Jake Daniel Stowell is a father, husband, and busy nerd. He works as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Orange County, California. He is the author of The Gauntlet, which tells the tale of the world's first superhero. His second novel, Not the Hero: The Story of Ariana Stance, came from his choose-your-own-adventure podcast, What Next? When Jake isn't therapizing or having impromptu dance parties with his wife and kid, he is working on resurrecting What Next? as an audio drama. Actually, he's probably DMing a goofy D&D campaign or in the middle of a game of Commander. Jake tries to practice what he teaches as a therapist: finding balance, caring for one's body and soul, and treating others well.
