations. I've always been a big fan of that take on the Devil, and I like that hers also has a bit of snarky humor and a gooey inside (for at least his favorite Darling).

Overall, book two was entertaining, easy to follow, and still keeps up the steam at a steady pace. There's a little bit of everything that we need to really get a good book: romance, sex, character development, humor, and tension.

The darkest truths cut the deepest - and mean the most. In this second installment of the Hells Hound Harem, Sara and the gang fall soul deep into the mystery that is surrounding them, and shredding the walls of hell. The Devil is weakening, the spirits are getting loose and Sara's memories are lost to the wisp she once was.

Hell of a continuation in a truly dark series that smacks you upside the head, scrambles your brain and dares your heart to break. Read it.

Holy Hell Hounds! I was wondering how the author was going to top the wild ride that was book one in this trilogy. Now I'm just shaking my head and thinking to myself "oh ye of little faith..."

Upon completion of book two, The Dark Truth, I needed an icy shower. This ride just got deadly serious! It's around chapter forty where we discover the true meaning of pack. Be prepared to howl as the steamy, gritty scent of animal lust wafts off the pages and brings the pack together in a way you will not easily forget. *fans self*

The brilliantly written character development continues as we discover more of the trials and temptations that brought our pack together. Each pack member brings their own strength and vulnerability. Once they come together, they have an unbreakable bond of trust that brings a strength of unity which is unrivalled by any other pack in Hell. They are clearly, THE ALPHA PACK!

This is such a good read! I'm not even phased by the cliff-hanger, since I'm heading straight in to book three! I can't wait to see how this story ends!!! *gasps*

It's a definite 18+ read that contains MFMMM scenes. I personally love a wild ride and that's exactly what this author delivers.

Well done Briana Michaels. I gave it FIVE STARS!!!

Well, that last cliff-hanger was irrelevant. Wait, it was actually needless drama. There was zero point to any of that.
Anyway, the story continues with Sara trying to figure out who killed her the second time, and the walls of Hell getting progressively worse. Sara and her team are tasked with tracking down a witch who will answer one truth about yourself, the answer to which should help them track down the traitor.
There are no repeats of anything like *ThAt ScEnE* again, and the characters continue to struggle with mental health and rediscovering their bonds, which I loved. It just gives them so much more depth and realness to have them not okay with everything they’ve been through. It gets pretty intense in the search for answers.
This was a very addictive instalment of the series, I couldn’t put it down.

I love the characters in this series, but I am struggling to get into it. I keep waiting for something to happen! There is a lot of angst, an acceptable amount of sexy times, but the rest seems to be just talking. Lots and lots of talking, and very little action. When there are action scenes, the action itself seems to take a bit of a backseat to the talking and internal dialogue of the character. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of internal monologue, I have one myself. But a fight scene should have some good action as well! I like the characters and the world enough to read the third book, but if things don't pick up action-wise, I don't know if I will keep going to the next trilogy.

Holy cow!!

This second book in the series is just as good if not better than the first installment. As I read this and followed the storyline as it progressed and became more complex, I could tell that the author took the time to really flesh out her ideas and it was written flawlessly. The storyline keeps getting more complex with more unanswered questions with each new character that is introduced. The author is still keeping me on my toes and each revelation is still a surprise to me.

The Dark Truth character is amazing and I really enjoyed reading the parts with her and each character’s dark truth. Even after Sara’s Hounds’ dark truths are revealed it made me love them as characters even more than I already did.

Sara and Kalen’s past was more detailed in this book with the introduction of Valor and the scene where Lucifer showed Sara his memories of when she first died. I am really enjoying Lucifer’s character in this series and his connection with Sara and her Hounds.

Now the steamy sex discussion... the author does a great job detailing each Hound’s sexual preference and appetite, including Tanner’s. That final scorching sex scene in the book... OMG!!!! It is definitely a scene that I will be re-reading! That scene not only detailed an amazing sex session that I could only fantasize about but it was more than just sex. It was symbolic. It showed that the Hounds are a pack, they are one, and they can rely on everyone and not just one person in their pack for their needs. It was probably my favorite scene in this entire book because of the deeper meaning in it.

This book ended on quite a cliff hanger that has me worried about one of my favorite characters so it’s time for me to start the final book in this trilogy.

This is a fantastic trilogy and I am forever grateful to the author for publishing all three books at once because I would go crazy waiting for the next book. I devoured all three books in less than two days, they were that addictive. And incredibly hot! The plot is great, well executed, and with great three dimensional characters. The author's writing is engaging, addictive, here and there funny, and here and there with such raw emotions, wow! This is not for readers sensitive to violence, explicit sexual situations and language. For the ones who like this kind of stuff, it's a must read.
The moment I saw the covers I had a great feeling and I was right, I absolutely love this trilogy and can't wait to read more from this author. The anticipation for release date was killing me, I started reading the book the moment it was released and downloaded on my kindle.
It absolutely makes no sense to discuss each individual book because the trilogy only makes sense if all the books are read, and in order. In the first book we meet the characters and get a good idea of their personalities and relationships, as well as group dynamic. Some parts of this book are incredibly sad. In the second book, there is a lot more character development, history, and hot sexy stuff as the characters are reacquainting with each other. The third book is the most violent one, with the most disappointment and betrayal, but at the same time so much love, trust and loyalty, as it brings resolution.
The characters are all fantastically developed in their own personalities, predictable like old friends, consistent and completely realistic and logical in their behaviour. And the plot is just amazing, so detailed, intricate, well planned and executed, and in many cases completely unpredictable. I could not have enjoyed it more and I highly recommend it. Thank you Briana Michaels!
The reading order is:

The Dark Truth (Hell Hounds Harem #2)
The Devil's Darling (Hell Hounds Harem #3)

So I have just finished the second book. This book was even darker than the last and I loved every minute of it!! A bit more truth comes out as the cover implies. It is dark and tragic and you get to know the hounds and Sara more. I feel so bad for her and what she has suffered. I have a feeling she will suffer more when she finds out who the traitor is. I have my suspicions of who that might be but will have to wait to see if I'm right in the last book. You will also see a bit more of Lucifer. I really love him! He is trying so hard and his brothers are real ass's! At least to me anyways. I'm so damn curious about the "master" again I have my suspicions. Also, I have a feeling the "master" has a doppelganger for Sara. We will have to wait and see. As for Sara's painting, they are so brutal and I know the answer is in there. A brilliant book and so glad that Briana has all three out at the same time. I'm off to read the third! You will NOT be disappointed!!

Oh my wow.

This is such a complex and crazy story. The hounds have more of their Sara back and through the story price together more about their love, life together and how she died. This book was super raw, breaking down their relationships with each other and Luce. He plays such a huge part in this story, but it’s still unknown if he’s good (for the Devil) or will truly live up to his namesake.

I LOVE how the author incorporates all the music and the love of art into the story too. Can’t wait to find out what happened to Luce and who the mystery bad guy is!

WOW, just wow!!!! This series just got better. As the title suggests, this book is mainly about the truth -- how it can both break you down and build you up.

Sara and her hounds make for one mean team. The author had me on an emotional roller coaster with this (much like with the first book only more so). Once again there was humor - mainly thanks to Tanner - and the emotional parts really tug at the heart. All the hounds, Eli, Jack, Tanner, Kalen and even Sara experience a whole lot of passion in this book, both physically and emotionally.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good steamy read, suspense, some humor, etc. Yes, a whole lot of feels.

Well written, ends on a cliffhanger and lucky for me, I can get to reading the final book immediately.

So glad I decided to take a chance with this series. Great characters, and interesting storyline (and sub-plots). The author does a wonderful job of drawing out the tension and keeping the reader guessing-- and yes, another cliffhanger, but well done. You may as well just buy all three books at the same time, as you'll want to read through to the next book.

The Dark Truth picks up where book 1 left off. Sara and her Hounds are trying to figure out what happened to Sara, and along the way they have to deal with some dark truths about each of them. I liked that we got to learn more about each of their histories. The story does end on a cliffhanger, but luckily book 3 is already out :)

Just keeps getting better

Book one took you on a ride. Book 2 took you on a rollercoaster of emotions. Just when you think one hound was the favorite, the others would be just as awesome making it impossible to choose which makes sense that Sara can't and won't choose. I am off to devour book 3! I can't wait and because all 3 books were released at the same time there is no waiting! It's just freakin awesome.

Super interesting

Though this book has some dark themes, the way the storyline was created keeps your attention and makes those themes not seem out of place. We experience the world from the perspective of those that are often considered evil. I loved this approach and the fact I kept you guessing. I can’t wait for book 3.

- Heroine: Sara
- Harem: Jack, Kalen, Eli, Tanner
- POVs Included: Multiple POVs (Sara, Jack, Eli, Kalen, Tanner, Lucifer)
- Book Playlist (Hell Hounds Harem Series Playlist)

Sara and the guys are trying to figure out the mystery of who killed her the second time. They come into contact with an entity known as “The Dark Truth” who is an incorporeal being who body hops. They think she might be able to help them get to the bottom of it. In the meantime Hell itself seems to be falling apart and they are also trying to find the traitor who might be causing it.

This was…mediocre. That’s basically this series in a nutshell. It’s not BAD, it’s just so very meh. The characters are meh. The romance and sex is meh. The plot is meh. Everything about this series has been entirely underwhelming to me.

I mean, going into it with a series name of “Hell Hounds Harem” you’d think it’d be dark with kind of broken and bad guys. But honestly, everything about these guys is so very vanilla. Even their “kinks” are so boring. For example, they go to this sex club to try to find The Dark Truth and they spend the entire time in a private room. Afterwards Sara says she definitely wants to go back, but only if they go to the private room. Seriously? Why bother then? Why not just go to a hotel room or…you know, a room in their house? How boring!

Kalen is the only one of the heroes who did anything for me. Tanner is a walking contradiction (joking and lighthearted one minute, and self loathing and masochistic the next). And Jack and Eli are just filler with nothing particularly special about either of them.

Then there’s Sara. This is a woman who has a harem who are falling all over themselves for her. This is a woman who has somehow endeared herself to Lucifer himself so much that he gave her part of his soul and let’s her get away with anything (she’s even known as The Devil’s Darling). This is a woman who is supposedly special and the only female Hound ever created. But what makes her special, really? I’m just not seeing it. She doesn’t have that special something that helps me to understand what the big fuss is about. She’s rather bland and boring, just like everything else about this series. With such an impressive portfolio, she should be far more badass and interesting.

And then there’s Lucifer. Who is probably the most disappointing character from the whole series. This is LUCIFER. And he is portrayed as such a weak, self loathing, and overly-emotional being. Nothing about him seems dangerous or bad or anything at all you would associate with Hell. He is the absolute most watered down version of Lucifer I’ve ever read. So boring! So meh! So underwhelming.

I will admit I am curious who the traitor (and the Master) is (my theory is Reggie). But I can’t say I’m curious enough to read the next book. I’ll probably just read a spoiler review or something. I really had to push my way through this one.

Overall it’s a really interesting premise, but the writing style, plot, characters, romance, and sex (basically everything) is just so mediocre and underwhelming. I can’t say I’d recommend the series. I don’t plan to continue unless I get really bored or can’t find a spoiler review to tell me who the traitor is. lol

P.S. The m/m interaction in the harem is SUPER minimal. Like just touching (not even hand jobs) and one kiss. That’s it.

**2.5 stars** there was a lot of potential for this book, but unfortunately this didn’t live up to it. similar to the first, there’s noticeable grammar issues - so if this deters you from reading, this series is probably not for you. in this book specifically, there were a lot of filler chapters; for example, there’s an entire chapter dedicated to a grocery store trip. the whole time i was reading the chapter, i was waiting for something to happen, but it’s literally just a filler chapter. like the previous book, things start picking up towards the last 20% of the book, but the first part of it just seemed mundane and was obviously a filler. in my opinion, this series would have been better off as a duet rather than a trilogy. this would have made for better pacing in the books, and not a drawn out plot with not enough events to keep the reader interested. i’ll finish the series just because i’m interested to see what happens, but this will not be one i come back to read or would recommend to anyone.

The smut is pretty good but parts that were suppose to be smutty were either "fade to black" or lazily written. The story is half way decent but I honestly got bored by book 3. Only made it a couple chapters In it. There's 9 books in this series which I feel like thats a bit much considering where the story was going.

That freaking ending killed me! The book itself added to the story, and holy crap there was plenty of steam, however I found a few moments where I wanted less dialogue. But that might just be a personal preference thing. Cant wait to read the next book!
