‘You’re so stubborn,’ smiled William, stroking gently across her face. ‘But fortunately for you, I’m an incredibly patient lover.’
‘You are?’ she asked, inhaling swiftly.

Lizzie Singleton is a solicitor who's not at a loss for interesting and scandalous cases. William Mortimer needs her help to inherit his estate from his uncle. What he needs is a fake wife, because the only stipulation is to marry. It's a contracted marriage and they can divorce after 2 years. There are to be no feelings involved, but that isn't going to happen once their chemisty sizzles and sparks desire. Theirs is a sweet, cheeky and passionate romance that is forced to face someone who wants to keep them apart. They have a HFN and I hope that they can ultimately find their HEA!
Kitty Windrow does an excellent job with the narration. She has a clear and dynamic voice that brings the characters to life.

This book is very hot and sexy. With an intriguing storyline that will have you hooked. The characters are funny, well built and likeable. Great performance from Deborah.

Fun erotic novel with a modern marriage/engagement of convenience twist featuring a smart solicitor and a local landowner in need of legal recourse.
I've re-read this book a bunch of times, and have to say that it's superior to a lot of contemporary romance novels I've read. The chemistry is great, the plot is interesting, the love scenes are edgier than I'd normally read- BDSM-lite. The front half is all about the gradual evolution of the relationship. The latter half is a lot of love scenes with a couple of plot details holding it together. The conflict at the 80 percent mark seems a bit contrived. No way would a smart solicitor fall for it that easily. But maybe love makes fools of us all.
Anyway, I recommend it-- fun, light, funny, read.

This was such an enjoyable read. Lizzie is a great character - intelligent, kind and feisty - and William is incredibly strong and sexy. The story is light and engaging and the chemistry between the pair is delightful.
